[2]Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyre, Thus saith the Lord God, Because thine heart is exalted, and thou hast said, I am a god, I sit in the seat of God in the midst of the sea, yet thou art but a man and not God, and though thou didst think in thine heart, that thou wast equal with God, |
| [3]Behold, thou art wiserH2450 than DanielH1840; there is no secretH5640[H8803] that they can hideH6004 from theeH8804: |
[3]Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel: there is no secret that they can hide from thee. |
| [4]With thy wisdomH2451 and with thine understandingH8394 thou hast gottenH6213[H8804] thee richesH2428, and hast gottenH6213[H8799] goldH2091 and silverH3701 into thy treasuresH214: |
[4]With thy wisdom and thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures. |
| [5]By thy greatH7230 wisdomH2451 and by thy traffickH7404 hast thou increasedH7235[H8689] thy richesH2428, and thine heartH3824 is lifted upH1361[H8799] because of thy richesH2428: |
[5]By thy great wisdom and by thine occupying hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches. |
| [6]Therefore thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; Because thou hast setH5414[H8800] thine heartH3820 as the heartH3824 of GodH430; |
[6]Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Because thou didst think in thine heart, that thou wast equal with God, |
| [7]Behold, therefore I will bringH935[H8688] strangersH2114[H8801] upon thee, the terribleH6184 of the nationsH1471: and they shall drawH7324[H8689] their swordsH2719 against the beautyH3308 of thy wisdomH2451, and they shall defileH2490[H8765] thy brightnessH3314. |
[7]Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, even the terrible nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness. |
| [8]They shall bring thee downH3381[H8686] to the pitH7845, and thou shalt dieH4191[H8804] the deathsH4463 of them that are slainH2491 in the midstH3820 of the seasH3220. |
[8]They shall cast thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the death of them, that are slain in the midst of the sea. |
| [9]Wilt thou yetH559[H8800] sayH559[H8799] beforeH6440 him that slayethH2026[H8802] thee, I am GodH430? but thou shalt be a manH120, and no GodH410, in the handH3027 of him that slayethH2490 theeH8764. |
[9]Wilt thou say then before him, that slayeth thee, I am a god? But thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hands of him that slayeth thee. |

[10]Thou shalt die the death of the uncircumcised by the hands of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God. |

[11]Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, |

[12]Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyre, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God, Thou sealest up the sum , and art full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. |
| [13]Thou hast been in EdenH5731 the gardenH1588 of GodH430; every preciousH3368 stoneH68 was thy coveringH4540, the sardiusH124, topazH6357, and the diamondH3095, the berylH8658, the onyxH7718, and the jasperH3471, the sapphireH5601, the emeraldH5306, and the carbuncleH1304, and goldH2091: the workmanshipH4399 of thy tabretsH8596 and of thy pipesH5345 was preparedH3559[H8797] in thee in the dayH3117 that thou wast createdH1254.[H8736] |
[13]Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God: every precious stone was in thy garment, the ruby, the topaz and the diamond, the chrysolite, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, emerald, and the carbuncle and gold: the workmanship of thy timbrels, and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. |
| [14]Thou art the anointedH4473 cherubH3742 that coverethH5526[H8802]; and I have setH5414[H8804] thee so: thou wast upon the holyH6944 mountainH2022 of GodH430; thou hast walked up and downH1980[H8694] in the midstH8432 of the stonesH68 of fireH784. |
[14]Thou art the anointed cherub, that covereth, and I have set thee in honor: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God: thou hast walked in the midst of the stones of fire. |
| [15]Thou wast perfectH8549 in thy waysH1870 from the dayH3117 that thou wast createdH1254[H8736], till iniquityH5766 was foundH4672 in theeH8738. |
[15]Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. |
| [16]By the multitudeH7230 of thy merchandiseH7404 they have filledH4390[H8804] the midstH8432 of thee with violenceH2555, and thou hast sinnedH2398[H8799]: therefore I will cast thee as profaneH2490[H8762] out of the mountainH2022 of GodH430: and I will destroyH6[H8762] thee, O coveringH5526[H8802] cherubH3742, from the midstH8432 of the stonesH68 of fireH784. |
[16]By the multitude of thy merchandise, they have filled the midst of thee with cruelty, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub from the midst of the stones of fire. |
| [17]Thine heartH3820 was lifted upH1361[H8804] because of thy beautyH3308, thou hast corruptedH7843[H8765] thy wisdomH2451 by reason ofH5921 thy brightnessH3314: I will castH7993[H8689] thee to the groundH776, I will layH5414[H8804] thee beforeH6440 kingsH4428, that they may beholdH7200 theeH8800. |
[17]Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, and thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground: I will lay thee before kings that they may behold thee. |
| [18]Thou hast defiledH2490[H8765] thy sanctuariesH4720 by the multitudeH7230 of thine iniquitiesH5771, by the iniquityH5766 of thy traffickH7404; therefore will I bring forthH3318[H8686] a fireH784 from the midstH8432 of thee, it shall devourH398[H8804] thee, and I will bringH5414[H8799] thee to ashesH665 upon the earthH776 in the sightH5869 of all them that beholdH7200 theeH8802. |
[18]Thou hast defiled thy sanctification by the multitude of thine iniquities, and by the iniquity of thy merchandise: therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, which shall devour thee: and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth, in the sight of all them that behold thee. |
| [19]All they that knowH3045[H8802] thee among the peopleH5971 shall be astonishedH8074[H8804] at thee: thou shalt be a terrorH1091, and neverH369 shalt thou be any moreH5704.[H5769] |
[19]All they that know thee among the people, shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be anymore. |

