[1]ܘܲܗܘ̤ܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܵܬܲܪ ܦܸܬܼܓ݂ܵܡܹ̈ܐ ܗܵܠܹܝܢ: ܐܸܬܼܐܡܲܪ ܠܝܵܘܣܸܦ ܕܗܵܐ ܐܲܒ݂ܘܼܟ ܐܸܬܼܟܪܲܗ: ܘܲܕ݂ܒܲܪ ܠܲܬܼܪܹܝܢ ܒܢܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܥܲܡܹܗ: ܠܲܡܢܲܫܹܐ ܘܠܲܐܦܪܹܝܡ. |
[1]After these deedes, one tolde Ioseph: beholde, thy father is sicke. And he toke with hym his two sonnes, Manasses and Ephraim |
[2]ܘܚܵܘܝܼܘ ܠܝܲܥܩܘܿܒ݂ ܘܐܸܡܲܪ݂ܘ ܠܹܗ: ܗܵܐ ܒܪܵܟ݂ ܝܵܘܣܸܦ ܐܸܬܼܵܐ ܠܘܵܬܼܵܟ: ܘܐܸܬܼܚܲܝܲܠ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ ܘܝܼܬܸܒ݂ ܥܲܠ ܥܲܪܣܵܐ. |
[2]Then this message was declared vnto Iacob: beholde, thy sonne Ioseph cometh vnto thee. And Israel toke his strength vnto hym, and sate vpon the bedde |
[3]ܘܐܸܡܲܪ݂ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ ܠܝܵܘܣܸܦ: ܐܹܝܠܫܲܕܲܝ ܐܸܬܼܓܿܠܝܼ ܥܠܲܝ ܒܠܘܼܙ ܒܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܲܟ݂ܢܲܥܢ: ܘܒܲܪܟܲܢܝ. |
[3]And Iacob sayd vnto Ioseph: God almyghtie appeared vnto me at Luz in the lande of Chanaan, and blessed me, and sayde vnto me |
[4]ܘܐܸܡܲܪ݂ ܠܝܼ: ܗܵܐ ܡܒܲܪܸܟ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܠܵܟ݂ ܘܡܲܣܓܹܿܐ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܠܵܟ: ܘܐܸܬܸܿܠ ܠܵܟ݂ ܠܟܸܢܫܵܐ ܕܥܲܡܡܹ̈ܐ: ܘܐܸܬܸܿܠ ܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܗܵܕܹܐ ܠܙܲܪܥܵܟ݂ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܵܬܼܪܵܟ: ܝܵܪܬܿܘܼܬܼܵܐ ܠܥܵܠܲܡ. |
[4]Beholde, I wyll make thee fruiteful, and cause thee to multiplie, and wyll make a great number of people of thee, and wyll geue this lande vnto thy seede after thee vnto an euerlastyng possession |
[5]ܘܗܵܫܵܐ ܬܪܹܝܢ ܒܢܲܝܟ ܕܐܸܬܼܝܼܠܸܕ݂ܘ ܠܵܟ݂ ܒܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ: ܥܲܕ݂ܠܵܐ ܐܹܬܹܐ ܠܘܵܬܼܵܟ݂ ܠܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ: ܕܝܼܠܝ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܐܲܦܪܹܝܡ ܘܲܡܢܲܫܹܐ ܕܝܼܠܝ ܢܸܗܘܘܿܢ: ܐܲܝܟ ܪܘܼܒܹܝܠ ܘܐܲܝܟ ܫܸܡܥܘܿܢ ܢܸܗܘܘܿܢ ܠܝܼ. |
[5]And nowe thy two sonnes Manasses and Ephraim, whiche were borne vnto thee in the land of Egypt before I came vnto thee into Egypt, are myne, euen as Ruben and Simeon are mine |
[6]ܘܲܒ݂̈ܢܲܝܵܐ ܕܬܼܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܒܵܬܲܪܗܘܿܢ ܠܵܟ݂ ܢܸܗܘܘܿܢ: ܥܲܠ ܫܡܵܐ ܕܐܲܚܲܝܗܘܿܢ ܢܸܬܼܩܪܘܿܢ ܒܝܵܪܬܿܘܼܬܼܗܘܿܢ. |
