| [1]קִרְב֤וּ גֹויִם֙ לִשְׁמֹ֔עַ וּלְאֻמִּ֖ים הַקְשִׁ֑יבוּ תִּשְׁמַ֤ע הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ וּמְלֹאָ֔הּ תֵּבֵ֖ל וְכָל־צֶאֱצָאֶֽיהָ׃ |
[1]Come nearH7126[H8798], ye nationsH1471, to hearH8085[H8800]; and hearkenH7181[H8685], ye peopleH3816: let the earthH776 hearH8085[H8799], and all that is thereinH4393; the worldH8398, and all things that come forth of itH6631. |
| [2]כִּ֣י קֶ֤צֶף לַֽיהוָה֙ עַל־כָּל־הַגֹּויִ֔ם וְחֵמָ֖ה עַל־כָּל־צְבָאָ֑ם הֶחֱרִימָ֖ם נְתָנָ֥ם לַטָּֽבַח׃ |
[2]For the indignationH7110 of the LORDH3068 is upon all nationsH1471, and his furyH2534 upon all their armiesH6635: he hath utterly destroyedH2763[H8689] them, he hath deliveredH5414[H8804] them to the slaughterH2874. |
| [3]וְחַלְלֵיהֶ֣ם יֻשְׁלָ֔כוּ וּפִגְרֵיהֶ֖ם יַעֲלֶ֣ה בָאְשָׁ֑ם וְנָמַ֥סּוּ הָרִ֖ים מִדָּמָֽם׃ |
[3]Their slainH2491 also shall be cast outH7993[H8714], and their stinkH889 shall come upH5927[H8799] out of their carcasesH6297, and the mountainsH2022 shall be meltedH4549[H8738] with their bloodH1818. |
| [4]וְנָמַ֙קּוּ֙ כָּל־צְבָ֣א הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְנָגֹ֥לּוּ כַסֵּ֖פֶר הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וְכָל־צְבָאָ֣ם יִבֹּ֔ול כִּנְבֹ֤ל עָלֶה֙ מִגֶּ֔פֶן וּכְנֹבֶ֖לֶת מִתְּאֵנָֽה׃ |
[4]And all the hostH6635 of heavenH8064 shall be dissolvedH4743[H8738], and the heavensH8064 shall be rolled togetherH1556[H8738] as a scrollH5612: and all their hostH6635 shall fall downH5034[H8799], as the leafH5929 falleth offH5034[H8800] from the vineH1612, and as a fallingH5034[H8802] fig from the fig treeH8384. |
| [5]כִּֽי־רִוְּתָ֥ה בַשָּׁמַ֖יִם חַרְבִּ֑י הִנֵּה֙ עַל־אֱדֹ֣ום תֵּרֵ֔ד וְעַל־עַ֥ם חֶרְמִ֖י לְמִשְׁפָּֽט׃ |
[5]For my swordH2719 shall be bathedH7301[H8765] in heavenH8064: behold, it shall come downH3381[H8799] upon IdumeaH123, and upon the peopleH5971 of my curseH2764, to judgmentH4941. |
| [6]חֶ֣רֶב לַיהוָ֞ה מָלְאָ֥ה דָם֙ הֻדַּ֣שְׁנָה מֵחֵ֔לֶב מִדַּ֤ם כָּרִים֙ וְעַתּוּדִ֔ים מֵחֵ֖לֶב כִּלְיֹ֣ות אֵילִ֑ים כִּ֣י זֶ֤בַח לַֽיהוָה֙ בְּבָצְרָ֔ה וְטֶ֥בַח גָּדֹ֖ול בְּאֶ֥רֶץ אֱדֹֽום׃ |
[6]The swordH2719 of the LORDH3068 is filledH4390[H8804] with bloodH1818, it is made fatH1878[H8719] with fatnessH2459, and with the bloodH1818 of lambsH3733 and goatsH6260, with the fatH2459 of the kidneysH3629 of ramsH352: for the LORDH3068 hath a sacrificeH2077 in BozrahH1224, and a greatH1419 slaughterH2874 in the landH776 of IdumeaH123. |
| [7]וְיָרְד֤וּ רְאֵמִים֙ עִמָּ֔ם וּפָרִ֖ים עִם־אַבִּירִ֑ים וְרִוְּתָ֤ה אַרְצָם֙ מִדָּ֔ם וַעֲפָרָ֖ם מֵחֵ֥לֶב יְדֻשָּֽׁן׃ |
[7]And the unicornsH7214 shall come downH3381[H8804] with them, and the bullocksH6499 with the bullsH47; and their landH776 shall be soakedH7301[H8765] with bloodH1818, and their dustH6083 made fatH1878[H8792] with fatnessH2459. |
| [8]כִּ֛י יֹ֥ום נָקָ֖ם לַֽיהוָ֑ה שְׁנַ֥ת שִׁלּוּמִ֖ים לְרִ֥יב צִיֹּֽון׃ |
[8]For it is the dayH3117 of the LORD'SH3068 vengeanceH5359, and the yearH8141 of recompencesH7966 for the controversyH7379 of ZionH6726. |
| [9]וְנֶהֶפְכ֤וּ נְחָלֶ֙יהָ֙ לְזֶ֔פֶת וַעֲפָרָ֖הּ לְגָפְרִ֑ית וְהָיְתָ֣ה אַרְצָ֔הּ לְזֶ֖פֶת בֹּעֵרָֽה׃ |