[20]Again, the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, |
| [21]SonH1121 of manH120, setH7760[H8798] thy faceH6440 against ZidonH6721, and prophesyH5012 against itH8734, |
[21]Son of man, set thy face against Zidon, and prophesy against it, |
| [22]And sayH559[H8804], Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; Behold, I am against thee, O ZidonH6721; and I will be glorifiedH3513[H8738] in the midstH8432 of thee: and they shall knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LORDH3068, when I shall have executedH6213[H8800] judgmentsH8201 in her, and shall be sanctifiedH6942 in herH8738. |
[22]And say, Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I come against thee, O Zidon, and I will be glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her. |
| [23]For I will sendH7971[H8765] into her pestilenceH1698, and bloodH1818 into her streetsH2351; and the woundedH2491 shall be judgedH5307[H8768] in the midstH8432 of her by the swordH2719 upon her on every sideH5439; and they shall knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LORDH3068. |
[23]For I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets, and the slain shall fall in the midst of her: the enemy shall come against her with the sword on every side, and they shall know that I am the Lord. |
| [24]And there shall be no more a prickingH3992[H8688] brierH5544 unto the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, nor any grievingH3510[H8688] thornH6975 of all that are round aboutH5439 them, that despisedH7590[H8801] them; and they shall knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LordH136 GODH3069. |
[24]And they shall be no more a pricking thorn unto the house of Israel, nor any grievous thorn of all that are round about them, and despised them, and they shall know that I am the Lord God. |
| [25]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; When I shall have gatheredH6908[H8763] the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 from the peopleH5971 among whom they are scatteredH6327[H8738], and shall be sanctifiedH6942[H8738] in them in the sightH5869 of the heathenH1471, then shall they dwellH3427[H8804] in their landH127 that I have givenH5414[H8804] to my servantH5650 JacobH3290. |
[25]Thus saith the Lord God, When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people where they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in the land, that I have given to my servant Jacob. |
| [26]And they shall dwellH3427[H8804] safelyH983 therein, and shall buildH1129[H8804] housesH1004, and plantH5193[H8804] vineyardsH3754; yea, they shall dwellH3427[H8804] with confidenceH983, when I have executedH6213[H8800] judgmentsH8201 upon all those that despiseH7590[H8801] them round aboutH5439 them; and they shall knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LORDH3068 their GodH430. |
[26]And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards: yea, they shall dwell safely, when I have executed judgments upon all round about them that despise them, and they shall know that I am the Lord their God. |
