[1]Then I lookedH7200[H8799], and, behold, in the firmamentH7549 that was above the headH7218 of the cherubimsH3742 there appearedH7200[H8738] over them as it were a sapphireH5601 stoneH68, as the appearanceH4758 of the likenessH1823 of a throneH3678. [1]And as I looked, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared upon them like unto the similitude of a throne, as it were a sapphire stone.
[2]And he spakeH559[H8799] unto the manH376 clothedH3847[H8803] with linenH906, and saidH559[H8799], Go inH935[H8798] betweenH996 the wheelsH1534, even under the cherubH3742, and fillH4390[H8761] thine handH2651 with coalsH1513 of fireH784 from betweenH996 the cherubimsH3742, and scatterH2236[H8798] them over the cityH5892. And he went inH935[H8799] in my sightH5869. [2]And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hands with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.
[3]Now the cherubimsH3742 stoodH5975[H8802] on the right sideH3225 of the houseH1004, when the manH376 went inH935[H8800]; and the cloudH6051 filledH4390[H8804] the innerH6442 courtH2691. [3]Now the cherubims stood upon the right side of the house when the man went in, and the cloud filled the inner court.
[4]Then the gloryH3519 of the LORDH3068 went upH7311[H8799] from the cherubH3742, and stood over the thresholdH4670 of the houseH1004; and the houseH1004 was filledH4390[H8735] with the cloudH6051, and the courtH2691 was fullH4390[H8804] of the brightnessH5051 of the LORD'SH3068 gloryH3519. [4]Then the glory of the Lord went up from the cherub, and stood over the door of the house, and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was filled with the brightness of the Lord's glory.
[5]And the soundH6963 of the cherubims'H3742 wingsH3671 was heardH8085[H8738] even to the outerH2435 courtH2691, as the voiceH6963 of the AlmightyH7706 GodH410 when he speakethH1696.[H8763] [5]And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard into the utter court, as the voice of the Almighty God, when he speaketh.
[6]And it came to pass, that when he had commandedH6680[H8763] the manH376 clothedH3847[H8803] with linenH906, sayingH559[H8800], TakeH3947[H8798] fireH784 from between the wheelsH1534, from between the cherubimsH3742; then he went inH935[H8799], and stoodH5975[H8799] besideH681 the wheelsH212. [6]And when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, and from between the cherubims, then he went in and stood beside the wheel.
[7]And one cherubH3742 stretched forthH7971[H8799] his handH3027 from between the cherubimsH3742 unto the fireH784 that was between the cherubimsH3742, and tookH5375[H8799] thereof, and putH5414[H8799] it into the handsH2651 of him that was clothedH3847[H8803] with linenH906: who tookH3947[H8799] it, and went outH3318.[H8799] [7]And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire, that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it and went out.
[8]And there appearedH7200[H8735] in the cherubimsH3742 the formH8403 of a man'sH120 handH3027 under their wingsH3671. [8]And there appeared in the cherubims, the likeness of a man's hand under their wings.
[9]And when I lookedH7200[H8799], behold the fourH702 wheelsH212 byH681 the cherubimsH3742, oneH259 wheelH212 byH681 oneH259 cherubH3742, and anotherH259 wheelH212 byH681 anotherH259 cherubH3742: and the appearanceH4758 of the wheelsH212 was as the colourH5869 of a berylH8658 stoneH68. [9]And when I looked up, behold, four wheels were beside the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub, and the appearance of the wheels was as the color of a chrysolite stone.
[10]And as for their appearancesH4758, they fourH702 had oneH259 likenessH1823, as if a wheelH212 had been in the midstH8432 of a wheelH212. [10]And their appearance ( for they were all four of one fashion) was as if one wheel had been in another wheel.
[11]When they wentH3212[H8800], they wentH3212[H8800] upon their fourH702 sidesH7253; they turnedH5437[H8735] not as they wentH3212[H8800], but to the placeH4725 whither the headH7218 lookedH6437[H8799] they followedH3212[H8799][H310] it; they turnedH5437[H8735] not as they wentH3212.[H8799] [11]When they went forth, they went upon their four sides, and they returned not as they went: but to the place whither the first went, they went after it, and they turned not as they went.
