| [1]And ElijahH452 the TishbiteH8664, who was of the inhabitantsH8453 of GileadH1568, saidH559[H8799] unto AhabH256, As the LORDH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478 livethH2416, beforeH6440 whom I standH5975[H8804], there shall not be dewH2919 nor rainH4306 these yearsH8141, but accordingH6310 to my wordH1697. |
[1]καὶ εἶπεν ηλιου ὁ προφήτης ὁ θεσβίτης ἐκ θεσβων τῆς γαλααδ πρὸς αχααβ ζῇ κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν δυνάμεων ὁ θεὸς ισραηλ ᾧ παρέστην ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ εἰ ἔσται τὰ ἔτη ταῦτα δρόσος καὶ ὑετὸς ὅτι εἰ μὴ διὰ στόματος λόγου μου |
| [2]And the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came unto him, sayingH559,[H8800] |
[2]καὶ ἐγένετο ῥῆμα κυρίου πρὸς ηλιου |
| [3]GetH3212[H8798] thee hence, and turnH6437[H8804] thee eastwardH6924, and hideH5641[H8738] thyself by the brookH5158 CherithH3747, that is beforeH6440 JordanH3383. |
[3]πορεύου ἐντεῦθεν κατὰ ἀνατολὰς καὶ κρύβηθι ἐν τῷ χειμάρρῳ χορραθ τοῦ ἐπὶ προσώπου τοῦ ιορδάνου |
| [4]And it shall be, that thou shalt drinkH8354[H8799] of the brookH5158; and I have commandedH6680[H8765] the ravensH6158 to feedH3557 thee thereH8771. |
[4]καὶ ἔσται ἐκ τοῦ χειμάρρου πίεσαι ὕδωρ καὶ τοῖς κόραξιν ἐντελοῦμαι διατρέφειν σε ἐκεῖ |
| [5]So he wentH3212[H8799] and didH6213[H8799] according unto the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068: for he wentH3212[H8799] and dweltH3427[H8799] by the brookH5158 CherithH3747, that is beforeH6440 JordanH3383. |
[5]καὶ ἐποίησεν ηλιου κατὰ τὸ ῥῆμα κυρίου καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐν τῷ χειμάρρῳ χορραθ ἐπὶ προσώπου τοῦ ιορδάνου |
| [6]And the ravensH6158 broughtH935[H8688] him breadH3899 and fleshH1320 in the morningH1242, and breadH3899 and fleshH1320 in the eveningH6153; and he drankH8354[H8799] of the brookH5158. |
[6]καὶ οἱ κόρακες ἔφερον αὐτῷ ἄρτους τὸ πρωὶ καὶ κρέα τὸ δείλης καὶ ἐκ τοῦ χειμάρρου ἔπινεν ὕδωρ |
| [7]And it came to pass afterH7093 a whileH3117, that the brookH5158 dried upH3001[H8799], because there had been no rainH1653 in the landH776. |
[7]καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ ἡμέρας καὶ ἐξηράνθη ὁ χειμάρρους ὅτι οὐκ ἐγένετο ὑετὸς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς |
| [8]And the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came unto him, sayingH559,[H8800] |
[8]καὶ ἐγένετο ῥῆμα κυρίου πρὸς ηλιου |
| [9]AriseH6965[H8798], getH3212[H8798] thee to ZarephathH6886, which belongeth to ZidonH6721, and dwellH3427[H8804] there: behold, I have commandedH6680[H8765] a widowH490 womanH802 there to sustainH3557 theeH8771. |
[9]ἀνάστηθι καὶ πορεύου εἰς σαρεπτα τῆς σιδωνίας ἰδοὺ ἐντέταλμαι ἐκεῖ γυναικὶ χήρᾳ τοῦ διατρέφειν σε |
| [10]So he aroseH6965[H8799] and wentH3212[H8799] to ZarephathH6886. And when he cameH935[H8799] to the gateH6607 of the cityH5892, behold, the widowH490 womanH802 was there gatheringH7197[H8781] of sticksH6086: and he calledH7121[H8799] to her, and saidH559[H8799], FetchH3947[H8798] me, I pray thee, a littleH4592 waterH4325 in a vesselH3627, that I may drinkH8354.[H8799] |
