| [1]לא תראה את שור אחיך או את שיו נדחים והתעלמת מהם השב תשיבם לאחיך |
[1]Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox nor his sheep go astray, and withdraw thyself from them, but shalt bring them again unto thy brother. |
| [2]ואם לא קרוב אחיך אליך ולא ידעתו־ואספתו אל תוך ביתך והיה עמך עד דרש אחיך אתו והשבתו לו |
[2]And if thy brother be not near unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it into thine house, and it shall remain with thee, until thy brother seek after it: then shalt thou deliver it to him again. |
| [3]וכן תעשה לחמרו וכן תעשה לשמלתו וכן תעשה לכל אבדת אחיך אשר תאבד ממנו ומצאתה לא תוכל להתעלם |
[3]In like manner shalt thou do with his ass, and so shalt thou do with his raiment, and shalt so do with all lost things of thy brother, which he hath lost: if thou hast found them, thou shalt not withdraw thyself from them. |
| [4]לא תראה את חמור אחיך או שורו נפלים בדרך והתעלמת מהם הקם תקים עמו |
[4]Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass nor his ox fall down by the way, and withdraw thyself from them, but shalt lift them up with him. |
| [5]לא יהיה כלי גבר על אשה ולא ילבש גבר שמלת אשה כי תועבת יהוה אלהיך כל עשה אלה |
[5]The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto the man, neither shall a man put on woman's raiment: for all that do so, are abomination unto the Lord thy God. |
| [6]כי יקרא קן צפור לפניך בדרך בכל עץ או על הארץ אפרחים או ביצים והאם רבצת על האפרחים או על הביצים־לא תקח האם על הבנים |
[6]If thou find a bird's nest in the way, in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young, |
| [7]שלח תשלח את האם ואת הבנים תקח לך למען ייטב לך והארכת ימים |
[7]But shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee, that thou mayest prosper and prolong thy days. |
| [8]כי תבנה בית חדש ועשית מעקה לגגך ולא תשים דמים בביתך כי יפל הנפל ממנו |
[8]When thou buildest a new house, thou shalt make a battlement on thy roof, that thou lay not blood upon thine house, if any man fall thence. |
| [9]לא תזרע כרמך כלאים פן תקדש המלאה הזרע אשר תזרע ותבואת הכרם |
[9]Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers kinds of seeds, lest thou defile the increase of the seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of the vineyard. |
| [10]לא תחרש בשור ובחמר יחדו |
[10]Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together. |
| [11]לא תלבש שעטנז צמר ופשתים יחדו |
[11]Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woolen and linen together. |
| [12]גדלים תעשה לך על ארבע כנפות כסותך אשר תכסה בה |
[12]Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself. |
| [13]כי יקח איש אשה ובא אליה ושנאה |
[13]If a man take a wife, and when he hath lain with her, hate her, |
| [14]ושם לה עלילת דברים והוצא עליה שם רע ואמר את האשה הזאת לקחתי ואקרב אליה ולא מצאתי לה בתולים |
[14]And lay slanderous things unto her charge, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this wife, and when I came to her, I found her not a maiden, |
| [15]ולקח אבי הנער ואמה והוציאו את בתולי הנער אל זקני העיר־השערה |
[15]Then shall the father of the maiden and her mother take and bring the signs of the maiden's virginity unto the elders of the city to the gate. |
| [16]ואמר אבי הנער אל הזקנים את בתי נתתי לאיש הזה לאשה־וישנאה |
[16]And the maiden's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her: |
| [17]והנה הוא שם עלילת דברים לאמר לא מצאתי לבתך בתולים ואלה בתולי בתי ופרשו השמלה לפני זקני העיר |
[17]And lo, he layeth slanderous things unto her charge, saying, I found not thy daughter a maiden: lo, these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity: and they shall spread the vesture before the elders of the city. |
| [18]ולקחו זקני העיר ההוא את האיש ויסרו אתו |
[18]Then the elders of the city shall take that man and chastise him, |
| [19]וענשו אתו מאה כסף ונתנו לאבי הנערה־כי הוציא שם רע על בתולת ישראל ולו תהיה לאשה לא יוכל לשלחה כל ימיו |
[19]And shall condemn him in an hundred shekels of sliver, and give them unto the father of the maiden, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a maiden of Israel: and she shall be his wife, and he may not put her away all his life. |
| [20]ואם אמת היה הדבר הזה לא נמצאו בתולים לנער |
[20]But if this thing be true, that the maiden be not found a virgin, |
| [21]והוציאו את הנער אל פתח בית אביה וסקלוה אנשי עירה באבנים ומתה־כי עשתה נבלה בישראל לזנות בית אביה ובערת הרע מקרבך |
[21]Then shall they bring forth the maiden to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones to death: for she hath wrought folly in Israel, by playing the whore in her father's house: so thou shalt put evil away from among you. |
| [22]כי ימצא איש שכב עם אשה בעלת בעל ומתו גם שניהם־האיש השכב עם האשה והאשה ובערת הרע מישראל |
[22]If a man be found lying with a woman married to a man, then they shall die even both twain: to wit, the man that lay with the wife, and the wife: so thou shalt put away evil from Israel. |
| [23]כי יהיה נער בתולה מארשה לאיש ומצאה איש בעיר ושכב עמה |
[23]If a maid be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the town and lie with her, |
| [24]והוצאתם את שניהם אל שער העיר ההוא וסקלתם אתם באבנים ומתו־את הנער על דבר אשר לא צעקה בעיר ואת האיש על דבר אשר ענה את אשת רעהו ובערת הרע מקרבך |
[24]Then shall ye bring them both out unto the gates of the same city, and shall stone them with stones to death: the maiden because she cried not, being in the city, and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbor's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you. |
| [25]ואם בשדה ימצא האיש את הנער המארשה והחזיק בה האיש ושכב עמה ומת האיש אשר שכב עמה־לבדו |
[25]But if a man find a betrothed maiden in the field, and force her, and lie with her, then the man that lay with her, shall die alone: |
| [26]ולנער לא תעשה דבר אין לנער חטא מות כי כאשר יקום איש על רעהו ורצחו נפש־כן הדבר הזה |
[26]And unto the maiden thou shalt do nothing, because there is in the maiden no cause of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbor and woundeth him to death, so is this matter. |
| [27]כי בשדה מצאה צעקה הנער המארשה ואין מושיע לה |
[27]For he found her in the fields: the betrothed maiden cried, and there was no man to succor her. |
| [28]כי ימצא איש נער בתולה אשר לא ארשה ותפשה ושכב עמה ונמצאו |
[28]If a man find a maiden that is not betrothed, and take her, and lie with her, and they be found, |
| [29]ונתן האיש השכב עמה לאבי הנער־חמשים כסף ולו תהיה לאשה תחת אשר ענה־לא יוכל שלחה כל ימיו |
[29]Then the man that lay with her, shall give unto the maiden's father fifty shekels of sliver: and she shall be his wife, because he hath humbled her: he cannot put her away all his life. |

[30]No man shall take his father's wife, nor shall uncover his father's skirt. |