[9]And the streamsH5158 thereof shall be turnedH2015[H8738] into pitchH2203, and the dustH6083 thereof into brimstoneH1614, and the landH776 thereof shall become burningH1197[H8802] pitchH2203. |
| [10]לַ֤יְלָה וְיֹומָם֙ לֹ֣א תִכְבֶּ֔ה לְעֹולָ֖ם יַעֲלֶ֣ה עֲשָׁנָ֑הּ מִדֹּ֤ור לָדֹור֙ תֶּחֱרָ֔ב לְנֵ֣צַח נְצָחִ֔ים אֵ֥ין עֹבֵ֖ר בָּֽהּ׃ |
[10]It shall not be quenchedH3518[H8799] nightH3915 nor dayH3119; the smokeH6227 thereof shall go upH5927[H8799] for everH5769: from generationH1755 to generationH1755 it shall lie wasteH2717[H8799]; none shall pass throughH5674[H8802] it for everH5331 and everH5331. |
| [11]וִירֵשׁ֙וּהָ֙ קָאַ֣ת וְקִפֹּ֔וד וְיַנְשֹׁ֥וף וְעֹרֵ֖ב יִשְׁכְּנוּ־בָ֑הּ וְנָטָ֥ה עָלֶ֛יהָ קַֽו־תֹ֖הוּ וְאַבְנֵי־בֹֽהוּ׃ |
[11]But the cormorantH6893 and the bitternH7090 shall possessH3423[H8804] it; the owlH3244 also and the ravenH6158 shall dwellH7931[H8799] in it: and he shall stretch outH5186[H8804] upon it the lineH6957 of confusionH8414, and the stonesH68 of emptinessH922. |
| [12]חֹרֶ֥יהָ וְאֵֽין־שָׁ֖ם מְלוּכָ֣ה יִקְרָ֑אוּ וְכָל־שָׂרֶ֖יהָ יִ֥הְיוּ אָֽפֶס׃ |
[12]They shall callH7121[H8799] the noblesH2715 thereof to the kingdomH4410, but none shall be there, and all her princesH8269 shall be nothingH657. |
| [13]וְעָלְתָ֤ה אַרְמְנֹתֶ֙יהָ֙ סִירִ֔ים קִמֹּ֥ושׂ וָחֹ֖וחַ בְּמִבְצָרֶ֑יהָ וְהָיְתָה֙ נְוֵ֣ה תַנִּ֔ים חָצִ֖יר לִבְנֹ֥ות יַעֲנָֽה׃ |
[13]And thornsH5518 shall come upH5927[H8804] in her palacesH759, nettlesH7057 and bramblesH2336 in the fortressesH4013 thereof: and it shall be an habitationH5116 of dragonsH8577, and a courtH2681 for owlsH1323.[H3284] |
| [14]וּפָגְשׁ֤וּ צִיִּים֙ אֶת־אִיִּ֔ים וְשָׂעִ֖יר עַל־רֵעֵ֣הוּ יִקְרָ֑א אַךְ־שָׁם֙ הִרְגִּ֣יעָה לִּילִ֔ית וּמָצְאָ֥ה לָ֖הּ מָנֹֽוחַ׃ |
[14]The wild beasts of the desertH6728 shall also meetH6298[H8804] with the wild beasts of the islandH338, and the satyrH8163 shall cryH7121[H8799] to his fellowH7453; the screech owlH3917 also shall restH7280[H8689] there, and findH4672[H8804] for herself a place of restH4494. |
| [15]שָׁ֣מָּה קִנְּנָ֤ה קִפֹּוז֙ וַתְּמַלֵּ֔ט וּבָקְעָ֖ה וְדָגְרָ֣ה בְצִלָּ֑הּ אַךְ־שָׁ֛ם נִקְבְּצ֥וּ דַיֹּ֖ות אִשָּׁ֥ה רְעוּתָֽהּ׃ |
[15]There shall the great owlH7091 make her nestH7077[H8765], and layH4422[H8762], and hatchH1234[H8804], and gatherH1716[H8804] under her shadowH6738: there shall the vulturesH1772 also be gatheredH6908[H8738], every oneH802 with her mateH7468. |
| [16]דִּרְשׁ֨וּ מֵֽעַל־סֵ֤פֶר יְהוָה֙ וּֽקְרָ֔אוּ אַחַ֤ת מֵהֵ֙נָּה֙ לֹ֣א נֶעְדָּ֔רָה אִשָּׁ֥ה רְעוּתָ֖הּ לֹ֣א פָקָ֑דוּ כִּֽי־פִי֙ ה֣וּא צִוָּ֔ה וְרוּחֹ֖ו ה֥וּא קִבְּצָֽן׃ |
[16]Seek ye outH1875[H8798] of the bookH5612 of the LORDH3068, and readH7121[H8798]: no oneH259 of theseH2007 shall failH5737[H8738], noneH802 shall wantH6485[H8804] her mateH7468: for my mouthH6310 it hath commandedH6680[H8765], and his spiritH7307 it hath gatheredH6908 themH8765. |
| [17]וְהֽוּא־הִפִּ֤יל לָהֶן֙ גֹּורָ֔ל וְיָדֹ֛ו חִלְּקַ֥תָּה לָהֶ֖ם בַּקָּ֑ו עַד־עֹולָם֙ יִֽירָשׁ֔וּהָ לְדֹ֥ור וָדֹ֖ור יִשְׁכְּנוּ־בָֽהּ׃ |
[17]And he hath castH5307[H8689] the lotH1486 for them, and his handH3027 hath dividedH2505[H8765] it unto them by lineH6957: they shall possessH3423[H8799] it forH5704 everH5769, from generationH1755 to generationH1755 shall they dwellH7931 thereinH8799. |