[10]καὶ ἀνέστη καὶ ἐπορεύθη εἰς σαρεπτα εἰς τὸν πυλῶνα τῆς πόλεως καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐκεῖ γυνὴ χήρα συνέλεγεν ξύλα καὶ ἐβόησεν ὀπίσω αὐτῆς ηλιου καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ λαβὲ δή μοι ὀλίγον ὕδωρ εἰς ἄγγος καὶ πίομαι |
| [11]And as she was goingH3212[H8799] to fetchH3947[H8800] it, he calledH7121[H8799] to her, and saidH559[H8799], BringH3947[H8798] me, I pray thee, a morselH6595 of breadH3899 in thine handH3027. |
[11]καὶ ἐπορεύθη λαβεῖν καὶ ἐβόησεν ὀπίσω αὐτῆς ηλιου καὶ εἶπεν λήμψῃ δή μοι ψωμὸν ἄρτου ἐν τῇ χειρί σου |
| [12]And she saidH559[H8799], As the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 livethH2416, I haveH3426 not a cakeH4580, but an handfulH4393[H3709] of mealH7058 in a barrelH3537, and a littleH4592 oilH8081 in a cruseH6835: and, behold, I am gatheringH7197[H8781] twoH8147 sticksH6086, that I may go inH935[H8804] and dressH6213[H8804] it for me and my sonH1121, that we may eatH398[H8804] it, and dieH4191.[H8804] |
[12]καὶ εἶπεν ἡ γυνή ζῇ κύριος ὁ θεός σου εἰ ἔστιν μοι ἐγκρυφίας ἀλλ ἢ ὅσον δρὰξ ἀλεύρου ἐν τῇ ὑδρίᾳ καὶ ὀλίγον ἔλαιον ἐν τῷ καψάκῃ καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ συλλέγω δύο ξυλάρια καὶ εἰσελεύσομαι καὶ ποιήσω αὐτὸ ἐμαυτῇ καὶ τοῖς τέκνοις μου καὶ φαγόμεθα καὶ ἀποθανούμεθα |
| [13]And ElijahH452 saidH559[H8799] unto her, FearH3372[H8799] not; goH935[H8798] and doH6213[H8798] as thou hast saidH1697: but makeH6213[H8798] me thereofH8033 a littleH6996 cakeH5692 firstH7223, and bringH3318[H8689] it unto me, and afterH314 makeH6213[H8799] for thee and for thy sonH1121. |
[13]καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτὴν ηλιου θάρσει εἴσελθε καὶ ποίησον κατὰ τὸ ῥῆμά σου ἀλλὰ ποίησον ἐμοὶ ἐκεῖθεν ἐγκρυφίαν μικρὸν ἐν πρώτοις καὶ ἐξοίσεις μοι σαυτῇ δὲ καὶ τοῖς τέκνοις σου ποιήσεις ἐπ ἐσχάτου |
| [14]For thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478, The barrelH3537 of mealH7058 shall not wasteH3615[H8799], neither shall the cruseH6835 of oilH8081 failH2637[H8799], until the dayH3117 that the LORDH3068 sendethH5414[H8800] rainH1653 uponH6440 the earthH127. |
[14]ὅτι τάδε λέγει κύριος ἡ ὑδρία τοῦ ἀλεύρου οὐκ ἐκλείψει καὶ ὁ καψάκης τοῦ ἐλαίου οὐκ ἐλαττονήσει ἕως ἡμέρας τοῦ δοῦναι κύριον τὸν ὑετὸν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς |
| [15]And she wentH3212[H8799] and didH6213[H8799] according to the sayingH1697 of ElijahH452: and she, and he, and her houseH1004, did eatH398[H8799] many daysH3117. |
[15]καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἡ γυνὴ καὶ ἐποίησεν καὶ ἤσθιεν αὐτὴ καὶ αὐτὸς καὶ τὰ τέκνα αὐτῆς |
| [16]And the barrelH3537 of mealH7058 wastedH3615[H8804] not, neither did the cruseH6835 of oilH8081 failH2638, according to the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068, which he spakeH1696[H8765] byH3027 ElijahH452. |
[16]καὶ ἡ ὑδρία τοῦ ἀλεύρου οὐκ ἐξέλιπεν καὶ ὁ καψάκης τοῦ ἐλαίου οὐκ ἐλαττονώθη κατὰ τὸ ῥῆμα κυρίου ὃ ἐλάλησεν ἐν χειρὶ ηλιου |