[12]And their whole bodyH1320, and their backsH1354, and their handsH3027, and their wingsH3671, and the wheelsH212, were fullH4392 of eyesH5869 round aboutH5439, even the wheelsH212 that they four hadH702. [12]And their whole body, and their rings, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels were full of eyes round about, even in the same four wheels.
[13]As for the wheelsH212, it was criedH7121[H8795] unto them in my hearingH241, O wheelH1534. [13]And the cherub cried to these wheels in mine hearing, saying, O wheel.
[14]And every oneH259 had fourH702 facesH6440: the firstH259 faceH6440 was the faceH6440 of a cherubH3742, and the secondH8145 faceH6440 was the faceH6440 of a manH120, and the thirdH7992 the faceH6440 of a lionH738, and the fourthH7243 the faceH6440 of an eagleH5404. [14]And every beast had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
[15]And the cherubimsH3742 were lifted upH7426[H8735]. This is the living creatureH2416 that I sawH7200[H8804] by the riverH5104 of ChebarH3529. [15]And the cherubims were lifted up: this is the beast that I saw at the river Chebar.
[16]And when the cherubimsH3742 wentH3212[H8800], the wheelsH212 wentH3212[H8799] by themH681: and when the cherubimsH3742 lifted upH5375[H8800] their wingsH3671 to mount upH7311[H8800] from the earthH776, the same wheelsH212 alsoH1992 turnedH5437[H8735] not from beside themH681. [16]And when the cherubims went, the wheels went by them: and when the cherubims lift up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also turned not from beside them.
[17]When they stoodH5975[H8800], these stoodH5975[H8799]; and when they were lifted upH7311[H8800], these lifted upH7426[H8735] themselves also: for the spiritH7307 of the living creature was in themH2416. [17]When the cherubims stood, they stood: and when they were lifted up, they lifted themselves up also: for the spirit of the beast was in them.
[18]Then the gloryH3519 of the LORDH3068 departedH3318[H8799] from off the thresholdH4670 of the houseH1004, and stoodH5975[H8799] over the cherubimsH3742. [18]Then the glory of the Lord departed from above the door of the house, and stood upon the cherubims.
[19]And the cherubimsH3742 lifted upH5375[H8799] their wingsH3671, and mounted upH7426[H8735] from the earthH776 in my sightH5869: when they went outH3318[H8800], the wheelsH212 also were besideH5980 them, and every one stoodH5975[H8799] at the doorH6607 of the eastH6931 gateH8179 of the LORD'SH3068 houseH1004; and the gloryH3519 of the GodH430 of IsraelH3478 was over them aboveH4605. [19]And the cherubims lift up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were besides them: and everyone stood at the entry of the gate of the Lord's house at the east side, and the glory of the God of Israel was upon them on high.
[20]This is the living creatureH2416 that I sawH7200[H8804] under the GodH430 of IsraelH3478 by the riverH5104 of ChebarH3529; and I knewH3045[H8799] that they were the cherubimsH3742. [20]This is the beast that I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chebar, and I knew that they were the cherubims.
[21]Every oneH259 had fourH702 facesH6440 apieceH259, and every oneH259 fourH702 wingsH3671; and the likenessH1823 of the handsH3027 of a manH120 was under their wingsH3671. [21]Everyone had four faces, and everyone four wings, and the likeness of man's hands was under their wings.
[22]And the likenessH1823 of their facesH6440 was the sameH1992 facesH6440 which I sawH7200[H8804] by the riverH5104 of ChebarH3529, their appearancesH4758 and themselves: they wentH3212[H8799] every oneH376 straightH5676 forwardH6440. [22]And the likeness of their faces was the self same faces, which I saw by the river Chebar, and the appearance of the cherubims was the self same, and they went every one straight forward.
