[No book] [1]Then Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer-sheba, and offered sacrifice unto the God of his father Isaac.
[No book] [2]And God spake unto Israel in a vision by night, saying, Jacob, Jacob. Who answered, I am here.
[No book] [3]Then he said, I am God, the God of thy father, fear not to go down into Egypt: for I will there make of thee a great nation.
[No book] [4]I will go down with thee into Egypt, and I will also bring thee up again, and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.
[No book] [5]Then Jacob rose up from Beer-sheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their children, and their wives in the chariots, which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
[No book] [6]And they took their cattle and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, both Jacob and all his seed with him,
[No book] [7]His sons and his son's sons with him, his daughters and his son's daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.
[No book] [8]And these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt, even Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn.

[No book] [10]And the sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar; and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.

[No book] [12]Also the sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perez, and Zerah: (but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan) And the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.
[No book] [13]Also the sons of Issachar: Tola, and Puah, and Job, and Shimron.
[No book] [14]Also the sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
[No book] [15]These be the sons of Leah, which she bear unto Jacob in Padan-aram, with his daughter Dinah. All the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.
[No book] [16]Also the sons of Gad: Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
[No book] [17]Also the sons of Asher: Imnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister. And the sons of Beriah: Heber, and Malchiel.
[No book] [18]These are the children of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter: and these she bear unto Jacob, even sixteen souls.
[No book] [19]The sons of Rachel Jacob's wife were Joseph and Benjamin.
[No book] [20]And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh, and Ephraim, which Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah prince of On bear unto him.
[No book] [21]Also the sons of Benjamin: Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
[No book] [22]These are the sons of Rachel, which were born unto Jacob, fourteen souls in all.
[No book] [23]Also the sons of Dan: Hushim.
[No book] [24]Also the sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
[No book] [25]These are the sons of Bilhah, which Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bear these to Jacob, in all, seven souls.
[No book] [26]All the souls, that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins (beside Jacob's sons' wives) were in the whole, threescore and six souls.
[No book] [27]Also the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: so that all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, are seventy.
[No book] [28]Then he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his way unto Goshen, and they came into the land of Goshen.
[No book] [29]Then Joseph made ready his chariot and went up to Goshen to meet Israel his father, and presented himself unto him, and fell on his neck, and wept upon his neck a good while.
[No book] [30]And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, and that thou art yet alive.
[No book] [31]Then Joseph said to his brethren, and to his father's house, I will go up and show Pharaoh, and tell him, My brethren and my father's house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me,
[No book] [32]And the men are shepherds, and because they are shepherds, they have brought their sheep and their cattle, and all that they have.
[No book] [33]And if Pharaoh call you, and ask you, What is your trade?
[No book] [34]Then ye shall say, Thy servants are men occupied about cattle, from our childhood even unto this time, both we and our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen: for every sheep keeper is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
