[5]καίC ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3PRA-NPM παῖςN3D-NPMRA-GSM βασιλεύςN3V-GSM πρόςP *ησαιαςN--ASM [5]So the servants of King Hezekiah came to Isaiah.
[6]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DPM *ησαιαςN--NSM οὕτωςD εἶπονVF2-FAI2P πρόςPRA-ASM κύριοςN2-ASM σύRP-GP ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM μήD φοβέωVC-APS2S ἀπόPRA-GPM λόγοςN2-GPM ὅςRR-GPM ἀκούωV1-AAI2S ὅςRR-APM ὀνειδίζωVAI-AAI3P ἐγώRP-ASRA-NPM πρέσβυςN3I-NPM βασιλεύςN3V-GSM *ἀσσύριοςN2-GPM [6]And Isaiah said to them, Thus shall you say to your master: Thus says the LORD: Be not afraid of the words that you have heard, wherewith the messengers of the king of Assyria have blasphemed in my presence.
[7]ἰδούI ἐγώRP-NS ἐνβάλλωVF2-FAI1S εἰςP αὐτόςRD-ASM πνεῦμαN3M-ASN καίC ἀκούωVA-AAPNSM ἀγγελίαN1A-ASF ἀποστρέφωVD-FPI3S εἰςPRA-ASF χώραN1A-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC πίπτωVF-FMI3S μάχαιραN1A-DSF ἐνPRA-DSF γῆN1-DSF αὐτόςRD-GSM [7]Behold, I will send a blast against him, and he shall hear a rumor and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land
[8]καίC ἀποστρέφωVAI-AAI3S *ραψακηςN1M-NSM καίC καταλαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S πολιορκέωV2-PAPASMRA-ASM βασιλεύςN3V-ASM *λομναN--ASM καίC ἀκούωVAI-AAI3S βασιλεύςN3V-NSM *ἀσσύριοςN2-GPM ὅτιC [8]So the Rab-shakeh returned and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah; for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.
[9]ἐκἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S *θαρακαN--NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM *αἰθίοψN3P-GPM πολιορκέωVA-AAN αὐτόςRD-ASM καίC ἀκούωVA-AAPNSM ἀποστρέφωVAI-AAI3S καίC ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S ἄγγελοςN2-APM πρόςP *εζεκιαςN1T-ASM λέγωV1-PAPNSM [9]And he heard say concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, He has come forth to fight with you. And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,
[10]οὕτωςD εἶπονVF2-FAI2P *εζεκιαςN1T-DSM βασιλεύςN3V-DSMRA-GSF *ἰουδαίαN1A-GSF μήD σύRP-AS ἀπατάωV3-PAD3SRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS ἐπίP ὅςRR-DSM πείθωVX-XAPNSM εἰμίV9-PAI2S ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-DSM λέγωV1-PAPNSM οὐD μήD παραδίδωμιVC-APS3S *ἰερουσαλήμN--ASF εἰςP χείρN3-APF βασιλεύςN3V-GSM *ἀσσύριοςN2-GPM [10]Thus shall you speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Do not let your God, in whom you trust, deceive you, saying, Jerusalem will not be delivered into the hands of the king of Assyria.
[11]C οὐD ἀκούωVAI-AAI2S ὅςRR-APN ποιέωVAI-AAI3P βασιλεύςN3V-NPM *ἀσσύριοςN2-GPM πᾶςA1S-ASFRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF ὡςD ἀποὀλλύωVAI-AAI3P [11]Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by destroying them utterly; and shall you be delivered?
[12]μήD ῥύομαιVAI-AMI3P αὐτόςRD-APMRA-NPM θεόςN2-NPMRA-GPN ἔθνοςN3E-GPN ὅςRR-APMRA-NPM πατήρN3-NPM ἐγώRP-GS ἀποὀλλύωVAI-AAI3PRA-ASF τεX *γωζαN1-ASF καίC *χαρρανN--ASF καίC *ραφεςN--AS ὅςRR-NPF εἰμίV9-PAI3P ἐνP χώραN1A-DSF *θεμαδN--S [12]Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed, even Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, the inhabitants of Eden, and them of Bedlassar?