[6]And the children which thou hast gotten after them, shalbe thyne owne, and shalbe called after the names of their brethren in their inheritaunce |
[7]ܘܐܸܢܵܐ ܟܲܕ݂ ܐܵܬܹܐ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܦܵܕܵܢ ܕܐܵܪܵܡ: ܡܝܼܬܲܬܼ ܥܠܲܝ ܪܵܚܹܝܠ ܒܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܲܟ݂ܢܲܥܢ ܒܐܘܼܪܚܵܐ: ܐܲܝܟ ܡܲܪܕܹܿܐ ܦܲܪܣܚܵܐ ܕܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܠܡܸܥܲܠ ܠܐܲܦܪܲܬܼ: ܘܲܩܒܲܪܬܵܗܿ ܬܲܡܵܢ ܒܐܘܼܪܚܵܐ ܕܐܵܦܪܲܬܼ: ܗܝܼ ܗ̄ܝܼ ܒܹܝܬܼ ܠܚܸܡ. |
[7]And when I came from Mesopotamia, Rachel dyed vpon my hande in the land of Chanaan, by the way, when there was but a fieldes breadth to come vnto Ephratha: and I buried her there in the waye to Ephratha, the same is Beth-lehem |
[8]ܘܲܚܙܵܐ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ ܠܲܒ݂ܢܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܝܵܘܣܸܦ ܘܐܸܡܲܪ݂ ܠܹܗ: ܡܿܢ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܗܵܠܹܝܢ. |
[8]And Israel beheld Iosephes sonnes, and sayde: What are these |
[9]ܘܐܸܡܲܪ݂ ܝܵܘܣܸܦ: ܠܐܲܒ݂ܘܼܗܝ: ܒ̈ܢܲܝ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܕܝܲܗ̄ܒ݂ ܠܝܼ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܗܵܪܟܵܐ: ܘܐܸܡܲܪ݂: ܩܲܪܸܒ݂ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܠܘܵܬܼܝ ܘܐܹܒܲܪܸܟ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ. |
[9]Ioseph sayde vnto his father: They are my sonnes whiche God hath geuen me here. And he sayde: Oh bring them to me, and let me blesse them |
[10]ܘܥܲܝܢܵܘܗܝ ܕܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ ܝܼܩܲܪ ܡ̣ܢ ܣܲܝܒܿܘܼܬܼܵܐ: ܘܠܵܐ ܡܸܫܟܲܚ ܗ̄ܘܵܐ ܕܢܸܚܙܸܐ ܫܲܦܝܼܪ: ܘܩܲܪܸܒ݂ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܠܘܵܬܹܗ: ܘܢܲܫܸܩ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܘܥܲܦܸܩ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ. |
[10](And the eyes of Israel were dymme for age, so that he coulde not [well] see) And he brought them to hym, and he kyssed them, and imbraced them |
[11]ܘܐܸܡܲܪ݂ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ ܠܝܵܘܣܸܦ: ܠܚܸܙܘܵܐ ܕܐܲܦܲܝܟ ܠܵܐ ܣܲܒܿܪܹܬܼ: ܘܗܵܐ ܚܵܘܝܲܢܝ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܐܵܦ ܙܲܪܥܵܟ. |
[11]And Israel sayde vnto Ioseph, I had not thought to haue seene thy face: and yet loe, God hath shewed me also thy seede |
