[1]Ye shall keep all the commandments which I command thee this day, for to do them: that ye may live, and be multiplied, and go in, and possess the land which the Lord swear unto your fathers. |
| [2]And thou shalt rememberH2142[H8804] all the wayH1870 which the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 ledH3212[H8689] thee these fortyH705 yearsH8141 in the wildernessH4057, to humbleH6031[H8763] thee, and to proveH5254[H8763] thee, to knowH3045[H8800] what was in thine heartH3824, whether thou wouldest keepH8104[H8799] his commandments, or noH4687. |
[2]And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee this forty year in the wilderness, for to humble thee and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments or no. |

[3]Therefore he humbled thee, and made thee hungry, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know it, that he might teach thee that man liveth not by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord, doth a man live. |
| [4]Thy raimentH8071 waxed not oldH1086[H8804] upon thee, neither did thy footH7272 swellH1216[H8804], these fortyH705 yearsH8141. |
[4]Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell those forty years. |
| [5]Thou shalt also considerH3045[H8804] inH5973 thine heartH3824, that, as a manH376 chastenethH3256[H8762] his sonH1121, so the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 chastenethH3256 theeH8764. |
[5]Know therefore in thine heart, that as a man nurtureth his son, so the Lord thy God nurtureth thee. |
| [6]Therefore thou shalt keepH8104[H8804] the commandmentsH4687 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, to walkH3212[H8800] in his waysH1870, and to fearH3372 himH8800. |
[6]Therefore shalt thou keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, that thou mayest walk in his ways, and fear him. |
| [7]For the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 bringethH935[H8688] thee into a goodH2896 landH776, a landH776 of brooksH5158 of waterH4325, of fountainsH5869 and depthsH8415 that spring outH3318[H8802] of valleysH1237 and hillsH2022; |
[7]For the Lord thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land in the which are rivers of water and fountains, and depths that spring out of valleys and mountains: |
| [8]A landH776 of wheatH2406, and barleyH8184, and vinesH1612, and fig treesH8384, and pomegranatesH7416; a landH776 of oilH8081 oliveH2132, and honeyH1706; |
[8]A land of wheat and barley, and of vineyards, and fig trees, and pomegranates: a land of oil olive and honey: |
| [9]A landH776 whereinH834 thou shalt eatH398[H8799] breadH3899 withoutH3808 scarcenessH4544, thou shalt not lackH2637[H8799] any thing in it; a landH776 whose stonesH68 are ironH1270, and out of whose hillsH2042 thou mayest digH2672[H8799] brassH5178. |
[9]A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarcity, neither shalt thou lack anything therein: a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose mountains thou shalt dig brass. |
| [10]When thou hast eatenH398[H8804] and art fullH7646[H8804], then thou shalt blessH1288[H8765] the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 for the goodH2896 landH776 which he hath givenH5414 theeH8804. |
[10]And when thou hast eaten and filled thyself, thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land, which he hath given thee. |
| [11]BewareH8104[H8734] that thou forgetH7911[H8799] not the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, in not keepingH8104[H8800] his commandmentsH4687, and his judgmentsH4941, and his statutesH2708, which I commandH6680[H8764] thee this dayH3117: |
[11]Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, not keeping his commandments, and his laws, and his ordinances, which I command thee this day: |
| [12]Lest when thou hast eatenH398[H8799] and art fullH7646[H8804], and hast builtH1129[H8799] goodlyH2896 housesH1004, and dweltH3427 thereinH8804; |
[12]Lest when thou hast eaten and filled thyself, and hast built goodly houses and dwelt therein, |
| [13]And when thy herdsH1241 and thy flocksH6629 multiplyH7235[H8799], and thy silverH3701 and thy goldH2091 is multipliedH7235[H8799], H7235and all that thou hast is multipliedH8799 |
[13]And thy beasts, and thy sheep are increased, and thy sliver and gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is increased, |
| [14]Then thine heartH3824 be lifted upH7311[H8804], and thou forgetH7911[H8804] the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, which brought thee forthH3318[H8688] out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, from the houseH1004 of bondageH5650; |
[14]Then thine heart be lifted up and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, |
| [15]Who ledH3212[H8688] thee through that greatH1419 and terribleH3372[H8737] wildernessH4057, wherein were fieryH8314 serpentsH5175, and scorpionsH6137, and droughtH6774, where there was no waterH4325; who brought thee forthH3318[H8688] waterH4325 out of the rockH6697 of flintH2496; |
[15]Who was thy guide in the great and terrible wilderness ( wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where was no water, who brought forth water for thee out of the rock of flint: |
| [16]Who fedH398[H8688] thee in the wildernessH4057 with mannaH4478, which thy fathersH1 knewH3045[H8804] not, that he might humbleH6031[H8763] thee, and that he might proveH5254[H8763] thee, to do thee goodH3190[H8687] at thy latter endH319; |
[16]Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not) to humble thee, and to prove thee, that he might do thee good at thy latter end. |
| [17]And thou sayH559[H8804] in thine heartH3824, My powerH3581 and the mightH6108 of mine handH3027 hath gottenH6213[H8804] me this wealthH2428. |
[17]Beware lest thou say in thine heart, My power, and the strength of mine own hand hath prepared me this abundance. |
| [18]But thou shalt rememberH2142[H8804] the LORDH3068 thy GodH430: for it is he that givethH5414[H8802] thee powerH3581 to getH6213[H8800] wealthH2428, that he may establishH6965[H8687] his covenantH1285 which he swareH7650[H8738] unto thy fathersH1, as it is this dayH3117. |
[18]But remember the Lord thy God: for it is he which giveth thee power to get substance to establish his covenant which he swear unto thy fathers, as appeareth this day. |
| [19]And it shall be, if thou do at allH7911[H8800] forgetH7911[H8799] the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, and walkH1980[H8804] afterH310 otherH312 godsH430, and serveH5647[H8804] them, and worshipH7812[H8694] them, I testifyH5749[H8689] against you this dayH3117 that ye shall surelyH6[H8800] perishH6.[H8799] |
[19]And if thou forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify unto you this day that ye shall surely perish. |
| [20]As the nationsH1471 which the LORDH3068 destroyethH6[H8688] before your faceH6440, so shall ye perishH6[H8799]; becauseH6118 ye would not be obedientH8085[H8799] unto the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 your GodH430. |
[20]As the nations which the Lord destroyeth before you, so ye shall perish, because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the Lord your God. |
