|
[1]ComfortH5162[H8761] ye, comfortH5162[H8761] ye my peopleH5971, saithH559[H8799] your GodH430. |
[2]SpeakH1696[H8761] ye comfortablyH3820 to JerusalemH3389, and cryH7121[H8798] unto her, that her warfareH6635 is accomplishedH4390[H8804], that her iniquityH5771 is pardonedH7521[H8738]: for she hath receivedH3947[H8804] of the LORD'SH3068 handH3027 doubleH3718 for all her sinsH2403. |
[3]The voiceH6963 of him that criethH7121[H8802] in the wildernessH4057, PrepareH6437[H8761] ye the wayH1870 of the LORDH3068, make straightH3474[H8761] in the desertH6160 a highwayH4546 for our GodH430. |
[4]Every valleyH1516 shall be exaltedH5375[H8735], and every mountainH2022 and hillH1389 shall be made lowH8213[H8799]: and the crookedH6121 shall be made straightH4334, and the rough placesH7406 plainH1237: |
[5]And the gloryH3519 of the LORDH3068 shall be revealedH1540[H8738], and all fleshH1320 shall seeH7200[H8804] it togetherH3162: for the mouthH6310 of the LORDH3068 hath spokenH1696 itH8765. |
[6]The voiceH6963 saidH559[H8802], CryH7121[H8798]. And he saidH559[H8804], What shall I cryH7121[H8799]? All fleshH1320 is grassH2682, and all the goodlinessH2617 thereof is as the flowerH6731 of the fieldH7704: |
[7]The grassH2682 witherethH3001[H8804], the flowerH6731 fadethH5034[H8804]: because the spiritH7307 of the LORDH3068 blowethH5380[H8804] upon it: surelyH403 the peopleH5971 is grassH2682. |
[8]The grassH2682 witherethH3001[H8804], the flowerH6731 fadethH5034[H8804]: but the wordH1697 of our GodH430 shall standH6965[H8799] for everH5769. |
[9]O ZionH6726, that bringest good tidingsH1319[H8764], get thee upH5927[H8798] into the highH1364 mountainH2022; O JerusalemH3389, that bringest good tidingsH1319[H8764], lift upH7311[H8685] thy voiceH6963 with strengthH3581; lift it upH7311[H8685], be not afraidH3372[H8799]; sayH559[H8798] unto the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, Behold your GodH430! |
[10]Behold, the LordH136 GODH3069 will comeH935[H8799] with strongH2389 hand, and his armH2220 shall ruleH4910[H8802] for him: behold, his rewardH7939 is with him, and his workH6468 before himH6440. |
[11]He shall feedH7462[H8799] his flockH5739 like a shepherdH7462[H8802]: he shall gatherH6908[H8762] the lambsH2922 with his armH2220, and carryH5375[H8799] them in his bosomH2436, and shall gently leadH5095[H8762] those that are with youngH5763.[H8802] |
[12]Who hath measuredH4058[H8804] the watersH4325 in the hollow of his handH8168, and meted outH8505[H8765] heavenH8064 with the spanH2239, and comprehendedH3557[H8804] the dustH6083 of the earthH776 in a measureH7991, and weighedH8254[H8804] the mountainsH2022 in scalesH6425, and the hillsH1389 in a balanceH3976? |
[13]Who hath directedH8505[H8765] the SpiritH7307 of the LORDH3068, or being his counsellorH376[H6098] hath taughtH3045 himH8686? |
[14]With whom took he counselH3289[H8738], and who instructedH995[H8799] him, and taughtH3925[H8762] him in the pathH734 of judgmentH4941, and taughtH3925[H8762] him knowledgeH1847, and shewedH3045[H8686] to him the wayH1870 of understandingH8394? |
[15]Behold, the nationsH1471 are as a dropH4752 of a bucketH1805, and are countedH2803[H8738] as the small dustH7834 of the balanceH3976: behold, he taketh upH5190[H8799] the islesH339 as a very little thingH1851. |
