| [1]And it shall come to pass, when all these thingsH1697 are comeH935[H8799] upon thee, the blessingH1293 and the curseH7045, which I have setH5414[H8804] beforeH6440 thee, and thou shalt callH7725[H8689] them to mindH3824 among all the nationsH1471, whither the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 hath drivenH5080 theeH8689, |
[1]Now when all these things shall come upon thee, either the blessing or the curse which I have set before thee, and thou shalt turn into thine heart, among all the nations whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee, |
| [2]And shalt returnH7725[H8804] unto the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, and shalt obeyH8085[H8804] his voiceH6963 according to all that I commandH6680[H8764] thee this dayH3117, thou and thy childrenH1121, with all thine heartH3824, and with all thy soulH5315; |
[2]And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and obey his voice in all that I command thee this day: thou, and thy children with all thine heart and with all thy soul, |
| [3]That then the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 will turnH7725[H8804] thy captivityH7622, and have compassionH7355[H8765] upon thee, and will returnH7725[H8804] and gatherH6908[H8765] thee from all the nationsH5971, whither the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 hath scatteredH6327 theeH8689. |
[3]Then the Lord thy God will cause thy captives to return, and have compassion upon thee, and will return, to gather thee out of all the people, where the Lord thy God had scattered thee. |
| [4]If any of thine be driven outH5080[H8737] unto the outmostH7097 parts of heavenH8064, from thence will the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 gatherH6908[H8762] thee, and from thence will he fetchH3947 theeH8799: |
[4]Though thou werest cast unto the utmost part of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will he take thee, |
| [5]And the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 will bringH935[H8689] thee into the landH776 which thy fathersH1 possessedH3423[H8804], and thou shalt possessH3423[H8804] it; and he will do thee goodH3190[H8689], and multiplyH7235[H8689] thee above thy fathersH1. |
[5]And the Lord thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it, and he will show thee favor, and will multiply thee above thy fathers. |
| [6]And the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 will circumciseH4135[H8804] thine heartH3824, and the heartH3824 of thy seedH2233, to loveH157[H8800] the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 with all thine heartH3824, and with all thy soulH5315, that thou mayest liveH2416. |
[6]And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, that thou mayest love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. |
| [7]And the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 will putH5414[H8804] all these cursesH423 upon thine enemiesH341[H8802], and on them that hateH8130[H8802] thee, which persecutedH7291 theeH8804. |
[7]And the Lord thy God will lay all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them, that hate thee, and that persecute thee. |
| [8]And thou shalt returnH7725[H8799] and obeyH8085[H8804] the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068, and doH6213[H8804] all his commandmentsH4687 which I commandH6680[H8764] thee this dayH3117. |
[8]Return thou therefore, and obey the voice of the Lord, and do all his commandments, which I command thee this day. |
| [9]And the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 will make thee plenteousH3498[H8689] in every workH4639 of thine handH3027, in the fruitH6529 of thy bodyH990, and in the fruitH6529 of thy cattleH929, and in the fruitH6529 of thy landH127, for goodH2896: for the LORDH3068 will againH7725[H8799] rejoiceH7797[H8800] over thee for goodH2896, as he rejoicedH7797[H8804] over thy fathersH1: |
[9]And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of the land for thy wealth: for the Lord will turn again, and rejoice over thee to do thee good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers, |
| [10]If thou shalt hearkenH8085[H8799] unto the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, to keepH8104[H8800] his commandmentsH4687 and his statutesH2708 which are writtenH3789[H8803] in this bookH5612 of the lawH8451, and if thou turnH7725[H8799] unto the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 with all thine heartH3824, and with all thy soulH5315. |
[10]Because thou shalt obey the voice of the Lord thy God, in keeping his commandments, and his ordinances, which are written in the book of this law, when thou shalt return unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart and with all thy soul. |
| [11]For this commandmentH4687 which I commandH6680[H8764] thee this dayH3117, it is not hiddenH6381[H8737] from thee, neither is it far offH7350. |
[11]For this commandment which I command thee this day, is not hid from thee, neither is it far off. |
| [12]It is not in heavenH8064, that thou shouldest sayH559[H8800], Who shall go upH5927[H8799] for us to heavenH8064, and bringH3947[H8799] it unto us, that we may hearH8085[H8686] it, and doH6213 itH8799? |
[12]It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it us, and cause us to hear it, that we may do it? |
| [13]Neither is it beyondH5676 the seaH3220, that thou shouldest sayH559[H8800], Who shall goH5674[H8799] overH5676 the seaH3220 for us, and bringH3947[H8799] it unto us, that we may hearH8085[H8686] it, and doH6213 itH8799? |
[13]Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it us, and cause us to hear it, that we may do it? |
| [14]But the wordH1697 is veryH3966 nighH7138 unto thee, in thy mouthH6310, and in thy heartH3824, that thou mayest doH6213 itH8800. |
[14]But the word is very near unto thee: even in thy mouth and in thine heart, for to do it. |
| [15]SeeH7200[H8798], I have setH5414[H8804] beforeH6440 thee this dayH3117 lifeH2416 and goodH2896, and deathH4194 and evilH7451; |
[15]Behold, I have set before thee this day life and good, death and evil, |
| [16]In that I commandH6680[H8764] thee this dayH3117 to loveH157[H8800] the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, to walkH3212[H8800] in his waysH1870, and to keepH8104[H8800] his commandmentsH4687 and his statutesH2708 and his judgmentsH4941, that thou mayest liveH2421[H8804] and multiplyH7235[H8804]: and the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 shall blessH1288[H8765] thee in the landH776 whither thou goestH935[H8802] to possessH3423 itH8800. |
[16]In that I command thee this day, to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his ordinances, and his laws that thou mayest live and be multiplied, and that the Lord thy God may bless thee in the land, whither thou goest to possess it. |
| [17]But if thine heartH3824 turn awayH6437[H8799], so that thou wilt not hearH8085[H8799], but shalt be drawn awayH5080[H8738], and worshipH7812[H8694] otherH312 godsH430, and serveH5647 themH8804; |
[17]But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not obey, but shalt be seduced and worship other gods, and serve them, |
| [18]I denounceH5046[H8689] unto you this dayH3117, that ye shall surelyH6[H8800] perishH6[H8799], and that ye shall not prolongH748[H8686] your daysH3117 upon the landH127, whither thou passest overH5674[H8802] JordanH3383 to goH935[H8800] to possessH3423 itH8800. |
[18]I pronounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, ye shall not prolong your days in the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to possess it. |
| [19]I callH5749 heavenH8064 and earthH776 to recordH5749[H8689] this dayH3117 against you, that I have setH5414[H8804] beforeH6440 you lifeH2416 and deathH4194, blessingH1293 and cursingH7045: therefore chooseH977[H8804] lifeH2416, that both thou and thy seedH2233 may liveH2421:[H8799] |
[19]I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live, |
| [20]That thou mayest loveH157[H8800] the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, and that thou mayest obeyH8085[H8800] his voiceH6963, and that thou mayest cleaveH1692[H8800] unto him: for he is thy lifeH2416, and the lengthH753 of thy daysH3117: that thou mayest dwellH3427[H8800] in the landH127 which the LORDH3068 swareH7650[H8738] unto thy fathersH1, to AbrahamH85, to IsaacH3327, and to JacobH3290, to giveH5414 themH8800. |
[20]By loving the Lord thy God, by obeying his voice, and by cleaving unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord swear unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them. |
