| [2]Thou sonne of man, thou dwellest in the middest of a rebellious house, which haue eyes to see and yet see not, eares haue they to heare, and yet heare they not: for they are a rebellious house |
[2]SonH1121 of manH120, thou dwellestH3427[H8802] in the midstH8432 of a rebelliousH4805 houseH1004, which have eyesH5869 to seeH7200[H8800], and seeH7200[H8804] not; they have earsH241 to hearH8085[H8800], and hearH8085[H8804] not: for they are a rebelliousH4805 houseH1004. |
| [3]Therfore (O thou sonne of man) prepare thee instrumentes to flit with, & remoue on the day time that they may see, yea [euen] in their sight shalt thou go from thy place to another place, yf peraduenture they wyll consider that they be a rebellious house |
[3]Therefore, thou sonH1121 of manH120, prepareH6213[H8798] thee stuffH3627 for removingH1473, and removeH1540[H8798] by dayH3119 in their sightH5869; and thou shalt removeH1540[H8804] from thy placeH4725 to anotherH312 placeH4725 in their sightH5869: it may be they will considerH7200[H8799], though they be a rebelliousH4805 houseH1004. |
| [4]Thou shalt bryng foorth thine instrumentes as stuffe to flit with by the day tyme in their sight, and thou thy selfe shalt go foorth also at euenyng before their eyes, as they that go foorth to flit |
[4]Then shalt thou bring forthH3318[H8689] thy stuffH3627 by dayH3119 in their sightH5869, as stuffH3627 for removingH1473: and thou shalt go forthH3318[H8799] at evenH6153 in their sightH5869, as they that go forthH4161 into captivityH1473. |
| [5]Digge through the wall in their sight, and cary out therby |
[5]DigH2864[H8798] thou through the wallH7023 in their sightH5869, and carry outH3318 therebyH8689. |
| [6]In their sight shalt thou beare vpon thy shouldiers, and cary it foorth in the darke: hide thy face, that thou see not the earth, for I haue made thee a shewe token vnto the house of Israel |
[6]In their sightH5869 shalt thou bearH5375[H8799] it upon thy shouldersH3802, and carry it forthH3318[H8686] in the twilightH5939: thou shalt coverH3680[H8762] thy faceH6440, that thou seeH7200[H8799] not the groundH776: for I have setH5414[H8804] thee for a signH4159 unto the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478. |
| [7]And I did so as I was commaunded, I brought foorth my stuffe by day as the stuffe of one that goeth into captiuitie: and in the euening I digged through the wall with my handes, and brought it foorth in the darke, and bare it vpon my shoulder in their sight |
[7]And I didH6213[H8799] so as I was commandedH6680[H8795]: I brought forthH3318[H8689] my stuffH3627 by dayH3119, as stuffH3627 for captivityH1473, and in the evenH6153 I diggedH2864[H8804] through the wallH7023 with mine handH3027; I brought it forthH3318[H8689] in the twilightH5939, and I bareH5375[H8804] it upon my shoulderH3802 in their sightH5869. |
| [8]And in the mornyng came the worde of the Lorde vnto me, saying |
[8]And in the morningH1242 came the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 unto me, sayingH559,[H8800] |
| [9]Thou sonne of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, sayd vnto thee, What doest thou |
[9]SonH1121 of manH120, hath not the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, the rebelliousH4805 houseH1004, saidH559[H8804] unto thee, What doestH6213 thouH8802? |
| [10]Then tell them, thus saith the Lorde God, This burden toucheth the prince at Hierusalem, and all the house of Israel that dwell among them |
[10]SayH559[H8798] thou unto them, Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; This burdenH4853 concerneth the princeH5387 in JerusalemH3389, and all the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 that are among themH8432. |
| [11]Tell them, I am your shewe token, lyke as I haue done, so shall it be done vnto them, they shall go into bondage and captiuitie |
[11]SayH559[H8798], I am your signH4159: like as I have doneH6213[H8804], so shall it be doneH6213[H8735] unto them: they shall removeH1473 and goH3212[H8799] into captivityH7628. |
| [12]The prince that is among them shall loade his shoulders in the darke and get hym away, they shall breake downe the wall to cary through by it: he shall couer his face, that he see not the ground with his eyes |
[12]And the princeH5387 that is amongH8432 them shall bearH5375[H8799] upon his shoulderH3802 in the twilightH5939, and shall go forthH3318[H8799]: they shall digH2864[H8799] through the wallH7023 to carry outH3318[H8687] thereby: he shall coverH3680[H8762] his faceH6440, thatH3282 he seeH7200[H8799] not the groundH776 with his eyesH5869. |
| [13]My net will I spreade out vpon him, and he shalbe caught in my net, and I wyll bryng hym to Babylon in the lande of the Chaldees, which he shall not see, and yet shall he dye there |
[13]My netH7568 also will I spreadH6566[H8804] upon him, and he shall be takenH8610[H8738] in my snareH4686: and I will bringH935[H8689] him to BabylonH894 to the landH776 of the ChaldeansH3778; yet shall he not seeH7200[H8799] it, though he shall dieH4191 thereH8799. |
| [14]As for all his helpers & all his bandes that be about hym, I wyll scatter them towarde all the wyndes, and drawe out a sworde after them |
[14]And I will scatterH2219[H8762] toward every windH7307 all that are aboutH5439 him to helpH5828 him, and all his bandsH102; and I will draw outH7324[H8686] the swordH2719 after themH310. |
