[1]οὕτωςD δεικνύωVAI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-DS κύριοςN2-NSM καίC ἰδούI ἐπιγονήN1-NSF ἀκρίςN3D-GPF ἔρχομαιV1-PMPNSF ἑωθινόςA1-NSF καίC ἰδούI βροῦχοςN2-NSM εἷςA3-NSM *γωγN--NSMRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM [1]Thus hath the Lord GOD shown to me; and behold, he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and lo, it was the latter growth after the king's mowings.

[3]μετανοέωVA-AAD2S κύριοςN2-VSM ἐπίP οὗτοςRD-DSM καίC οὗτοςRD-NSN οὐD εἰμίV9-FMI3S λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM [3]The LORD repented for this: It shall not be, saith the LORD.
[4]οὕτωςD δεικνύωVAI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-DS κύριοςN2-NSM καίC ἰδούI καλέωVAI-AAI3SRA-ASF δίκηN1-ASF ἐνP πῦρN3-DSN κύριοςN2-NSM καίC καταἐσθίωVBI-AAI3SRA-ASF ἄβυσσοςN2-ASFRA-ASF πολύςA1-ASF καίC καταἐσθίωVBI-AAI3SRA-ASF μερίςN3D-ASF [4]Thus hath the Lord GOD shown to me: and behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.
[5]καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI1S κύριοςN2-VSM κύριοςN2-VSM κοπάζωVA-AAD2S δήX τίςRI-NSM ἀναἵστημιVF-FAI3SRA-ASM *ἰακώβN--ASM ὅτιC ὀλιγοστόςA1-NSM εἰμίV9-PAI3S [5]Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
[6]μετανοέωVA-AAD2S κύριοςN2-VSM ἐπίP οὗτοςRD-DSM καίC οὗτοςRD-NSN οὐD μήD γίγνομαιVB-AMS3S λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM [6]The LORD repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord GOD.
[7]οὕτωςD δεικνύωVAI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-DS κύριοςN2-NSM καίC ἰδούI ἀνήρN3-NSM ἵστημιVXI-XAPNSM ἐπίP τεῖχοςN3E-GSN ἀδαμάντινοςA1-GSN καίC ἐνPRA-DSF χείρN3-DSF αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀδάμαςN3-NSM [7]Thus he showed me: and behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumb-line, with a plumb-line in his hand.
[8]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS τίςRI-ASN σύRP-NS ὁράωV3-PAI2S *αμωςN--VSM καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI1S ἀδάμαςN3-ASM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS ἰδούI ἐγώRP-NS ἐντάσσωV1-PAI1S ἀδάμαςN3-ASM ἐνP μέσοςA1-DSN λαόςN2-GSM ἐγώRP-GS *ἰσραήλN--GSM οὐκέτιD μήD προςτίθημιVE-AAS1SRA-GSN παραἔρχομαιVB-AAN αὐτόςRD-ASM [8]And the LORD said to me, Amos, what seest thou? and I said, A plumb-line. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumb-line in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:
[9]καίC ἀπο ἀναἵζωVS-FPI3P βωμόςN2-NPMRA-GSM γέλωςN3T-GSM καίCRA-NPF τελετήN1-NPFRA-GSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM ἐκἐρημόωVC-FPI3P καίC ἀναἵστημιVF-FMI1S ἐπίPRA-ASM οἶκοςN2-ASM *ιεροβοαμN--GSM ἐνP ῥομφαίαN1A-DSF [9]And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.
[10]καίC ἐκ ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S *αμασιαςN1T-NSMRA-NSM ἱερεύςN3V-NSM *βαιθηλN--GSF πρόςP *ιεροβοαμN--ASM βασιλεύςN3V-ASM *ἰσραήλN--GSM λέγωV1-PAPNSM συστροφήN1-APF ποιέωV2-PMI3S κατάP σύRP-GS *αμωςN--NSM ἐνP μέσοςA1-DSN οἶκοςN2-GSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM οὐD μήD δύναμαιV6-PMS3SRA-NSF γῆN1-NSF ὑποφέρωVB-AAN ἅπαςA3-APMRA-APM λόγοςN2-APM αὐτόςRD-GSM [10]Then Amaziah the priest of Beth-el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.