[12]ܘܐܲܦܪܸܩ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܡ̣ܢ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܒܘܼܪܟܵܘܗܝ: ܘܲܣܓܸܕ݂ܘ ܩܕ݂ܵܡܵܘܗܝ ܥܲܠ ܐܲܦܲܝܗܘܿܢ ܥܲܠ ܐܲܪܥܵܐ. |
[12]And Ioseph toke them away fro his lappe, and he bowed hym selfe with his face towarde the earth |
[13]ܘܲܕ݂ܒܲܪ ܝܵܘܣܸܦ ܠܲܬܼܪܲܝܗܘܿܢ ܒܢܵܘ̈ܗܝ: ܠܐܲܦܪܹܝܡ ܒܝܲܡܝܼܢܹܗ ܡ̣ܢ ܣܸܡܵܠܹܗ ܕܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ: ܘܠܲܡܢܲܫܹܐ ܒܣܸܡܵܠܹܗ ܡ̣ܢ ܝܲܡܝܼܢܹܗ ܕܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ: ܘܩܲܪܸܒ݂ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܠܘܵܬܹܗ. |
[13]Then toke Ioseph them both, Ephraim with his ryght hande towarde Israels left hande, and Manasses with his left hande towarde Israels ryght hande, and brought them vnto hym |
[14]ܘܐܵܘܫܸܛ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ ܝܲܡܝܼܢܹܗ: ܘܣܵܡܵܗܿ ܥܲܠ ܪܹܫܹܗ ܕܐܲܦܪܹܝܡ ܗܘܼܝܘܼܝ ܙܥܘܿܪܵܐ: ܘܣܸܡܵܠܹܗ ܥܲܠ ܪܹܫܹܗ ܕܲܡܢܲܫܹܐ: ܫܲܚܠܸܦ ܐܸܢܹܝܢ ܐܝܼܕ݂ܵܘܗܝ: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܲܡܢܲܫܹܐ ܗ̄ܘܵܐ ܒܘܼܟ݂ܪܵܐ. |
[14]And Israel stretched out his ryght hande, and layed it vppon Ephraims head, which was the younger: and his left hande vpon Manasses head, guydyng his hande wyttyngly, for Manasses was the first borne |
[15]ܘܒܲܪܸܟ ܝܲܥܩܘܿܒ݂ ܠܝܵܘܣܸܦ ܒܪܹܗ ܘܐܸܡܲܪ݂: ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܕܲܫܦܲܪܘ ܩܕ݂ܵܡܵܘܗܝ ܐܲܒ݂ܵܗܲܝ ܐܲܒ݂ܪܵܗܵܡ ܘܐܝܼܣܚܵܩ: ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܕܬܲܪܣܹܝܢܝ ܡ̣ܢ ܛܲܠܝܘܼܬܼܝ ܘܲܥܕܲܡܵܐ ܠܝܵܘܡܵܢܵܐ. |
[15]And he blessed Ioseph, and sayde: God in whose syght my fathers Abraham & Isahac dyd walke, God which hath fedde me al my lyfe long vnto this day |
[16]ܡܲܠܲܐܟ݂ܵܐ ܕܦܲܪܩܲܢܝ ܡ̣ܢ ܟܠ ܒܝܼܫܵܐ: ܢܒܲܪܸܟ ܠܲܛܠܵܝܹ̈ܐ: ܘܢܸܬܼܩܪܸܐ ܫܹܡܝ ܒܗܘܿܢ: ܘܲܫܡܵܐ ܕܐܵܒ݂ܵܗܲܝ ܐܲܒ݂ܪܵܗܵܡ ܘܐܝܼܣܚܵܩ: ܘܢܸܟ݂ܒܿܪܘܼܢ ܘܢܸܣܓܿܘܿܢ ܒܓ݂ܵܘܵܗܿ ܕܐܲܪܥܵܐ. |
[16]And the angell which hath deliuered me from al euyl, blesse these laddes, and let my name be named in them, and the name of my fathers Abraham & Isahac, & that they may growe into a multitude in the middes of the earth |
[17]ܘܲܚܙܵܐ ܝܵܘܣܸܦ ܕܣܵܡ ܐܲܒ݂ܘܼܗܝ ܐܝܼܕܹܗ ܕܝܲܡܝܼܢܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܪܹܫܹܗ ܕܐܲܦܪܹܝܡ: ܘܐܸܬܼܒܿܐܸܫ ܒܥܲܝܢܵܘܗܝ: ܘܣܵܡܹܟ ܠܵܗ ܠܐܝܼܕܹܗ ܕܐܲܒ݂ܘܼܗܝ ܠܡܲܥܒܵܪܘܼܬܼܵܗ ܡ̣ܢ ܪܹܫܹܗ ܕܐܲܦܪܹܝܡ: ܘܲܢܣܝܼܡܹܝܗܿ ܥܲܠ ܪܹܫܹܗ ܕܲܡܢܲܫܹܐ. |
