LXX(EN)
[1]Then the LORDH3068 saidH559[H8799] unto MosesH4872, GoH935[H8798] in unto PharaohH6547, and tellH1696[H8765] him, Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 GodH430 of the HebrewsH5680, Let my peopleH5971 goH7971[H8761], that they may serveH5647 meH8799. [1]And the Lord said to Moses, Go in to Pharao, and thou shalt say to him, These things saith the Lord God of the Hebrews; Send my people away that they may serve me.
[2]For if thou refuseH3986 to let them goH7971[H8763], and wilt holdH2388 them stillH8688, [2]If however thou wilt not send my people away, but yet detainest them:
[3]Behold, the handH3027 of the LORDH3068 isH1961[H8802] upon thy cattleH4735 which is in the fieldH7704, upon the horsesH5483, upon the assesH2543, upon the camelsH1581, upon the oxenH1241, and upon the sheepH6629: there shall be a veryH3966 grievousH3515 murrainH1698. [3]behold, the hand of the Lord shall be upon thy cattle in the fields, both on the horses, and on the asses, and on the camels and oxen and sheep, a very great mortality.
[4]And the LORDH3068 shall severH6395[H8689] between the cattleH4735 of IsraelH3478 and the cattleH4735 of EgyptH4714: and there shall nothingH1697 dieH4191[H8799] of all that is the children'sH1121 of IsraelH3478. [4]And I will make a marvellous distinction in that time between the cattle of the Egyptians, and the cattle of the children of Israel: nothing shall die of all that is of the children's of Israel.
[5]And the LORDH3068 appointedH7760[H8799] a set timeH4150, sayingH559[H8800], To morrowH4279 the LORDH3068 shall doH6213[H8799] this thingH1697 in the landH776. [5]And God fixed a limit, saying, To-morrow the Lord will do this thing on the land.
[6]And the LORDH3068 didH6213[H8799] that thingH1697 on the morrowH4283, and all the cattleH4735 of EgyptH4714 diedH4191[H8799]: but of the cattleH4735 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 diedH4191[H8804] not oneH259. [6]And the Lord did this thing on the next day, and all the cattle of the Egyptians died, but of the cattle of the children of Israel there died not one.
[7]And PharaohH6547 sentH7971[H8799], and, behold, there was not oneH259 of the cattleH4735 of the IsraelitesH3478 deadH4191[H8804]. And the heartH3820 of PharaohH6547 was hardenedH3513[H8799], and he did not let the peopleH5971 goH7971.[H8765] [7]And when Pharao saw, that of all the cattle of the children of Israel there died not one, the heart of Pharao was hardened, and he did not let the people go.
[8]And the LORDH3068 saidH559[H8799] unto MosesH4872 and unto AaronH175, TakeH3947[H8798] to you handfulsH2651[H4393] of ashesH6368 of the furnaceH3536, and let MosesH4872 sprinkleH2236[H8804] it toward the heavenH8064 in the sightH5869 of PharaohH6547. [8]And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, Take you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses scatter it toward heaven before Pharao, and before his servants.
[9]And it shall become small dustH80 in all the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and shall be a boilH7822 breaking forthH6524[H8802] with blainsH76 upon manH120, and upon beastH929, throughout all the landH776 of EgyptH4714. [9]And let it become dust over all the land of Egypt, and there shall be upon men and upon beasts sore blains breaking forth both on men and on beasts, in all the land of Egypt.
[10]And they tookH3947[H8799] ashesH6368 of the furnaceH3536, and stoodH5975[H8799] beforeH6440 PharaohH6547; and MosesH4872 sprinkledH2236[H8799] it up toward heavenH8064; and it became a boilH7822 breaking forthH6524[H8802] with blainsH76 upon manH120, and upon beastH929. [10]So he took of the ashes of the furnace before Pharao, and Moses scattered it toward heaven, and it became sore blains breaking forth both on men and on beasts.
[11]And the magiciansH2748 couldH3201[H8804] not standH5975[H8800] beforeH6440 MosesH4872 becauseH6440 of the boilsH7822; for the boilH7822 was upon the magiciansH2748, and upon all the EgyptiansH4714. [11]And the sorcerers could not stand before Moses because of the sores, for the sores were on the sorcerers, and in all the land of Egypt.
