| [1]We besech you brethren, by the comming of our Lorde Iesus Christe, and by our assembling vnto hym |
[1]But we beseech of you, my brethren, as it regards the coming of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, and our assemblage with him, |
| [2]That ye be not sodenlye moued from [your] minde, nor be troubled, neither by spirite, nor by worde, nor yet by letter, as from vs, as though the daye of Christe were at hande |
[2]That you be not soon moved in your minds, nor perturbed, nor by word, nor by spirit, nor by letter, which [may be] as [if it were] from us, that, Behold, the day of our Lord cometh! |
| [3]Let no man deceaue you by any meanes, for [the Lorde shall not come] excepte there come a fallyng away first, & that that man of sinne be reuealed, the sonne of perdition |
[3]Let no one deceive you by any one of the methods,ⓘ because unless there shall come first the rebellion,ⓘ and there be revealed the man of sin, the son of perdition; |
| [4][Whiche is] an aduersarie, and is exalted aboue all that is called God, or that is worshipped: so that he as God, sitteth in the temple of God, shewing hym selfe that he is God |
[4]He who is the adversary, and is exalted over all who is called God and Venerable; so that also in the temple of Aloha as Aloha he will sit, and will make manifest of himself as that he is Aloha. |
| [5]Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I tolde you these thynges |
[5]Do you not remember, that, when I was with you, these I told you? |
| [6]And nowe ye knowe what withholdeth, that he myght be reuealed in his tyme |
[6]And now you know what [with]holdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. |
| [7]For the misterie of iniquitie doth alredie worke, tyll he whiche nowe onlye letteth, be taken out of the way |
[7]For the mystery of iniquity already beginneth to be effective; only if that which now holdeth be taken from the midst, |
| [8]And then shall that wicked be reuealed, whom the Lorde shall consume with the spirite of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightnesse of his commyng |
[8]Then will be revealed that evil one, whom our Lord Jeshu will consume by the spirit of his mouth, and will abolish by the revelation of his advent. |
| [9][Euen hym] whose commyng is after the workyng of Satan, in all power & signes, and wonders, of lying |
[9]For the coming of that [wicked one] is the working of Satana, with all power, and [with] signs and false miracles, |
| [10]And in all deceauablenesse of vnryghteousnesse, in them that peryshe: because they receaued not the loue of the trueth, that they myght be saued |
[10]And with all unrighteous deception which is done in them who perish, because they have not received the love of the truth by which they might have been saved. |
| [11]And therefore God shall sende them strong delusion, that they should beleue lyes |
[11]Wherefore Aloha will send them the working of deception, that they will believe the lie, |
| [12]That all they myght be dampned whiche beleued not the trueth, but had pleasure in vnryghteousnes |
[12]And all of them will be judged who have not believed in the truth, but have had pleasure in unrighteousness. |
| [13]But we are bounde to geue thankes alway to God for you, brethren beloued of the Lorde, because that God hath fro the begynnyng chosen you to saluation in sanctifiyng of the spirite, & [in] fayth of the trueth |
[13]But we are bound to give thanks unto Aloha at all time for you, our brethren, beloved in our Lord, because Aloha hath chosen you from the beginning unto salvation, by sanctification of the Spirit, and by the belief of the truth. |
| [14]Wherevnto he called you by our Gospell, to the obteyning of the glorie of our Lorde Iesus Christe |
[14]For unto these Aloha called you by our preaching, that you should be the glory of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha. |
| [15]Therfore brethren stande fast, and holde the ordinaunces whiche ye haue ben taught, whether it were by our preachyng, or by our epistle |
[15]Wherefore, my brethren, stand fast, and persevere in the preceptsⓘ which you have been taught, whether by word, or by our epistle. |
| [16]Our Lorde Iesus Christe, and God and our father, whiche hath loued vs, and hath geuen vs euerlastyng consolation, and good hope in grace |
[16]But our Lord Jeshu Meshiha himself, and Aloha our Father, who hath loved us, and given us everlasting consolation,ⓘ and a good hope through grace, |
| [17]Comfort your heartes, and stablysshe you in all good saying and doyng |
[17]Will comfort your hearts, and establish in every word and in every work of good. |
