[1]Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. |
[1]BUT concerning spirituals, my brethren, I wish you to know |
[2]Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, even as ye were led. |
[2]That you were Heathens, and unto idols which have no voice you were led without discernment. |
[3]Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God, calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit. |
[3]I therefore make known to you, that there is no man who by the Spirit of Aloha speaketh, and saith that Jeshu is accursed;ⓘ and no man also can say that Jeshu is THE LORD unless by the Spirit of Holiness. |
[4]Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. |
[4]Now, there are distributions of gifts, but one is the Spirit; |
[5]And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. |
[5]And there are distributions of ministries, but one is the Lord; |
[6]And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God who worketh all in all. |
[6]And distributions of powers, but one is Aloha, who worketh all in every man. |
[7]But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man for profit. |
[7]But to each is given [such] a revelation of the Spirit as is profitable to him. |
[8]For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another, the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; |
[8]To one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom, but to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; |
[9]To another, faith by the same Spirit; to another, the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; |
[9]And to another, faith by the same Spirit; and to another, the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; |
[10]To another, the working of miracles; to another, prophecy; to another, discerning of spirits; to another, divers kinds of languages; to another, the interpretation of languages: |
[10]But to another, powers; to another, prophecy; to another, the discernment of spirits; but to another, kinds of tongues; and to another, the interpretation of tongues. |
[11]But all these worketh that one and the same Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. |
[11]But all these one Spirit effecteth, and divideth unto every man as he willeth. |
[12]For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. |
[12]For, as the body is one, and in it are many members, but all the members of the body, though many, are one body; so also is the Meshiha. |
[13]For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. |
[13]For we all by one Spirit into one body are baptized; whether Jihudoyee or Aramoyee; whether servants or sons of freedom; and all of us have imbibed one Spirit. |
[14]For the body is not one member, but many. |
[14]For the body also is not one member, but many. |
[15]If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? |
[15]For if the foot should say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body itself, would it therefore not be of the body itself? |
[16]And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? |
[16]And if the ear should say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body itself, would it therefore not be of the body itself? |
[17]If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? |
[17]For if the whole body were the eye, where would be the hearing? And if the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? |
[18]But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. |
[18]But now hath Aloha set all the members severally in the body as he willed. |
[19]And if they were all one member, where were the body? |
[19]But if all were one member, where would be the body? |
[20]But now are they many members, yet but one body. |
[20]But now the members are many, but the body one. |
[21]And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. |
[21]The eye is not able to say to the hand, Thou art not needful to me; nor is the hand able to say to the feet, You are not needful to me. |
[22]Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: |
[22]But those members which are considered to be feeble, of them is the more especial need; |
[23]And those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. |
[23]And those which we consider contemptible in the body, to these the more we increase the honour; and on those which are of shame we bestow the greater decoration. |
[24]For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honor to that part which lacked: |
[24]But those members that are honourable in us have no need of adornment:ⓘ but Aloha hath contempered the body, and given the more honour to the member which is inconsiderable; |
[25]That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. |
[25]That there should be no divisions in the body, but all the members equally one of the other should have care: |
[26]And thus if one member suffers all the members suffer with it; or, if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. |
[26]As that when one member shall be diseased, all may suffer; and if one member be glorified, all the members may be glorified. |
[27]Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. |
[27]But you are the body of the Meshiha, and members in your place. |
[28]And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, next miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of languages. |
[28]FOR Aloha hath placed in the church, first, apostles; after them, prophets; after them, teachers; after them, workers of miracles;ⓘ after them, gifts of healing, and helpers, and leaders, and kinds of tongues. |
[29]Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? |
[29]Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? |
[30]Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak in languages? do all interpret? |
[30]Have all the gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues, or do all interpret? |
[31]But covet earnestly the best gifts. And yet I show to you a more excellent way. |
[31]But if you are emulous of great gifts, I will yet show you a way more admirable. |