[11]διότιC ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S *αμωςN--NSM ἐνP ῥομφαίαN1A-DSF τελευτάωVF-FAI3S *ιεροβοαμN--NSMRA-NSM δέX *ἰσραήλN--NSM αἰχμάλωτοςA1B-NSM ἄγωVQ-FPI3S ἀπόPRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM [11]For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land.
[12]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *αμασιαςN1T-NSM πρόςP *αμωςN--ASMRA-NSM ὁράωV3-PAPNSM βαδίζωV1-PAD2S ἐκχωρέωVA-AAD2S εἰςP γῆN1-ASF *ιουδαN--GSM καίC ἐκεῖD καταβιόωV4-PAD2S καίC ἐκεῖD προφητεύωVF-FAI2S [12]Also Amaziah said to Amos, O thou seer, go flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:
[13]εἰςP δέX *βαιθηλN--ASF οὐκέτιD μήD προςτίθημιVE-AAS2SRA-GSN προφητεύωVA-AAN ὅτιC ἁγίασμαN3M-NSN βασιλεύςN3V-GSM εἰμίV9-PAI3S καίC οἶκοςN2-NSM βασιλείαN1A-GSF εἰμίV9-PAI3S [13]But prophesy not again any more at Beth-el: for it is the king's chapel, and it is the king's court.
[14]καίC ἀποκρίνωVCI-API3S *αμωςN--NSM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S πρόςP *αμασιανN1T-ASM οὐD εἰμίV9I-IAI1S προφήτηςN1M-NSM ἐγώRP-NS οὐδέC υἱόςN2-NSM προφήτηςN1M-GSM ἀλλάCC αἰπόλοςN2-NSM εἰμίV9I-IAI1S καίC κνίζωV1-PAPNSM συκάμινονN2N-APN [14]Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was a herdman, and a gatherer of sycamore fruit:
[15]καίC ἀναλαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-AS κύριοςN2-NSM ἐκPRA-GPN πρόβατονN2N-GPN καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS βαδίζωV1-PAD2S προφητεύωVA-AAD2S ἐπίPRA-ASM λαόςN2-ASM ἐγώRP-GS *ἰσραήλN--ASM [15]And the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said to me, Go, prophesy to my people Israel.
[16]καίC νῦνD ἀκούωV1-PAD2S λόγοςN2-ASM κύριοςN2-GSM σύRP-NS λέγωV1-PAI2S μήD προφητεύωV1-PAD2S ἐπίPRA-ASM *ἰσραήλN--ASM καίC οὐD μήD ὀχλαγωγέωVA-AAS2S ἐπίPRA-ASM οἶκοςN2-ASM *ἰακώβN--GSM [16]Now therefore hear thou the word of the LORD: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac.
[17]διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSMRA-NSF γυνήN3K-NSF σύRP-GS ἐνPRA-DSF πόλιςN3I-DSF πορνεύωVF-FAI3S καίCRA-NPM υἱόςN2-NPM σύRP-GS καίCRA-NPF θυγάτηρN3-NPF σύRP-GS ἐνP ῥομφαίαN1A-DSF πίπτωVF2-FMI3P καίCRA-NSF γῆN1-NSF σύRP-GS ἐνP σχοινίονN2N-DSN καταμετρέωVC-FPI3S καίC σύRP-NS ἐνP γῆN1-DSF ἀκάθαρτοςA1B-DSF τελευτάωVF-FAI2SRA-NSM δέX *ἰσραήλN--NSM αἰχμάλωτοςA1B-NSM ἄγωVQ-FPI3S ἀπόPRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM [17]Therefore thus saith the LORD; Thy wife shall be a harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go from his land into captivity.
