The King James Version (w/Strong's)
KJV+
[1]When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they have dealt falsely: and the thief cometh in, and the robber spoileth without. [1]When I would have healedH7495[H8800] IsraelH3478, then the iniquityH5771 of EphraimH669 was discoveredH1540[H8738], and the wickednessH7451 of SamariaH8111: for they commitH6466[H8804] falsehoodH8267; and the thiefH1590 cometh inH935[H8799], and the troopH1416 of robbers spoilethH6584[H8804] withoutH2351.
[2]And they consider not in their hearts, that I remember all their wickedness: now their own inventions have beset them about: they are in my sight. [2]And they considerH559[H8799] not in their heartsH3824 that I rememberH2142[H8804] all their wickednessH7451: now their own doingsH4611 have beset them aboutH5437[H8804]; they are before my faceH6440.
[3]They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies. [3]They make the kingH4428 gladH8055[H8762] with their wickednessH7451, and the princesH8269 with their liesH3585.
[4]They are all adulterers, and as a very oven heated by the baker, which ceaseth from raising up, and from kneading the dough until it be leavened. [4]They are all adulterersH5003[H8764], as an ovenH8574 heatedH1197[H8802] by the bakerH644[H8802], who ceasethH7673[H8799] from raisingH5782[H8800] after he hath kneadedH3888[H8800] the doughH1217, until it be leavenedH2556.[H8800]
[5]This is the day of our king: the princes have made him sick with flagons of wine: he stretcheth out his hand to scorners. [5]In the dayH3117 of our kingH4428 the princesH8269 have made him sickH2470[H8689] with bottlesH2534 of wineH3196; he stretched outH4900[H8804] his handH3027 with scornersH3945.[H8802]
[6]For they have made ready their heart like an oven whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night: in the morning it burneth as a flame of fire. [6]For they have made readyH7126[H8765] their heartH3820 like an ovenH8574, whiles they lie in waitH693[H8800]: their bakerH644[H8802] sleepethH3463 all the nightH3915; in the morningH1242 it burnethH1197[H8802] as a flamingH3852 fireH784.
[7]They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges: all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me. [7]They are all hotH2552[H8735] as an ovenH8574, and have devouredH398[H8804] their judgesH8199[H8802]; all their kingsH4428 are fallenH5307[H8804]: there is none among them that callethH7121 unto meH8802.
[8]Ephraim hath mixed himself among the people. Ephraim is as a cake on the hearth not turned. [8]EphraimH669, he hath mixedH1101[H8704] himself among the peopleH5971; EphraimH669 is a cakeH5692 not turnedH2015.[H8803]
[9]Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not. [9]StrangersH2114[H8801] have devouredH398[H8804] his strengthH3581, and he knowethH3045[H8804] it not: yea, gray hairsH7872 are here and thereH2236[H8804] upon him, yet he knowethH3045 notH8804.
[10]And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face, and they do not return to the Lord their God, nor seek him for all this. [10]And the prideH1347 of IsraelH3478 testifiethH6030[H8804] to his faceH6440: and they do not returnH7725[H8804] to the LORDH3068 their GodH430, nor seekH1245 him for all thisH8765.
[11]Ephraim also is like a dove deceived, without heart: they call to Egypt: they go to Assyria. [11]EphraimH669 also is like a sillyH6601[H8802] doveH3123 without heartH3820: they callH7121[H8804] to EgyptH4714, they goH1980[H8804] to AssyriaH804.
[12]But when they shall go, I will spread my net upon them, and draw them down as the fowls of the heaven: I will chastise them as their congregation hath heard. [12]When they shall goH3212[H8799], I will spreadH6566[H8799] my netH7568 upon them; I will bring them downH3381[H8686] as the fowlsH5775 of the heavenH8064; I will chastiseH3256[H8686] them, as their congregationH5712 hath heardH8088.
[13]Woe unto them: for they have fled away from me: destruction shall be unto them, because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me. [13]WoeH188 unto them! for they have fledH5074[H8804] from me: destructionH7701 unto them! because they have transgressedH6586[H8804] against me: though I have redeemedH6299[H8799] them, yet they have spokenH1696[H8765] lies against meH3577.
[14]And they have not cried unto me with their hearts, when they howled upon their beds: they assembled themselves for corn, and wine, and they rebel against me. [14]And they have not criedH2199[H8804] unto me with their heartH3820, when they howledH3213[H8686] upon their bedsH4904: they assembleH1481[H8709] themselves for cornH1715 and wineH8492, and they rebelH5493 against meH8799.
[15]Though I have bound and strengthened their arm, yet do they imagine mischief against me. [15]Though I have boundH3256[H8765] and strengthenedH2388[H8765] their armsH2220, yet do they imagineH2803[H8762] mischief against meH7451.
[16]They return, but not to the Most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword, for the rage of their tongues: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt. [16]They returnH7725[H8799], but not to the most HighH5920: they are like a deceitfulH7423 bowH7198: their princesH8269 shall fallH5307[H8799] by the swordH2719 for the rageH2195 of their tongueH3956: thisH2097 shall be their derisionH3933 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714.
