| [1]The Spirit but plainly speaks that in the time last they shall depart one [by] one from the faith and they shall go after spirits deceiving and after teachings of demons |
[1]But the Spirit distinctly saith, that in the last times some will remove from the faith, and will go after deceiving spirits, and after doctrines of demons. |
| [2]These who in form false deceive and speak lies and sear their consciences |
[2]These, with a false appearance, will deceive, speaking a lie, and seared in their conscience, |
| [3]And they forbid to be married and abstain from foods those that Alaha created which for use and for thanksgiving to those who believe and know the truth |
[3]And prohibiting to marry, and abstaining from meats, which Aloha created to be used with thanksgiving by them who believe and know the truth; |
| [4]Because that every creation to Alaha good is and there is not anything that is rejected if in thanksgiving it will be received |
[4]Because every creature of Aloha is good, and nothing to be abominated, if with thanksgiving it be received; |
| [5]It is sanctified for by the word of Alaha and by prayer |
[5]For it is sanctified by the word of Aloha, and by prayer. |
| [6]These things if you will teach your brethren a minister good you will be of Ieshu The Messiah as are brought up you by words of faith and by the teaching good that have been taught you |
[6]These if thou shalt teach thy brethren, a good minister wilt thou be of Jeshu Meshiha, while thou wilt be enlarged with words of faith and of the good doctrine which thou hast learned. |
| [7]From fables but insipid of old women abstain and train yourself in righteousness |
[7]But from the foolish stories of old women abstain; and exercise thy soul in righteousness. |
| [8]Exercise for of the body time this a little profits righteousness but in every thing profits and there is for it a promise of life of time this and of the future |
[8]For the exercise of the body a little time profiteth; but righteousness in every thing profiteth, and hath the promise of the life of this time, and of the future. |
| [9]Trustworthy this is saying and worthy is for acceptance |
[9]FAITHFUL is the saying and worthy is it of reception: |
| [10]Because of this is for we toil and we are reproached because we hope in Alaha The Living Who is The Lifegiver of children of men all of them especially of believers |
[10]For on this account we labour and are reproached, because we hope in Aloha the Living, who is the Saviour of all men, and especially of the believers. |
| [11]These things teach and command |
[11]These teach and command. |
| [12]And not a man let despise against your youth but be an example to believers in word and in behavior and in love and in faith and in purity |
[12]And let no man despise thy youth; but be an example to the believers in word, and in conduct, and in charity, and in faith, and in purity. |
| [13]Until come I be diligent in reading and in prayer and in teaching |
[13]Till I come be diligent in reading, and in prayer, and in teaching. |
| [14]And not despise the gift that is in you that which is given to you in prophecy and in laying on hands of the eldership |
[14]Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee with prophecy, and the hand-layingⓘ of the presbytery. |
| [15]In these things meditate and in them be that you may be known to every person before whom come you |
[15]In these meditate, and in them be, that it may be known to every man that thou goest onward. |
| [16]Pay attention to your soul and to your teachings and persevere in them when these things for you do your soul will live and those who hear you |
[16]And take heed to thyself, and to thy doctrine, and persevere in them; for while these thou doest, thyself wilt thou save, and them who hear thee. |