[17]When Ioseph sawe that his father layed his ryght hande vpon the head of Ephraim, it displeased hym: and he lift vp his fathers hande, to haue remoued it from Ephraims head vnto Manasses head |
[18]ܘܐܸܡܲܪ݂ ܝܵܘܣܸܦ ܠܐܲܒ݂ܘܼܗܝ: ܠܵܐ ܗ̄ܘܵܐ ܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܐܲܒ݂ܝ: ܐܸܠܵܐ ܗܵܢܵܘ ܒܘܼܟ݂ܪܵܐ: ܣܝܼܡ ܝܲܡܝܼܢܵܟ݂ ܥܲܠ ܪܹܫܹܗ. |
[18]And Ioseph sayde vnto his father, Not so my father, for this is the first borne: put thy right hande vpon his head |
[19]ܘܠܵܐ ܨܒ݂ܵܐ ܐܲܒ݂ܘܼܗܝ: ܘܐܸܡܲܪ݂: ܝܵܕܲܥ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܒܹܪܝ ܝܵܕܲܥ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ: ܐܵܦ ܗܘܼ ܢܸܗܘܸܐ ܠܥܲܡܵܐ: ܘܐܵܦ ܗܘܼ ܢܹܐܪܲܒ݂: ܒܪܲܡ ܐܲܚܘܼܗܝ ܙܥܘܿܪܵܐ ܢܹܐܪܲܒ݂ ܡܸܢܹܗ: ܘܙܲܪܥܹܗ ܢܸܗܘܸܐ ܡܠܸܐ ܥܲܡܡܹ̈ܐ. |
[19]And his father would not, but sayde: I knowe it well my sonne, I knowe it well, he shalbe also a people, and shalbe great: But his younger brother shalbe greater then he, and his seede shall become a great people |
[20]ܘܒܲܪܸܟ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܘ̇ ܘܐܸܡܲܪ݂: ܒܵܟ݂ ܢܸܬܼܒܲܪܲܟ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ: ܘܢܹܐܡܪܘܼܢ: ܢܸܥܒܿܕ݂ܵܟ݂ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܐܲܝܟ ܐܲܦܪܹܝܡ ܘܐܲܝܟ ܡܢܲܫܹܐ: ܘܲܥܒܲܕ݂ ܠܐܲܦܪܹܝܡ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܡܢܲܫܹܐ. |
[20]And he blessed them that day, & saide: In thee let Israel blesse & saye, God make thee as Ephraim, & as Manasses. And he set Ephraim before Manasses |
[21]ܘܐܸܡܲܪ݂ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ ܠܝܵܘܣܸܦ: ܗܵܐ ܐܸܢܵܐ ܡܵܐܹܬܼ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ: ܘܢܸܗܘܸܐ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܥܲܡܟ݂ܘܿܢ: ܘܢܲܗܦܸܟ݂ܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܠܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܐܲܒ݂ܵܗܲܝܟܿܘܿܢ. |
[21]And Israel said vnto Ioseph: behold I dye, & God shalbe with you, & bryng you againe vnto ye land of your fathers |
[22]ܘܐܸܢܵܐ ܗܵܐ ܝܸܗ̄ܒܹܿܬܼ ܠܵܟ݂ ܡܢܵܬܼܵܐ ܚܕ݂ܵܐ ܝܲܬܿܝܼܪܬܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܐܲܚܲܝ̈ܟ: ܕܢܸܣܒܹܿܬܼ ܒܐܝܼܕ݂ܵܐ ܕܐܵܡܘܿܪ̈ܵܝܹܐ ܒܣܲܝܦܝ ܘܲܒ݂ܩܸܫܬܿܝ. |
[22]Moreouer, I haue geuen vnto thee a portion of lande aboue thy brethren, which I gat out of the hand of the Amorite in my sworde, and in my bowe |
