[THE EPISTLE OF PETROS, THE APOSTLE SHEMUN KIPHA.]
[1]Petros an apostle of Ieshu The Messiah to the chosen ones and pilgrims who are scattered in Pontus and in Galatia and in Qapadoqya and in Asia and in Bythunya [1]PETROS, an apostle of Jeshu Meshiha, to the chosen-ones and sojourners who are scattered in Pontos and in Galatia, and in Kapadukia, and in Asia, and in Bithunia:
[2]Those who have been chosen in the prior knowledge of Alaha The Father in sanctification of The Spirit that they will be for obedience and for sprinkling of the blood of Ieshu The Messiah grace and peace be multiplied to you [2]Them who are elected by the foreknowledge of Aloha the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, that they might be unto obedience, and unto the sprinkling of the blood of Jeshu Meshiha: grace and peace be multiplied with you.
[3]Blessed He Alaha His father of our Lord Ieshu The Messiah He who in His pity great begot us from the top by the resurrection of Ieshu The Messiah to the hope of life [3]Blessed be Aloha, the Father of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, who by his abundant grace hath begotten us anew through the resurrection of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha unto the hope of salvation,
[4]And to an inheritance that not is destroyed neither defiled neither withers that which is prepared for you in Heaven [4]And to the inheritance which is not corruptible, and not defiled, and not to be consumed, which is prepared for you in heaven,
[5]While are kept you by the power of Alaha and in the faith for the lives ready to be revealed to the time last [5]While you are kept by the power of Aloha and through faith, unto the salvation which is prepared to be revealed in the last times;
[6]In which lives you shall rejoice for eternity although in this time a little are wearied you with temptations various that come suddenly upon you [6]Wherein you will rejoice for ever, though in this little time you are afflicted by manifold temptations which pass over you;
[7]So that the proof of your faith may appear which is worth more than gold refined which is tried in fire for glory and honor and praise in the revelation of Ieshu The Messiah [7]That the proof of your faith may be seen, which is more precious than gold refined which is proved in fire, unto praise and unto honour and unto glory, at the revelation of Jeshu Meshiha;
[8]Him Whom not you have seen and love you Him and by His faith rejoice greatly you with joy glorious that not is spoken [8]Whom you have not seen and [yet] love, and in whose faith you exult with glorious joy that is not spoken:
[9]That you may receive the reward of your faith the life of your souls [9]That you may receive the recompence of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
[10]Those lives which investigated they had about them the prophets when they prophesied about the grace that going was to be given to you [10]That salvation which the prophets investigated when they prophesied concerning the grace which was to be given unto you,
[11]And they searched in what? time He shows and testifies The Spirit of The Messiah Who dwelt in them that were coming the sufferings of The Messiah and His glory that was from after that [11]And searched into, what time the Spirit of the Meshiha who dwelt in them showed and testified of the future sufferings of the Meshiha, and his glory which [should be] after them.
[12]And it was revealed to them all who searching were because not for themselves seeking they were but for us ours prophesying they were those now is revealed to you by those who evangelized you by The Spirit of Holiness Who is sent from Heaven into which these things long also the angels to gaze [12]And all that they searched was revealed to them; for not for themselves they inquired, but to us [and] of us they prophesied those [blessings] which now are revealed to you by them who have preached to you by the Spirit of Holiness which is sent from heaven; for into these themselves the angels also desire to look.
[13]Because of this gird up the loins of your mind and be attentive perfectly and hope for the joy that is coming to you in the revelation of our Lord Ieshu The Messiah [13]Wherefore gird up the loins of your minds, and be fully wakeful, and hope for the joy that cometh to you at the revelation of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha;
[14]As children obedient and not be you partaking again of your lusts former those that lusting you were without knowledge [14]As obedient children, and not partaking again of the former desires which you desired when ignorant.
[15]But be holy ones in all your way of life as holy He is Who called you [15]But be holy in all your conversations, as he is holy who calleth you;
[16]Because it is written be you holy ones just as also I holy I am [16]Because it is written, Be ye holy, as I also am holy.
[17]And if it is that The Father call on you Him without before Him accepting of faces and judges every person according to his works in reverence be led in time this of your pilgrimage [17]And if you call him Father before whom there is no respect of persons, and who judgeth every man according to his works, with fear conduct you in this time of your sojourn;
[18]When know you that not with silver which wears out and not with gold you were redeemed from your works worthless those that you received from your fathers [18]While you know that not with silver which wasteth away, nor with gold, you have been redeemed from your vain works which you received from your fathers,
[19]But with the blood precious of The Lamb Who blemish and defilement there is not in Him Who is The Messiah [19]But with the precious blood of the Lamb spotless and unblemished, who is the Meshiha;
[20]He before was appointed to this from before the foundation of the world and was manifested in the last of the times for you [20]Who was afore-separated for this from before the foundations of the world, and hath been manifested in these last times for you,
[21]Those who by Him you believed in Alaha Him Who raised Him from the place of the dead and He has given to Him the glory that your faith and your hope would be upon Alaha [21]Who by him believe in Aloha, who raised him from the dead, and gave him glory, that your faith and your hope may be in Aloha.
[22]As would be sanctified your souls in obedience of the truth and they may be filled with love without accepting of faces that from the heart pure and perfect you will be loving one another [22]Let your souls be sanctified in obedience to the truth, and be filled with the charity which respecteth not persons, that with a pure heart and perfect you may love one another,
[23]As persons that from the top you were born not from the seed which fails but from what not fails by the word living of Alaha Who stands for eternity [23]As men who are regenerated, not by a perishable seed, but by that which is imperishable, by the living word of Aloha which abideth for ever.
[24]Because all flesh grass and all its beauty as the blossom of the field withers grass and fades the blossom [24]Because all flesh is grass, and all its beauty as the flower of the field. The grass withereth and the flower drieth up,
[25]And the word of our Alaha stands for eternities and this is word that by which you are evangelized [25]But the word of our God abideth for ever; and this is that word which is preached unto you.
