| [1]בניא אשׁתמעו לאבהיכונ במרנ הדא גיר כאנא |
[1]Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. |
| [2]והנו פוקדנא קדמיא דמליכ יקר לאבוכ ולאמכ |
[2]Honor thy father and mother (which is the first commandment with promise) |
| [3]דנהוא לכ דשׁפיר ונארכונ חייכ על ארעא |
[3]That it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest live long on earth. |
| [4]אבהא לא תרגזונ בניכונ אלא רבו אנונ במרדותא וביולפנא דמרנ |
[4]And ye, fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in instruction and information of the Lord. |
| [5]עבדא אשׁתמעו למריכונ דבבסר בדחלתא וברתיתא ובפשׁיטות לבא איכ דלמשׁיחא |
[5]Servants, be obedient unto them that are your masters, according to the flesh, with fear and trembling in singleness of your hearts as unto Christ, |
| [6]לא במחזא עינא איכ הו דלבנינשׁא שׁפרינ אנתונ אלא איכ עבדא דמשׁיחא דעבדינ צבינא דאלהא |
[6]Not with service to the eye, as men pleasers, but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, |
| [7]ושׁמשׁו אנונ מנ כלה נפשׁכונ בחובא איכ דלמרנ ולא איכ דלבנינשׁא |
[7]With good will serving the Lord, and not men. |
| [8]כד ידעיתונ דהו מדמ דעבד אנשׁ דשׁפיר הו מתפרע מנ מרנ אנ עבדא הו ואנ בר חארא |
[8]And know ye that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, that same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. |
| [9]אפ אנתונ מריא הכנא הויתונ עבדינ לעבדיכונ הויתונ שׁבקינ להונ סכלותא מטל דידעינ אנתונ דאפ מרכונ דילכונ איתוהי בשׁמיא ומסב באפא לית לותה |
[9]And ye masters, do the same things unto them, putting away threatening: and know that even your master also is in heaven, neither is there respect of person with him. |
| [10]מכיל אחי אתחילו במרנ ובתוקפא דחילה |
[10] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. |
| [11]ולבשׁו כלה זינא דאלהא איכנא דתשׁכחונ למקמ לוקבל צנעתה דאכל קרצא |
[11]Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the assaults of the devil. |
| [12]מטל דתכתושׁכונ לא הוא עמ בסרא ודמא אלא עמ ארכוס ועמ שׁליטנא ועמ אחידי עלמא דהנא חשׁוכא ועמ רוחא בישׁתא דתחית שׁמיא |
[12]For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, and against the worldly governors, the princes of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickednesses, which are in the high places. |
| [13]מטל הנא לבשׁו כלה זינא דאלהא דתשׁכחונ תארעונ בישׁא וכד מעתדינ אנתונ בכלמדמ תקומונ |
[13]For this cause take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to resist in the evil day, and having finished all things, stand fast. |
| [14]קומו הכיל וחזוקו חציכונ בקושׁתא ולבשׁו שׁרינא דזדיקותא |
[14]Stand therefore, and your loins gird about with verity, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, |
| [15]וסאנו ברגליכונ טויבה דאונגליונ דשׁלמא |
[15]And your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace. |
| [16]ועמ הלינ סבו לכונ סכרא דהימנותא דבה תתמצונ חילא למדעכו כלהונ גארוהי יקדא דבישׁא |
[16]Above all, take the shield of faith, wherewith ye may quench all the fiery darts of the wicked, |
| [17]וסימו סנורתא דפורקנא ואחודו סיפא דרוחא דאיתוהי מלתא דאלהא |
[17]And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. |
| [18]ובכל צלונ ובכל בעונ צלו בכלזבנ ברוח ובה בצלותא הויתונ שׁהרינ בכלעדנ כד מצליתונ אמינאית ומתכשׁפינ על אפי כלהונ קדישׁא |
[18]And pray always with all manner prayer and supplication in the Spirit: and watch thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all Saints, |
| [19]אפ עלי דתתיהב לי מלתא במפתח פומי דעינ בגלא אכרז ארזא דסברתא |
[19]And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to publish the secret of the Gospel, |
| [20]הו דאנא איזגדה בשׁשׁלתא דבפרהסיא אמלליוהי איכ דולא לי לממללותה |
[20]Whereof I am the ambassador in bonds, that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. |
| [21]דתדעונ דינ אפ אנתונ מדמ דלותי ומדמ דסער אנא הא מודע לכונ טוכיקוס אחא חביבא ומשׁמשׁנא מהימנא במרנ |
[21] But that ye may also know mine affairs, and what I do, Tychicus my dear brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall show you of all things, |
| [22]דלה שׁדרת לותכונ עליה על הדא דתדעונ מא דלותי ונביא לבותכונ |
[22]Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know mine affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts. |
| [23]שׁלמא עמ אחינ וחובא עמ הימנותא מנ אלהא אבא ומנ מרנ ישׁוע משׁיחא |
[23]Peace be with the brethren, and love with faith from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| [24]טיבותא עמ כלהונ אילינ דמחבינ למרנ ישׁוע משׁיחא דלא חבל אמינ |
[24]Grace be with all them which love our Lord Jesus Christ, to their immortality, Amen. Written from Rome unto the Ephesians, and sent by Tychicus. |
