| [1]αρχομεθα παλιν εαυτους συνιστανειν η μη χρηζομεν ως τινες συστατικων επιστολων προς υμας η εξ υμων |
[1]Do we begin again anew to show who we are? or do we need as others to write epistles of commendation to you concerning ourselves, or that you should write to commend us? |
| [2]η επιστολη ημων υμεις εστε εγγεγραμμενη εν ταις καρδιαις ημων γινωσκομενη και αναγινωσκομενη υπο παντων ανθρωπων |
[2]But you yourselves are our epistle, written in our hearts, and known and read of every man. |
| [3]φανερουμενοι οτι εστε επιστολη χριστου διακονηθεισα υφ ημων εγγεγραμμενη ου μελανι αλλα πνευματι θεου ζωντος ουκ εν πλαξιν λιθιναις αλλ εν πλαξιν καρδιαις σαρκιναις |
[3]For you know that you are an epistle of the Meshiha, who hath been ministered by us; written, not with ink but by the Spirit of Aloha the Living; not on tablets of stone, but on the fleshly tablets of the heart. |
| [4]πεποιθησιν δε τοιαυτην εχομεν δια του χριστου προς τον θεον |
[4]BUT such confidence we have through the Meshiha toward Aloha. |
| [5]ουχ οτι αφ εαυτων ικανοι εσμεν λογισασθαι τι ως εξ εαυτων αλλ η ικανοτης ημων εκ του θεου |
[5]For we are not sufficient to think any thing as of ourselves; but our power is from Aloha, |
| [6]ος και ικανωσεν ημας διακονους καινης διαθηκης ου γραμματος αλλα πνευματος το γαρ γραμμα αποκτεινει αποκτεννει το δε πνευμα ζωοποιει |
[6]Who hath made us fit to be ministers of the new covenant, not in the writing, but in the spirit. For the writing killeth, but the Spirit maketh alive. |
| [7]ει δε η διακονια του θανατου εν γραμμασιν εντετυπωμενη λιθοις εγενηθη εν δοξη ωστε μη δυνασθαι ατενισαι τους υιους ισραηλ εις το προσωπον μωυσεως δια την δοξαν του προσωπου αυτου την καταργουμενην |
[7]But if the ministry of death in the writing engraven on stones was with glory, as that the sons of Israel could not look on the face of Musha because of the glory of his face which is abolished, |
| [8]πως-I ουχι μαλλον η διακονια του πνευματος εσται εν δοξη |
[8]How much more then doth not the ministry Of the Spirit excel in glory? |
| [9]ει γαρ η τη διακονια της κατακρισεως δοξα πολλω μαλλον περισσευει η διακονια της δικαιοσυνης δοξη |
[9]For if the ministry of condemnation was glorious, how much more doth not the ministry of justification excel in glory? |
| [10]και γαρ ου δεδοξασται το δεδοξασμενον εν τουτω τω μερει εινεκεν της υπερβαλλουσης δοξης |
[10]For that which was glorified had no glory, in comparison of this excelling glory. |
| [11]ει γαρ το καταργουμενον δια δοξης πολλω μαλλον το μενον εν δοξη |
[11]For if that which was abolished was with glory, how much more shall that which endureth be with glory? |
| [12]εχοντες ουν τοιαυτην ελπιδα πολλη παρρησια χρωμεθα |
[12]Therefore because we have this hope, we speak the more boldly, |
| [13]και ου καθαπερ μωυσης ετιθει καλυμμα επι το προσωπον αυτου προς το μη ατενισαι τους υιους ισραηλ εις το τελος του καταργουμενου |
[13]And [are] not as Musha, who threw the veil upon his face, that the sons of Israel might not look upon the End of that which was to be abolished. |
| [14]αλλα επωρωθη τα νοηματα αυτων αχρι γαρ της σημερον ημερας το αυτο καλυμμα επι τη αναγνωσει της παλαιας διαθηκης μενει μη ανακαλυπτομενον οτι εν χριστω καταργειται |
[14]But they are blinded in their minds unto this day. For when the old covenant is read, that very veil standeth upon them, nor is it apparent [to them] that in the Meshiha it hath been abolished. |
| [15]αλλ εως σημερον ηνικα αν αναγινωσκηται μωυσης καλυμμα επι την καρδιαν αυτων κειται |
[15]And unto this day, when Musha is read, the veil is thrown upon their heart. |
| [16]ηνικα δε εαν επιστρεψη προς κυριον περιαιρειται το καλυμμα |
[16]And when any one of them is converted unto the Lord, the veil from him is uplifted. |
| [17]ο δε κυριος το πνευμα εστιν ου δε το πνευμα κυριου ελευθερια |
[17]But the Lord himself is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord, [there] is liberty. |
| [18]ημεις δε παντες ανακεκαλυμμενω προσωπω την δοξαν κυριου κατοπτριζομενοι την αυτην εικονα μεταμορφουμεθα απο δοξης εις δοξαν καθαπερ απο κυριου πνευματος |
[18]But we all with disclosedⓘ faces behold the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, and into the resemblance of it are changed from brightness to brightness, as by the Lord the Spirit. |
