[1]εκρινα γαρ εμαυτω τουτο το μη παλιν εν λυπη προς υμας ελθειν [1]I decided but this in myself that not again in sorrow I would come to you
[2]ει γαρ εγω λυπω υμας και τις ο ευφραινων με ει μη ο λυπουμενος εξ εμου [2]If I for sadden I you who is? to gladden me but the one whom I sadden him
[3]και εγραψα τουτο αυτο ινα μη ελθων λυπην σχω αφ ων εδει με χαιρειν πεποιθως επι παντας υμας οτι η εμη χαρα παντων υμων εστιν [3]And what I wrote to you is this lest when I come would sadden me those who it fitting was for them that those would gladden me do trust I but in all of you that my joy of you all is
[4]εκ γαρ πολλης θλιψεως και συνοχης καρδιας εγραψα υμιν δια πολλων δακρυων ουχ ινα λυπηθητε αλλα την αγαπην ινα γνωτε ην εχω περισσοτερως εις υμας [4]And from suffering great and from anguish of the heart I wrote to you these things in tears many not so that you would grieve you but so that you would know the love abundant that is with me for you
[5]ει δε τις λελυπηκεν ουκ εμε λελυπηκεν αλλα απο μερους ινα μη επιβαρω παντας υμας [5]If but a man saddens me not it has been me he saddens but in a fashion small you all lest should weigh the statement upon you
[6]ικανον τω τοιουτω η επιτιμια αυτη η υπο των πλειονων [6]Is sufficient for him but this rebuke that is from the many
[7]ωστε τουναντιον-C μαλλον υμας χαρισασθαι και παρακαλεσαι μη πως τη περισσοτερα λυπη καταποθη ο τοιουτος [7]And now on the contrary it is necessary to forgive him and to comfort him lest in grief excessive would be swallowed up he who one such is
[8]διο παρακαλω υμας κυρωσαι εις αυτον αγαπην [8]Because of this beseech I of you to confirm to him your love
[9]εις τουτο γαρ και εγραψα ινα γνω την δοκιμην υμων ει εις παντα υπηκοοι εστε [9]Because of this for I have written also to know by a test if in everything obedient you are
[10]ω δε τι χαριζεσθε καγω και γαρ εγω ο κεχαρισμαι ει τι κεχαρισμαι δι υμας εν προσωπω χριστου [10]The one whom you but forgiving are also I am also I for anything that I forgave to him I forgave for your sakes that I forgave in the presence of The Messiah
[11]ινα μη πλεονεκτηθωμεν υπο του σατανα ου γαρ αυτου τα νοηματα αγνοουμεν [11]Lest would overtake us Satan we know for his devices
[12]ελθων δε εις την τρωαδα εις το ευαγγελιον του χριστου και θυρας μοι ανεωγμενης εν κυριω [12]When I came but to Troas with the Gospel of The Messiah and was opened to me a door by the Lord
[13]ουκ εσχηκα ανεσιν τω πνευματι μου τω μη ευρειν με τιτον τον αδελφον μου αλλα αποταξαμενος αυτοις εξηλθον εις μακεδονιαν [13]Not was to me rest in my spirit for not I found Titus my brother but I left them and I went out myself to Maqedonia
[14]τω δε θεω χαρις τω παντοτε θριαμβευοντι ημας εν τω χριστω και την οσμην της γνωσεως αυτου φανερουντι δι ημων εν παντι τοπω [14]Thank but to Alaha Who at all times a spectacle He makes us in The Messiah and reveals by us the fragrance of His knowledge in every place
[15]οτι χριστου ευωδια εσμεν τω θεω εν τοις σωζομενοις και εν τοις απολλυμενοις [15]The fragrance we are for sweet in The Messiah to Alaha among those who have life and among those who perish
[16]οις μεν οσμη εκ θανατου εις θανατον οις δε οσμη εκ ζωης εις ζωην και προς ταυτα τις ικανος [16]To the latter the stench of death for death and to the former a fragrance of The Life for life and for these things who? will be worthy
[17]ου γαρ εσμεν ως οι πολλοι καπηλευοντες τον λογον του θεου αλλ ως εξ ειλικρινειας αλλ ως εκ θεου κατεναντι θεου εν χριστω λαλουμεν [17]Not we have been for as others who blend the words of Alaha but as that in the truth and according to that from Alaha before Alaha in The Messiah we speak