| [17]And it came to pass afterH310 these thingsH1697, that the sonH1121 of the womanH802, the mistressH1172 of the houseH1004, fell sickH2470[H8804]; and his sicknessH2483 was soH3966 soreH2389, that there was no breathH5397 leftH3498 in himH8738. |
[17]καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ ταῦτα καὶ ἠρρώστησεν ὁ υἱὸς τῆς γυναικὸς τῆς κυρίας τοῦ οἴκου καὶ ἦν ἡ ἀρρωστία αὐτοῦ κραταιὰ σφόδρα ἕως οὗ οὐχ ὑπελείφθη ἐν αὐτῷ πνεῦμα |
| [18]And she saidH559[H8799] unto ElijahH452, What have I to do with thee, O thou manH376 of GodH430? art thou comeH935[H8804] unto me to callH2142 my sinH5771 to remembranceH2142[H8687], and to slayH4191[H8687] my sonH1121? |
[18]καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς ηλιου τί ἐμοὶ καὶ σοί ἄνθρωπε τοῦ θεοῦ εἰσῆλθες πρός με τοῦ ἀναμνῆσαι τὰς ἀδικίας μου καὶ θανατῶσαι τὸν υἱόν μου |
| [19]And he saidH559[H8799] unto her, GiveH5414[H8798] me thy sonH1121. And he tookH3947[H8799] him out of her bosomH2436, and carried him upH5927[H8686] into a loftH5944, where he abodeH3427[H8802], and laidH7901[H8686] him upon his own bedH4296. |
[19]καὶ εἶπεν ηλιου πρὸς τὴν γυναῖκα δός μοι τὸν υἱόν σου καὶ ἔλαβεν αὐτὸν ἐκ τοῦ κόλπου αὐτῆς καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν αὐτὸν εἰς τὸ ὑπερῷον ἐν ᾧ αὐτὸς ἐκάθητο ἐκεῖ καὶ ἐκοίμισεν αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τῆς κλίνης αὐτοῦ |
| [20]And he criedH7121[H8799] unto the LORDH3068, and saidH559[H8799], O LORDH3068 my GodH430, hast thou also brought evilH7489[H8689] upon the widowH490 with whom I sojournH1481[H8711], by slayingH4191[H8687] her sonH1121? |
[20]καὶ ἀνεβόησεν ηλιου καὶ εἶπεν οἴμμοι κύριε ὁ μάρτυς τῆς χήρας μεθ ἧς ἐγὼ κατοικῶ μετ αὐτῆς σὺ κεκάκωκας τοῦ θανατῶσαι τὸν υἱὸν αὐτῆς |
| [21]And he stretchedH4058[H8709] himself upon the childH3206 threeH7969 timesH6471, and criedH7121[H8799] unto the LORDH3068, and saidH559[H8799], O LORDH3068 my GodH430, I pray thee, let this child'sH3206 soulH5315 comeH7725 into himH7130 againH7725.[H8799] |
[21]καὶ ἐνεφύσησεν τῷ παιδαρίῳ τρὶς καὶ ἐπεκαλέσατο τὸν κύριον καὶ εἶπεν κύριε ὁ θεός μου ἐπιστραφήτω δὴ ἡ ψυχὴ τοῦ παιδαρίου τούτου εἰς αὐτόν |
| [22]And the LORDH3068 heardH8085[H8799] the voiceH6963 of ElijahH452; and the soulH5315 of the childH3206 cameH7725 into himH7130 againH7725[H8799], and he revivedH2421.[H8799] |
[22]καὶ ἐγένετο οὕτως καὶ ἀνεβόησεν τὸ παιδάριον |
| [23]And ElijahH452 tookH3947[H8799] the childH3206, and brought him downH3381[H8686] out of the chamberH5944 into the houseH1004, and deliveredH5414[H8799] him unto his motherH517: and ElijahH452 saidH559[H8799], SeeH7200[H8798], thy sonH1121 livethH2416. |
[23]καὶ κατήγαγεν αὐτὸν ἀπὸ τοῦ ὑπερῴου εἰς τὸν οἶκον καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὸν τῇ μητρὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν ηλιου βλέπε ζῇ ὁ υἱός σου |
| [24]And the womanH802 saidH559[H8799] to ElijahH452, Now by thisH2088 I knowH3045[H8804] that thou art a manH376 of GodH430, and that the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 in thy mouthH6310 is truthH571. |
[24]καὶ εἶπεν ἡ γυνὴ πρὸς ηλιου ἰδοὺ ἔγνωκα ὅτι ἄνθρωπος θεοῦ εἶ σὺ καὶ ῥῆμα κυρίου ἐν στόματί σου ἀληθινόν |
