| [3]Henoch, Methuselah, Lamech, |
[3]חֲנֹוךְ מְתוּשֶׁלַח לָמֶךְ׃ |
| [4]Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. |
[4]נֹחַ שֵׁם חָם וָיָפֶת׃ |
| [5]The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. |
[5]בְּנֵי יֶפֶת גֹּמֶר וּמָגֹוג וּמָדַי וְיָוָן וְתֻבָל וּמֶשֶׁךְ וְתִירָס׃ |
| [6]And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. |
[6]וּבְנֵי גֹּמֶר אַשְׁכֲּנַז וְדִיפַת וְתֹוגַרְמָה׃ |
| [7]And the sons of Javan; Elisha, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. |
[7]וּבְנֵי יָוָן אֱלִישָׁה וְתַרְשִׁישָׁה כִּתִּים וְרֹודָנִים׃ |
| [8]The sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan. |
[8]בְּנֵי חָם כּוּשׁ וּמִצְרַיִם פּוּט וּכְנָעַן׃ |
| [9]And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan. |
[9]וּבְנֵי כוּשׁ סְבָא וַחֲוִילָה וְסַבְתָּא וְרַעְמָא וְסַבְתְּכָא וּבְנֵי רַעְמָא שְׁבָא וּדְדָן׃ |
| [10]And Cush begat Nimrod. He began to be mighty upon the earth. |
[10]וְכוּשׁ יָלַד אֶת־נִמְרֹוד הוּא הֵחֵל לִהְיֹות גִּבֹּור בָּאָרֶץ׃ |
| [11]And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim, |
[11]וּמִצְרַיִם יָלַד אֶת־לוּדִיִּים [Q: לוּדִים] וְאֶת־עֲנָמִים וְאֶת־לְהָבִים וְאֶת־נַפְתֻּחִים׃ |
| [12]And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim. |
[12]וְאֶת־פַּתְרֻסִים וְאֶת־כַּסְלֻחִים אֲשֶׁר יָצְאוּ מִשָּׁם פְּלִשְׁתִּים וְאֶת־כַּפְתֹּרִים׃ |
| [13]And Canaan begat Zidon his first-born, and Heth, |
[13]וּכְנַעַן יָלַד אֶת־צִידֹון בְּכֹרֹו וְאֶת־חֵת׃ |
| [14]The Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite, |
[14]וְאֶת־הַיְבוּסִי וְאֶת־הָאֱמֹרִי וְאֵת הַגִּרְגָּשִׁי׃ |
| [15]And the Hivite, and the Archite, and the Sinite, |
[15]וְאֶת־הַחִוִּי וְאֶת־הַעַרְקִי וְאֶת־הַסִּינִי׃ |
| [16]And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. |
[16]וְאֶת־הָאַרְוָדִי וְאֶת־הַצְּמָרִי וְאֶת־הַחֲמָתִי׃ |
| [17]The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech. |
[17]בְּנֵי שֵׁם עֵילָם וְאַשּׁוּר וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁד וְלוּד וַאֲרָם וְעוּץ וְחוּל וְגֶתֶר וָמֶשֶׁךְ׃ |
| [18]And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber. |
[18]וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁד יָלַד אֶת־שָׁלַח וְשֶׁלַח יָלַד אֶת־עֵבֶר׃ |
| [19]And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan. |
[19]וּלְעֵבֶר יֻלַּד שְׁנֵי בָנִים שֵׁם הָאֶחָד פֶּלֶג כִּי בְיָמָיו נִפְלְגָה הָאָרֶץ וְשֵׁם אָחִיו יָקְטָן׃ |
| [20]And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah, |
[20]וְיָקְטָן יָלַד אֶת־אַלְמֹודָד וְאֶת־שָׁלֶף וְאֶת־חֲצַרְמָוֶת וְאֶת־יָרַח׃ |
| [21]Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah, |
[21]וְאֶת־הֲדֹורָם וְאֶת־אוּזָל וְאֶת־דִּקְלָה׃ |
| [22]And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba, |
[22]וְאֶת־עֵיבָל וְאֶת־אֲבִימָאֵל וְאֶת־שְׁבָא׃ |
| [23]And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan. |
[23]וְאֶת־אֹופִיר וְאֶת־חֲוִילָה וְאֶת־יֹובָב כָּל־אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי יָקְטָן׃ |
| [24]Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah, |
[24]שֵׁם אַרְפַּכְשַׁד שָׁלַח׃ |
| [25]Eber, Peleg, Reu, |
[25]עֵבֶר פֶּלֶג רְעוּ׃ |
| [26]Serug, Nahor, Terah, |
[26]שְׂרוּג נָחֹור תָּרַח׃ |
| [27]Abram; the same is Abraham. |
[27]אַבְרָם הוּא אַבְרָהָם׃ |
| [28]The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael. |
[28]בְּנֵי אַבְרָהָם יִצְחָק וְיִשְׁמָעֵאל׃ |
| [29]These are their generations. The first-born of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam, |
[29]אֵלֶּה תֹּלְדֹותָם בְּכֹור יִשְׁמָעֵאל נְבָיֹות וְקֵדָר וְאַדְבְּאֵל וּמִבְשָׂם׃ |
| [30]Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema, |
[30]מִשְׁמָע וְדוּמָה מַשָּׂא חֲדַד וְתֵימָא׃ |
| [31]Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael. |
[31]יְטוּר נָפִישׁ וָקֵדְמָה אֵלֶּה הֵם בְּנֵי יִשְׁמָעֵאל׃ |
| [32]Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan. |
[32]וּבְנֵי קְטוּרָה פִּילֶגֶשׁ אַבְרָהָם יָלְדָה אֶת־זִמְרָן וְיָקְשָׁן וּמְדָן וּמִדְיָן וְיִשְׁבָּק וְשׁוּחַ וּבְנֵי יָקְשָׁן שְׁבָא וּדְדָן׃ |
