Peshitta NT (Etheridge, 1849)
PesNT(Eth)
[1]From now on brethren pray for us that the word of our Lord will be running and be glorified in every place as with you [1]Henceforth, my brethren, pray for us, that the word of our Lord may run and be glorified in every place, as among you.
[2]And that we will be saved from men evil and vicious not for of every person is the faith [2]And that we may be delivered from wicked men and perverse; for every man hath not faith.
[3]Faithful is but the Lord He Who will keep you and will deliver you from evil [3]But the Lord is faithful, who will keep you and deliver you from evil.
[4]We put trust but upon you in our Lord that whatever we command you you have done also you will do [4]But we confide concerning you in our Lord, that what we have commanded you, you have done, and also are doing.
[5]And our Lord will direct your hearts into the love of Alaha and to the evangelism of The Messiah [5]And our Lord will direct your hearts to the love of Aloha, and to the patience of the Meshiha.
[6]We command you but my brothers in The Name of our Lord Ieshu The Messiah that you be separate from every brother who wicked evil walks and not according to the commandments that they received from us [6]But we command you, my brethren, in the name of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, that you remove from every brother who walketh wickedly, and not according to the precepts which he hath received from us.
[7]You for know you how it is right to imitate us for not we have walked wicked evil among you [7]For you know how it behoveth to imitate us who walked not wickedly among you.
[8]Neither bread without charge have we eaten from any of you but with labor and in toil by night and by day we working were that upon anyone of you not we would be a burden [8]Neither did we eat bread for nothing from any one of you; but with labour and weariness by night and by day we wrought, that upon no one of you we might be burdensome.
[9]Not it was because that not there is authority to us but that by our lives we might yield to you an example that us you may imitate [9]Not because we had not power, but because in ourselves we would give you an example, that you may imitate us.
[10]Also when with you we were for this we commanded had you that everyone who not is willing to work neither should he eat [10]For while we were with you, this we commanded you, that every one who willeth not to work, neither should he eat.
[11]We hear for that there are among you some who wicked evil walk and thing no labor at but only nothing [11]For we hear that there are some among you who walk wickedly, and nothing work, unless vain things.
[12]To them but to such we command and beseech of them in our Lord Ieshu The Messiah that in quietness they shall work and eat their bread [12]But these we command, and entreat of them by our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, that with quietness they work, and eat their [own] bread.
[13]You but my brethren not be weary you to do what is excellent [13]But you, my brethren, be not weary in doing what is good.
[14]And if a man not obeys words these which are in this letter let be separated from you this one neither be you taking part with Him that he may be ashamed [14]And if any man hearken not to these our words in the epistle, let this be separate from you, and be not mixed with him, that he be shamed.
[15]And not as an enemy hold him but be you admonishing him as a brother [15]Yet, not as an enemy hold him, but admonish him as a brother.
[16]He but The Lord of peace give to you peace always in everything our Lord with all of you [16]But the Lord of peace himself will give you peace always, in every thing. Our Lord be with you all.
[17]Greetings in the writing of my hand I Paul have written what is the sign which in all my epistles in this way write I [17]Salutation, by the writing of my hand, I, PAULOS, have written; which is the sign in all my epistles, so I write.
[18]The grace of our Lord Ieshu The Messiah with all of you Amen [18]The grace of Jeshu Meshiha be with you all, my brethren. Amen.