[12]And the LORDH3068 hardenedH2388[H8762] the heartH3820 of PharaohH6547, and he hearkenedH8085[H8804] not unto them; as the LORDH3068 had spokenH1696[H8765] unto MosesH4872. [12]And the Lord hardened Pharao's heart, and he hearkened not to them, as the Lord appointed.
[13]And the LORDH3068 saidH559[H8799] unto MosesH4872, Rise up earlyH7925[H8685] in the morningH1242, and standH3320[H8690] beforeH6440 PharaohH6547, and sayH559[H8804] unto him, Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 GodH430 of the HebrewsH5680, Let my peopleH5971 goH7971[H8761], that they may serveH5647 meH8799. [13]And the Lord said to Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharao; and thou shalt say to him, These things saith the Lord God of the Hebrews, Send away my people that they may serve me.
[14]For I will at this timeH6471 sendH7971[H8802] all my plaguesH4046 upon thine heartH3820, and upon thy servantsH5650, and upon thy peopleH5971; that thou mayest knowH3045[H8799] that there is none like me in all the earthH776. [14]For at this present time do I send forth all my plagues into thine heart, and the heart of thy servants and of thy people; that thou mayest know that there is not another such as I in all the earth.
[15]For now I will stretch outH7971[H8804] my handH3027, that I may smiteH5221[H8686] thee and thy peopleH5971 with pestilenceH1698; and thou shalt be cut offH3582[H8735] from the earthH776. [15]For now I will stretch forth my hand and smite thee and kill thy people, and thou shalt be consumed from off the earth.
[16]And in veryH199 deedH5668 for this cause have I raised thee upH5975[H8689], for to shewH7200[H8687] in thee my powerH3581; and that my nameH8034 may be declaredH5608[H8763] throughout all the earthH776. [16]And for this purpose hast thou been preserved, that I might display in thee my strength, and that my name might be published in all the earth.
[17]As yet exaltestH5549[H8706] thou thyself against my peopleH5971, that thou wilt not let them goH7971?[H8763] [17]Dost thou then yet exert thyself to hinder my people, so as not to let them go?
[18]Behold, to morrowH4279 about this timeH6256 I will cause it to rainH4305[H8688] a veryH3966 grievousH3515 hailH1259, such as hath not beenH3644 in EgyptH4714 sinceH4480 the foundationH3117[H3245] thereof even until nowH8736. [18]Behold, to-morrow at this hour I will rain a very great hail, such as has not been in Egypt, from the time it was created until this day.
[19]SendH7971[H8798] therefore now, and gatherH5756[H8685] thy cattleH4735, and all that thou hast in the fieldH7704; for upon every manH120 and beastH929 which shall be foundH4672[H8735] in the fieldH7704, and shall not be broughtH622[H8735] homeH1004, the hailH1259 shall come downH3381[H8804] upon them, and they shall dieH4191.[H8804] [19]Now then hasten to gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the fields; for all the men and cattle as many as shall be found in the fields, and shall not enter into a house, (but the hail shall fall upon them,) shall die.
[20]He that fearedH3373 the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 among the servantsH5650 of PharaohH6547 made his servantsH5650 and his cattleH4735 fleeH5127[H8689] into the housesH1004: [20]He of the servants of Pharao that feared the word of the Lord, gathered his cattle into the houses.
[21]And he that regardedH7760[H8804][H3820] not the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 leftH5800[H8799] his servantsH5650 and his cattleH4735 in the fieldH7704. [21]And he that did not attend in his mind to the word of the Lord, left the cattle in the fields.
[22]And the LORDH3068 saidH559[H8799] unto MosesH4872, Stretch forthH5186[H8798] thine handH3027 toward heavenH8064, that there may be hailH1259 in all the landH776 of EgyptH4714, upon manH120, and upon beastH929, and upon every herbH6212 of the fieldH7704, throughout the landH776 of EgyptH4714. [22]And the Lord said to Moses, Stretch out thine hand to heaven, and there shall be hail on all the land of Egypt, both on the men and on the cattle, and on all the herbage on the land.
[23]And MosesH4872 stretched forthH5186[H8799] his rodH4294 toward heavenH8064: and the LORDH3068 sentH5414[H8804] thunderH6963 and hailH1259, and the fireH784 ran alongH1980[H8799] upon the groundH776; and the LORDH3068 rainedH4305[H8686] hailH1259 upon the landH776 of EgyptH4714. [23]And Moses stretched forth his hand to heaven, and the Lord sent thunderings and hail; and the fire ran along upon the ground, and the Lord rained hail on all the land of Egypt.