| [33]And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah, |
[33]וּבְנֵי מִדְיָן עֵיפָה וָעֵפֶר וַחֲנֹוךְ וַאֲבִידָע וְאֶלְדָּעָה כָּל־אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי קְטוּרָה׃ |
| [34]And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel. |
[34]וַיֹּולֶד אַבְרָהָם אֶת־יִצְחָק בְּנֵי יִצְחָק עֵשָׂו וְיִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |
| [35]The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah. |
[35]בְּנֵי עֵשָׂו אֱלִיפַז רְעוּאֵל וִיעוּשׁ וְיַעְלָם וְקֹרַח׃ |
| [36]The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek. |
[36]בְּנֵי אֱלִיפָז תֵּימָן וְאֹומָר צְפִי וְגַעְתָּם קְנַז וְתִמְנָע וַעֲמָלֵק׃ |
| [37]The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. |
[37]בְּנֵי רְעוּאֵל נַחַת זֶרַח שַׁמָּה וּמִזָּה׃ |
| [38]And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezar, and Dishan. |
[38]וּבְנֵי שֵׂעִיר לֹוטָן וְשֹׁובָל וְצִבְעֹון וַעֲנָה וְדִישֹׁן וְאֵצֶר וְדִישָׁן׃ |
| [39]And the sons of Lotan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna was Lotan's sister. |
[39]וּבְנֵי לֹוטָן חֹרִי וְהֹוםָם וַאֲחֹות לֹוטָן תִּמְנָע׃ |
| [40]The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah. |
[40]בְּנֵי שֹׁובָל עַלְיָן וּמָנַחַת וְעֵיבָל שְׁפִי וְאֹונָם וּבְנֵי צִבְעֹון אַיָּה וַעֲנָה׃ |
| [41]The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran. |
[41]בְּנֵי עֲנָה דִּישֹׁון וּבְנֵי דִישֹׁון חַמְרָן וְאֶשְׁבָּן וְיִתְרָן וּכְרָן׃ |
| [42]The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, and Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran. |
[42]בְּנֵי־אֵצֶר בִּלְהָן וְזַעֲוָן יַעֲקָנ בְּנֵי דִישֹׁון עוּץ וַאֲרָן׃ |
| [43]Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah. |
[43]וְאֵלֶּה הַמְּלָכִים אֲשֶׁר מָלְכוּ בְּאֶרֶץ אֱדֹום לִפְנֵי מְלָךְ־מֶלֶךְ לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בֶּלַע בֶּן־בְּעֹור וְשֵׁם עִירֹו דִּנְהָבָה׃ |
| [44]And when Bela was dead Jobab the son of Zera of Bozrah reigned in his stead. |
[44]וַיָּמָת בָּלַע וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו יֹובָב בֶּן־זֶרַח מִבָּצְרָה׃ |
| [45]And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead. |
[45]וַיָּמָת יֹובָב וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו חוּשָׁם מֵאֶרֶץ הַתֵּימָנִי׃ |
| [46]And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith. |
[46]וַיָּמָת חוּשָׁם וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו הֲדַד בֶּן־בְּדַד הַמַּכֶּה אֶת־מִדְיָן בִּשְׂדֵה מֹואָב וְשֵׁם עִירֹו עֲיֹות [Q: עֲוִית]׃ |
| [47]And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead. |
[47]וַיָּמָת הֲדָד וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו שַׂמְלָה מִמַּשְׂרֵקָה׃ |
| [48]And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead. |
[48]וַיָּמָת שַׂמְלָה וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו שָׁאוּל מֵרְחֹבֹות הַנָּהָר׃ |
| [49]And when Shaul was dead, Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead. |
[49]וַיָּמָת שָׁאוּל וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו בַּעַל חָןָן בֶּן־עַכְבֹּור׃ |
| [50]And when Baal-hanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab. |
[50]וַיָּמָת בַּעַל חָןָן וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו הֲדַד וְשֵׁם עִירֹו פָּעִי וְשֵׁם אִשְׁתֹּו מְהֵיטַבְאֵל בַּת־מַטְרֵד בַּת מֵי זָהָב׃ |
| [51]Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timna, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth, |
[51]וַיָּמָת הֲדָד וַיִּהְיוּ אַלּוּפֵי אֱדֹום אַלּוּף תִּמְנָע אַלּוּף עַלְיָה [Q: עַלְוָה] אַלּוּף יְתֵת׃ |
| [52]Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon, |
[52]אַלּוּף אָהֳלִיבָמָה אַלּוּף אֵלָה אַלּוּף פִּיןֹן׃ |
| [53]Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar, |
[53]אַלּוּף קְנַז אַלּוּף תֵּימָן אַלּוּף מִבְצָר׃ |
| [54]Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These are the dukes of Edom. |
[54]אַלּוּף מַגְדִּיאֵל אַלּוּף עִירָם אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי אֱדֹום׃ |