[13]ποῦD εἰμίV9-PAI3PRA-NPM βασιλεύςN3V-NPM *αιμαθN--GS καίC *αρφαθN--GS καίC πόλιςN3I-GSF *σεπφαριμN--GS *αναγN--GS *ουγαυαN--GS [13]Where is the king of Hamath and the king of Arphad and the king of the city of Sepharvim and of Dena and of Aka?
[14]καίC λαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S *εζεκιαςN1T-NSMRA-ASN βιβλίονN2N-ASN παράPRA-GPM ἄγγελοςN2-GPM καίC ἀναοἴγωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASN ἐναντίονP κύριοςN2-GSM [14]And Hezekiah received the letters from the hand of the messengers and read them; and Hezekiah went up to the house of the LORD and spread them before the LORD.
[15]καίC προςεὔχομαιVA-AMI3S *εζεκιαςN1T-NSM πρόςP κύριοςN2-ASM λέγωV1-PAPNSM [15]And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, saying,
[16]κύριοςN2-VSM σαβαωθN--GRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM *ἰσραήλN--GSMRA-NSM καταἧμαιV5-PMPNSM ἐπίPRA-GPM χερουβινN--GPN σύRP-NS θεόςN2-NSM μόνοςA1-NSM εἰμίV9-PAI2S πᾶςA1S-GSF βασιλείαN1A-GSFRA-GSF οἰκέωV2-PMPGSF σύRP-NS ποιέωVAI-AAI2SRA-ASM οὐρανόςN2-ASM καίCRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF [16]O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, who sittest above the cherubim, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.
[17]εἰςἀκούωVA-AAD2S κύριοςN2-VSM εἰςβλέπωVA-AAD2S κύριοςN2-VSM καίC ὁράωVB-AAD2SRA-APM λόγοςN2-APM ὅςRR-APM ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S *σενναχηριμN--NSM ὀνειδίζωV1-PAN θεόςN2-ASM ζάωV3-PAPASM [17]Incline thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open thine eyes, O LORD, and see; and hear the words of Sennacherib, which he hath sent to reproach the living God.
[18]ἐπίP ἀλήθειαN1A-GSF γάρX ἐρημόωVAI-AAI3P βασιλεύςN3V-NPM *ἀσσύριοςN2-GPMRA-ASF οἰκέωV2-PMPASF ὅλοςA1-ASF καίCRA-ASF χώραN1A-ASF αὐτόςRD-GPM [18]Of a truth, O LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations and their lands;
[19]καίC ἐνβάλλωVBI-AAI3PRA-APN εἴδωλονN2N-APN αὐτόςRD-GPM εἰςPRA-ASN πῦρN3-ASN οὐD γάρX θεόςN2-NPM εἰμίV9-IAI3P ἀλλάC ἔργονN2N-NPN χείρN3-GPF ἄνθρωποςN2-GPM ξύλονN2N-NPN καίC λίθοςN2-NPM καίC ἀποὀλλύωVAI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-APN [19]And have burned their lands and their gods with fire; for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, of wood, of silver, and of stone; therefore they have destroyed them.
[20]σύRP-NS δέX κύριοςN2-VSMRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ἐγώRP-GP σώζωVA-AAD2S ἐγώRP-AP ἐκP χείρN3-GSF αὐτόςRD-GPM ἵναC γιγνώσκωVZ-AAS3S πᾶςA1S-NSF βασιλείαN1A-NSFRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF ὅτιC σύRP-NS εἰμίV9-PAI2SRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM μόνοςA1-NSM [20]Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hands, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the God, even thou only
[21]καίC ἀποστέλλωVDI-API3S *ησαιαςN1T-NSM υἱόςN2-NSM *αμωςN--GSM πρόςP *εζεκιαςN1T-ASM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSMRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM ἀκούωVAI-AAI1S ὅςRR-APN προςεὔχομαιVAI-AMI2S πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS περίP *σενναχηριμN--GSM βασιλεύςN3V-GSM *ἀσσύριοςN2-GPM [21]Then Isaiah, the prophet, the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: All that you have prayed before me concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria have I heard;
[22]οὗτοςRD-NSMRA-NSM λόγοςN2-NSM ὅςRR-ASM λαλέωVAI-AAI3S περίP αὐτόςRD-GSMRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM φαυλίζωVAI-AAI3S σύRP-AS καίC μυκτηρίζωVAI-AAI3S σύRP-AS παρθένοςN2-NSF θυγάτηρN3-NSF *σιωνN--GSF ἐπίP σύRP-DS κεφαλήN1-ASF κινέωVAI-AAI3S θυγάτηρN3-NSF *ἰερουσαλήμN--GSF [22]This is the word which the LORD has spoken concerning him: The virgin, the daughter of Zion, has despised you and laughs you to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem wags her head at you.