| [15]So when I haue scattered them among the heathen and strowed them in the landes, they shall knowe that I am the Lorde |
[15]And they shall knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LORDH3068, when I shall scatterH6327[H8687] them among the nationsH1471, and disperseH2219[H8765] them in the countriesH776. |
| [16]But I will leaue a litle number of the from the sworde, hunger, and pestilence, to tell all their abhominations among the heathen where they come, that they may knowe howe that I am the Lord |
[16]But I will leaveH3498[H8689] a fewH4557 menH582 of them from the swordH2719, from the famineH7458, and from the pestilenceH1698; that they may declareH5608[H8762] all their abominationsH8441 among the heathenH1471 whither they comeH935[H8804]; and they shall knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LORDH3068. |
| [17]Moreouer, the worde of the Lorde came vnto me, saying |
[17]Moreover the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came to me, sayingH559,[H8800] |
| [18]Thou sonne of man, with a fearfull tremblyng shalt thou eate thy bread, with vnquietnesse & sorowe shalt thou drynke thy water |
[18]SonH1121 of manH120, eatH398[H8799] thy breadH3899 with quakingH7494, and drinkH8354[H8799] thy waterH4325 with tremblingH7269 and with carefulnessH1674; |
| [19]And vnto the people of the lande speake thou: Thus saith the Lord God to them that dwell in Hierusalem, and to the lande of Israel: they shall eate their bread with sorowe, and drynke their water with desolation: yea the lande with the fulnesse therof shalbe layde waste for the wickednesse of all them that dwell therin |
[19]And sayH559[H8804] unto the peopleH5971 of the landH127, Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069 of the inhabitantsH3427[H8802] of JerusalemH3389, and of the landH776 of IsraelH3478; They shall eatH398[H8799] their breadH3899 with carefulnessH1674, and drinkH8354[H8799] their waterH4325 with astonishmentH8078, that her landH776 may be desolateH3456[H8799] from all that is thereinH4393, because of the violenceH2555 of all them that dwellH3427 thereinH8802. |
| [20]And the cities that nowe be well inhabited, shalbe voyde, & the lande desolate, that ye may knowe that I am the Lorde |
[20]And the citiesH5892 that are inhabitedH3427[H8737] shall be laid wasteH2717[H8799], and the landH776 shall be desolateH8077; and ye shall knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LORDH3068. |
| [21]Yet came the worde of the Lorde vnto me agayne, saying |
[21]And the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came unto me, sayingH559,[H8800] |
| [22]Thou sonne of man, what maner of prouerbe is that which ye vse in the lande of Israel, saying: The dayes are slacke in comyng, & all visions fayle |
[22]SonH1121 of manH120, what is that proverbH4912 that ye have in the landH127 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559[H8800], The daysH3117 are prolongedH748[H8799], and every visionH2377 failethH6?[H8804] |
| [23]Tell them therfore, thus saith the Lord God, I wyll make that prouerbe to ceasse, and they shall no more vse it as a prouerbe in Israel: but say vnto them, the dayes are at hande, and the effect of euery vision |
[23]TellH559[H8798] them therefore, Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; I will make this proverbH4912 to ceaseH7673[H8689], and they shall no more use it as a proverbH4911[H8799] in IsraelH3478; but sayH1696[H8761] unto them, The daysH3117 are at handH7126[H8804], and the effectH1697 of every visionH2377. |
| [24]There shall no vision be any more in vayne, neither any flattering diuination within the house of Israel |
[24]For there shall be no more any vainH7723 visionH2377 nor flatteringH2509 divinationH4738 withinH8432 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478. |
| [25]For I the Lorde speake it, and whatsoeuer I shall speake, it shalbe perfourmed, and not be slacke in commyng any more, yea euen in your dayes O rebellious house, wyll I speake the thyng & bryng it to passe, saith the Lorde God |
[25]For I am the LORDH3068: I will speakH1696[H8762], and the wordH1697 that I shall speakH1696[H8762] shall come to passH6213[H8735]; it shall be no more prolongedH4900[H8735]: for in your daysH3117, O rebelliousH4805 houseH1004, will I sayH1696[H8762] the wordH1697, and will performH6213[H8804] it, saithH5002[H8803] the LordH136 GODH3069. |
| [26]And the worde of the Lorde came vnto me, saying |
[26]Again the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came to me, sayingH559,[H8800] |
| [27]Beholde thou sonne of man, the house of Israel saith [on this maner] The vision that he seeth, it wyll be many a day or it come to passe: it is farre of yet the tyme that he prophecieth of |
[27]SonH1121 of manH120, behold, they of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 sayH559[H8802], The visionH2377 that he seethH2372[H8802] is for manyH7227 daysH3117 to come, and he prophesiethH5012[H8738] of the timesH6256 that are far offH7350. |
| [28]Therfore say thus vnto them, thus saith the Lorde God, All my wordes shall no more be delayed, loke what I speake, that same shall come to passe, saith the Lorde God |
[28]Therefore sayH559[H8798] unto them, Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; There shall none of my wordsH1697 be prolongedH4900[H8735] any more, but the wordH1697 which I have spokenH1696[H8762] shall be doneH6213[H8735], saithH5002[H8803] the LordH136 GODH3069. |
