| [1]MY brethren, if any one be found at fault, you who are spiritual, restore him in a spirit of meekness; and be careful test you also be tempted. |
[1]ἀδελφοί, ἐὰν καὶ προλημφθῇ ἄνθρωπος ἔν τινι παραπτώματι, ὑμεῖς οἱ πνευματικοὶ καταρτίζετε τὸν τοιοῦτον ἐν πνεύματι πραΰτητος, σκοπῶν σεαυτόν, μὴ καὶ σὺ πειρασθῇς. |
| [2]Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. |
[2]ἀλλήλων τὰ βάρη βαστάζετε, καὶ οὕτως ἀναπληρώσετε τὸν νόμον τοῦ χριστοῦ. |
| [3]For if man thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. |
[3]εἰ γὰρ δοκεῖ τις εἶναί τι μηδὲν ὤν, φρεναπατᾷ ἑαυτόν· |
| [4]But let every man examine his own work, and then may he glory within himself alone, and not among others. |
[4]τὸ δὲ ἔργον ἑαυτοῦ δοκιμαζέτω ἕκαστος, καὶ τότε εἰς ἑαυτὸν μόνον τὸ καύχημα ἕξει καὶ οὐκ εἰς τὸν ἕτερον· |
| [5]For every man shall bear his own burden. |
[5]ἕκαστος γὰρ τὸ ἴδιον φορτίον βαστάσει. |
| [6]Let him who is taught the word, become a partaker with him who teaches all good things. |
[6]κοινωνείτω δὲ ὁ κατηχούμενος τὸν λόγον τῶ κατηχοῦντι ἐν πᾶσιν ἀγαθοῖς. |
| [7]Do not be deceived; God is not deceived: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. |
[7]μὴ πλανᾶσθε, θεὸς οὐ μυκτηρίζεται· ὃ γὰρ ἐὰν σπείρῃ ἄνθρωπος, τοῦτο καὶ θερίσει· |
| [8]He who sows things of the flesh, from the flesh shall reap corruption; he who sows things of the Spirit, from the Spirit shall reap life everlasting. |
[8]ὅτι ὁ σπείρων εἰς τὴν σάρκα ἑαυτοῦ ἐκ τῆς σαρκὸς θερίσει φθοράν, ὁ δὲ σπείρων εἰς τὸ πνεῦμα ἐκ τοῦ πνεύματος θερίσει ζωὴν αἰώνιον. |
| [9]Let us not be weary in welldoing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. |
[9]τὸ δὲ καλὸν ποιοῦντες μὴ ἐγκακῶμεν, καιρῶ γὰρ ἰδίῳ θερίσομεν μὴ ἐκλυόμενοι. |
| [10]Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, especially to those who belong to the household of faith. |
[10]ἄρα οὗν ὡς καιρὸν ἔχομεν, ἐργαζώμεθα τὸ ἀγαθὸν πρὸς πάντας, μάλιστα δὲ πρὸς τοὺς οἰκείους τῆς πίστεως. |
| [11]You can see how long a letter I have written to you with my own hand. |
[11]ἴδετε πηλίκοις ὑμῖν γράμμασιν ἔγραψα τῇ ἐμῇ χειρί. |
| [12]Those who desire to boast in the things of the flesh, are the ones who compel you to be circumcised only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. |
[12]ὅσοι θέλουσιν εὐπροσωπῆσαι ἐν σαρκί, οὖτοι ἀναγκάζουσιν ὑμᾶς περιτέμνεσθαι, μόνον ἵνα τῶ σταυρῶ τοῦ χριστοῦ μὴ διώκωνται· |
| [13]For not even they who are circumcised obey the law; but they want you to be circumcised so that they may boast over your flesh. |
[13]οὐδὲ γὰρ οἱ περιτεμνόμενοι αὐτοὶ νόμον φυλάσσουσιν, ἀλλὰ θέλουσιν ὑμᾶς περιτέμνεσθαι ἵνα ἐν τῇ ὑμετέρᾳ σαρκὶ καυχήσωνται. |
| [14]But as for me, I have nothing on which to boast, except the cross of our LORD Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me and I am crucified unto the world. |
[14]ἐμοὶ δὲ μὴ γένοιτο καυχᾶσθαι εἰ μὴ ἐν τῶ σταυρῶ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν ἰησοῦ χριστοῦ, δι᾽ οὖ ἐμοὶ κόσμος ἐσταύρωται κἀγὼ κόσμῳ. |
| [15]For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision is anything, nor uncircumcision, but it is a new creation that counts. |
[15]οὔτε γὰρ περιτομή τί ἐστιν οὔτε ἀκροβυστία, ἀλλὰ καινὴ κτίσις. |
| [16]And upon those who follow this path be peace and mercy; and upon the Israel of God, be peace and mercy. |
[16]καὶ ὅσοι τῶ κανόνι τούτῳ στοιχήσουσιν, εἰρήνη ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς καὶ ἔλεος, καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν ἰσραὴλ τοῦ θεοῦ. |
| [17]From henceforth let no man trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of our LORD Jesus Christ. |
[17]τοῦ λοιποῦ κόπους μοι μηδεὶς παρεχέτω, ἐγὼ γὰρ τὰ στίγματα τοῦ ἰησοῦ ἐν τῶ σώματί μου βαστάζω. |
| [18]My brethren, the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. |
[18]ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν ἰησοῦ χριστοῦ μετὰ τοῦ πνεύματος ὑμῶν, ἀδελφοί· ἀμήν. |