[16]And LebanonH3844 is notH369 sufficientH1767 to burnH1197[H8763], nor the beastsH2416 thereof sufficientH1767 for a burnt offeringH5930. |
[17]All nationsH1471 before him are as nothing; and they are countedH2803[H8738] to him less than nothingH657, and vanityH8414. |
[18]To whom then will ye likenH1819[H8762] GodH410? or what likenessH1823 will ye compareH6186 unto himH8799? |
[19]The workmanH2796 meltethH5258[H8804] a graven imageH6459, and the goldsmithH6884[H8802] spreadethH7554[H8762] it over with goldH2091, and castethH6884[H8802] silverH3701 chainsH7577. |
[20]He that is so impoverishedH5533[H8794][H8676][H5534][H8765] that he hath no oblationH8641 choosethH977[H8799] a treeH6086 that will not rotH7537[H8799]; he seekethH1245[H8762] unto him a cunningH2450 workmanH2796 to prepareH3559[H8687] a graven imageH6459, that shall not be movedH4131.[H8735] |
[21]Have ye not knownH3045[H8799]? have ye not heardH8085[H8799]? hath it not been toldH5046[H8717] you from the beginningH7218? have ye not understoodH995[H8689] from the foundationsH4146 of the earthH776? |
[22]It is he that sittethH3427[H8802] upon the circleH2329 of the earthH776, and the inhabitantsH3427[H8802] thereof are as grasshoppersH2284; that stretcheth outH5186[H8802] the heavensH8064 as a curtainH1852, and spreadeth them outH4969[H8799] as a tentH168 to dwell inH3427:[H8800] |
[23]That bringethH5414[H8802] the princesH7336[H8802] to nothing; he makethH6213[H8804] the judgesH8199[H8802] of the earthH776 as vanityH8414. |
[24]Yea, they shall not be plantedH5193[H8738]; yea, they shall not be sownH2232[H8795]: yea, their stockH1503 shall not take rootH8327[H8782] in the earthH776: and he shall also blowH5398[H8804] upon them, and they shall witherH3001[H8799], and the whirlwindH5591 shall takeH5375[H8799] them away as stubbleH7179. |
[25]To whom then will ye likenH1819[H8762] me, or shall I be equalH7737[H8799]? saithH559[H8799] the Holy OneH6918. |
[26]Lift upH5375[H8798] your eyesH5869 on highH4791, and beholdH7200[H8798] who hath createdH1254[H8804] these things, that bringeth outH3318[H8688] their hostH6635 by numberH4557: he callethH7121[H8799] them all by namesH8034 by the greatnessH7230 of his mightH202, for that he is strongH533 in powerH3581; not oneH376 failethH5737.[H8738] |
[27]Why sayestH559[H8799] thou, O JacobH3290, and speakestH1696[H8762], O IsraelH3478, My wayH1870 is hidH5641[H8738] from the LORDH3068, and my judgmentH4941 is passed overH5674[H8799] from my GodH430? |
[28]Hast thou not knownH3045[H8804]? hast thou not heardH8085[H8804], that the everlastingH5769 GodH430, the LORDH3068, the CreatorH1254[H8802] of the endsH7098 of the earthH776, faintethH3286[H8799] not, neither is wearyH3021[H8799]? there is no searchingH2714 of his understandingH8394. |
[29]He givethH5414[H8802] powerH3581 to the faintH3287; and to them that have no mightH202 he increasethH7235[H8686] strengthH6109. |
[30]Even the youthsH5288 shall faintH3286[H8799] and be wearyH3021[H8799], and the young menH970 shall utterlyH3782[H8800] fallH3782:[H8735] |
[31]But they that waitH6960[H8802] upon the LORDH3068 shall renewH2498[H8686] their strengthH3581; they shall mount upH5927[H8799] with wingsH83 as eaglesH5404; they shall runH7323[H8799], and not be wearyH3021[H8799]; and they shall walkH3212[H8799], and not faintH3286.[H8799] |
