[1]PAUL, and Sil-va'nus, and Ti-mo'theus, unto the church of the Thes-salo'ni- ans which is in God the Father and in our LORD Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you and peace, from God our Father, and the LORD Jesus Christ. [No book]
[2]We give thanks to God always for you all, remembering you continually in our prayers; [No book]
[3]Mentioning before God the Father the works of your faith and the labor of your love, and the patience of your hope in our LORD Jesus Christ. [No book]
[4]For we know that you are the elected ones, my brethren, and beloved of God. [No book]
[5]For our preaching to you was not in words only, but also in power, and with the Holy Spirit, and with sincere assurance; and you know also how we lived among you for your sakes. [No book]
[6]And you became followers of us, and of our LORD, for you welcomed the word with much tribulation and with joy of the Holy Spirit: [No book]
[7]Thus you have become examples to all the believers in Mac-e-do'ni-a and A-cha'ia. [No book]
[8]Not only have you sounded out the word of our LORD in Mac-e-do'ni-a and A-cha'ia but also, in every place your faith in God has been heard so that we need not speak anything about you. [No book]
[9]For these people themselves relate how we entered first among you, and how you turned to God from idols, to serve the living and true God; [No book]
[10]To wait for his Son from heaven, even Jesus, whom he raised from the dead, for it is he who will deliver us from the wrath to come. [No book]