[24]So there was hailH1259, and fireH784[H3947][H8693] mingledH8432 with the hailH1259, veryH3966 grievousH3515, such as there was noneH3808 like it in all the landH776 of EgyptH4714 since it became a nationH1471. [24]So there was hail and flaming fire mingled with hail; and the hail was very great, such as was not in Egypt, from the time there was a nation upon it.
[25]And the hailH1259 smoteH5221[H8686] throughout all the landH776 of EgyptH4714 all that was in the fieldH7704, both manH120 and beastH929; and the hailH1259 smoteH5221[H8689] every herbH6212 of the fieldH7704, and brakeH7665[H8765] every treeH6086 of the fieldH7704. [25]And the hail smote in all the land of Egypt both man and beast, and the hail smote all the grass in the field, and the hail broke in pieces all the trees in the field.
[26]Only in the landH776 of GoshenH1657, where the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 were, was there no hailH1259. [26]Only in the land of Gesem where the children of Israel were, the hail was not.
[27]And PharaohH6547 sentH7971[H8799], and calledH7121[H8799] for MosesH4872 and AaronH175, and saidH559[H8799] unto them, I have sinnedH2398[H8804] this timeH6471: the LORDH3068 is righteousH6662, and I and my peopleH5971 are wickedH7563. [27]And Pharao sent and called Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have sinned this time: the Lord is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
[28]IntreatH6279[H8685] the LORDH3068 (for it is enoughH7227) that there be no more mightyH430 thunderingsH6963 and hailH1259; and I will let you goH7971[H8762], and ye shall stayH5975[H8800] no longerH3254.[H8686] [28]Pray then for me to the Lord, and let him cause the thunderings of God to cease, and the hail and the fire, and I will send you forth and ye shall remain no longer.
[29]And MosesH4872 saidH559[H8799] unto him, As soon as I am gone outH3318[H8800] of the cityH5892, I will spread abroadH6566[H8799] my handsH3709 unto the LORDH3068; and the thunderH6963 shall ceaseH2308[H8799], neither shall there be any more hailH1259; that thou mayest knowH3045[H8799] how that the earthH776 is the LORD'SH3068. [29]And Moses said to him, When I shall have departed from the city, I will stretch out my hands to the Lord, and the thunderings shall cease, and the hail and the rain shall be no longer, that thou mayest know that the earth is the Lord's.
[30]But as for thee and thy servantsH5650, I knowH3045[H8804] that ye will not yet fearH3372[H8799][H6440] the LORDH3068 GodH430. [30]But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye have not yet feared the Lord.
[31]And the flaxH6594 and the barleyH8184 was smittenH5221[H8795]: for the barleyH8184 was in the earH24, and the flaxH6594 was bolledH1392. [31]And the flax and the barley were smitten, for the barley was advanced, and the flax was seeding.
[32]But the wheatH2406 and the rieH3698 were not smittenH5221[H8795]: for theyH2007 were not grown upH648. [32]But the wheat and the rye were not smitten, for they were late.
[33]And MosesH4872 went outH3318[H8799] of the cityH5892 from PharaohH6547, and spread abroadH6566[H8799] his handsH3709 unto the LORDH3068: and the thundersH6963 and hailH1259 ceasedH2308[H8799], and the rainH4306 was not pouredH5413[H8738] upon the earthH776. [33]And Moses went forth from Pharao out of the city, and stretched out his hands to the Lord, and the thunders ceased and the hail, and the rain did not drop on the earth.
[34]And when PharaohH6547 sawH7200[H8799] that the rainH4306 and the hailH1259 and the thundersH6963 were ceasedH2308[H8804], he sinnedH2398[H8800] yet moreH3254[H8686], and hardenedH3513[H8686] his heartH3820, he and his servantsH5650. [34]And when Pharao saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders ceased, he continued to sin; and he hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants.
[35]And the heartH3820 of PharaohH6547 was hardenedH2388[H8799], neither would he let the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 goH7971[H8765]; as the LORDH3068 had spokenH1696[H8765] byH3027 MosesH4872. [35]And the heart of Pharao was hardened, and he did not send forth the children of Israel, as the Lord said to Moses.