[23]τίςRI-ASM ὀνειδίζωVAI-AAI2S καίC παραὀξύνωVAI-AAI2SC πρόςP τίςRI-ASM ὑψόωVA-AAI2SRA-ASF φωνήN1-ASF σύRP-GS καίC οὐD αἴρωVAI-AAI2S εἰςP ὕψοςN3E-ASNRA-APM ὀφθαλμόςN2-APM σύRP-GS εἰςPRA-ASM ἅγιοςA1A-ASMRA-GSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM [23]Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? And against whom have you raised your voice and lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel!
[24]ὅτιC διάP ἄγγελοςN2-GPM ὀνειδίζωVAI-AAI2S κύριοςN2-ASM σύRP-NS γάρX εἶπονVAI-AAI2SRA-DSN πλῆθοςN3E-DSNRA-GPN ἅρμαN3M-GPN ἐγώRP-NS ἀναβαίνωVZI-AAI1S εἰςP ὕψοςN3E-ASN ὄροςN3E-GPN καίC εἰςPRA-APN ἔσχατοςA1-APNRA-GSM *λίβανοςN2-GSM καίC κόπτωVAI-AAI1SRA-ASN ὕψοςN3E-ASNRA-GSF κέδροςN2-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίCRA-ASN κάλλοςN3E-ASNRA-GSF κυπάρισσοςN2-GSF καίC εἰςἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3P εἰςP ὕψοςN3E-ASN μέροςN3E-GSNRA-GSM δρυμόςN2-GSM [24]By the hand of your messengers you have reproached the LORD, and you have said, By the multitude of my chariots I am come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof; and I will enter into the height of its border, to the forest of Carmel.
[25]καίC τίθημιVAI-AAI1S γέφυραN1A-ASF καίC ἐρημόωVAI-AAI1S ὕδωρN3T-ASN καίC πᾶςA1S-ASF συναγωγήN1-ASF ὕδωρN3T-GSN [25]I will dig, and drink water; and with the hoofs of my horses will I dry up all the great rivers.
[26]οὐD οὗτοςRD-APN ἀκούωVAI-AAI2S πάλαιD ὅςRR-APN ἐγώRP-NS ποιέωVAI-AAI1S ἐκP ἀρχαῖοςA1A-GPM ἡμέραN1A-GPF συντάσσωVAI-AAI1S νῦνD δέX ἐπιδεικνύωVAI-AAI1S ἐκἐρημόωVA-AAN ἔθνοςN3E-APN ἐνP ὀχυρόςA1A-DPM καίC ἐνοἰκέωV2-PAPAPM ἐνP πόλιςN3I-DPF ὀχυρόςA1A-DPF [26]Have you not heard long ago, how I have done it; and of the days of old, that I have prepared it? Now I have brought it to pass, that you should be laid waste and desolate as when fortified cities are in ruin,
[27]ἀναἵημιVAI-AAI1SRA-APF χείρN3-APF καίC ξηραίνωVCI-API3P καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3P ὡςD χόρτοςN3-GSM ξηρόςA1A-NSM ἐπίP δῶμαN3M-GPN καίC ὡςD ἄγρωστιςN3I-NSF [27]Whose inhabitants were weak, and were defeated and confounded, and became like the grass of the field and the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, as tender blades of wheat blasted before it is grown up.
[28]νῦνD δέXRA-ASF ἀνάπαυσιςN3I-ASF σύRP-GS καίCRA-ASF ἔξοδοςN2-ASF σύRP-GS καίCRA-ASF εἴσοδοςN2-ASF σύRP-GS ἐγώRP-NS ἐπίσταμαιV6-PMI1S [28]I know your conduct and your going out and your coming in and your daring threat in my presence.
[29]RA-NSM δέX θυμόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS ὅςRR-ASM θυμόωVCI-API2S καίCRA-NSF πικρίαN1A-NSF σύRP-GS ἀναβαίνωVZI-AAI3S πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS καίC ἐνβάλλωVF2-FAI1S φιμόςN2-ASM εἰςPRA-ASF ῥίςN3-ASF σύRP-GS καίC χαλινόςN2-ASM εἰςPRA-APN χεῖλοςN3E-APN σύRP-GS καίC ἀποστρέφωVF-FAI1S σύRP-ASRA-DSF ὁδόςN2-DSF ὅςRR-DSF ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI2S ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DSF [29]Because you have dared in my presence and your blasphemous words have come up into my ears, therefore I will put a hook in your nose and a bit between your lips, and I will cause you to return by the way by which you came.
[30]οὗτοςRD-ASN δέX σύRP-DSRA-ASN σημεῖονN2N-ASN ἐσθίωVB-AAD2S οὗτοςRD-ASMRA-ASM ἐνιαυτόςN2-ASM ὅςRR-APN σπείρωVX-XAI2SRA-DSM δέX ἐνιαυτόςN2-DSMRA-DSM δεύτεροςA1A-DSMRA-ASN καταλείμμαN3M-ASNRA-DSM δέX τρίτοςA1-DSM σπείρωVA-AAPNPM ἀμάωVA-AAD2P καίC φυτεύωVA-AAD2P ἀμπελώνN3W-APM καίC ἐσθίωVF-FMI2PRA-ASM καρπόςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GPM [30]And this shall be a sign for you: You shall eat this year such as grows of itself; and the second year that which springs of the same; and in the third year you shall sow and reap and plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
[31]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3PRA-NPM καταλείπωVP-XMPNPM ἐνPRA-DSF *ἰουδαίαN1A-DSF φύωVF-FAI3P ῥίζαN1S-ASF κάτωD καίC ποιέωVF-FAI3P σπέρμαN3M-ASN ἄνωD [31]And the remnant that survives of the house of Judah shall again return, and shall again take root downward and bear fruit upward;
[32]ὅτιC ἐκP *ἰερουσαλήμN--GSF ἐκἔρχομαιVF-FMI3PRA-NPM καταλείπωVP-XMPNPM καίCRA-NPM σώζωV1-PMPNPM ἐκP ὄροςN3E-GSN *σιωνN--GSFRA-NSM ζῆλοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM σαβαωθN--G ποιέωVF-FAI3S οὗτοςRD-APN [32]For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion; the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.
[33]διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN οὕτωςD λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ἐπίP βασιλεύςN3V-ASM *ἀσσύριοςN2-GPM οὐD μήD εἰςἔρχομαιVB-AAS3S εἰςPRA-ASF πόλιςN3I-ASF οὗτοςRD-ASF οὐδέC μήD βάλλωVB-AAS3S ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-ASF βέλοςN3E-ASN οὐδέC μήD ἐπιβάλλωVB-AAS3S ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-ASF θυρεόςN2-ASM οὐδέC μήD κυκλόωVA-AAS3S ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-ASF χάραξN3K-ASM [33]Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the king of Assyria: He shall not enter this city nor shoot an arrow there nor come before it with shields nor cast siege-works against it.
[34]ἀλλάCRA-DSF ὁδόςN2-DSF ὅςRR-DSF ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DSF ἀποστρέφωVD-FPI3S ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM [34]But by the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and he shall not enter this city, says the LORD.
[35]ὑπερἀσπίζωVF-FAI1S ὑπέρPRA-GSF πόλιςN3I-GSF οὗτοςRD-GSFRA-GSN σώζωVA-AAN αὐτόςRD-ASF διάP ἐγώRP-AS καίC διάP *δαυίδN--ASMRA-ASM παῖςN3D-ASM ἐγώRP-GS [35]For I will defend this city and save it for my own sake and for my servant David's sake.
[36]καίC ἐκἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S ἄγγελοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM καίC ἀνααἱρέωVBI-AAI3S ἐκPRA-GSF παρεμβολήN1-GSFRA-GPM *ἀσσύριοςN2-GPM ἑκατόνM ὀγδοηκονταM πέντεM χιλιάςN3D-APF καίC ἐκ ἀναἵστημιVH-AAPNPMRA-ASN πρωίD εὑρίσκωVB-AAI3P πᾶςA3-APNRA-APN σῶμαN3M-APN νεκρόςA1A-APN [36]Then the angel of the LORD went forth and smote in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand: and when the soldiers arose early in the morning, behold, their comrades were all dead.
