[1]Yaqob the servant of Alaha and of our Lord Ieshu The Messiah to twelve the tribes which are scattered among the nations peace |
[1]James a servant of God, and of the Lord JESUS CHRIST, to the twelve Tribes, which are scattered abroad, salutation. |
[2]Every joy let there be to you my brethren when you will enter temptations various and many |
[2]My brethren, count it exceeding joy, when ye fall into diverse temptations, |
[3]Know you for that the trial of faith imparts to you patience |
[3]Knowing that the trying of your faith bringeth forth patience, |
[4]Itself but patience shall be for it a work complete that you would be perfected and complete and anything not you would be lacking |
[4]And let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, lacking nothing. |
[5]If anyone but of you is lacking of wisdom let him ask from Alaha Who gives to all simply and not reproaches and it will be given to him |
[5]If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, which giveth to all men liberally, and reproacheth no man, and it shall be given him. |
[6]Let him ask but in faith while not wavering he for who wavers is like the waves of the sea which troubles them the wind |
[6]But let him ask in faith, and waver not: for he that wavereth, is like a wave of the sea, tossed of the wind, and carried away. |
[7]And not let think that son of man to receive anything from the Lord |
[7]Neither let that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. |
[8]Who ever wavers in his mind and is troubled in all his ways |
[8]A wavering minded man is unstable in all his ways. |
[9]Let boast but the brother poor in his exaltation |
[9]Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: |
[10]And the rich man in his humiliation because that as a blossom of the grass in this way passes away |
[10]Again he that is rich, in that he is made low: for as the flower of the grass, shall he vanish away. |
[11]Rises for the sun in its heat and shrivels it the grass and the blossom falls and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed in this way also the rich man fades in his ways |
[11]For as when the sun riseth with heat, then the grass withereth, and his flower falleth away, and the beauty of the fashion of it perisheth: even so shall the rich man fade away in all his ways. |
[12]His blessing to the man who endures temptation for when he is tested he will receive a crown of life which promised Alaha to those who love Him |
[12]Blessed is the man, that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. |
[13]Not should say a man when he is tempted "from Alaha am tempted I Alaha for not is acquainted with evil and he man not tempts |
[13]Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man. |
[14]But each man from his desire is tempted and he lusts and he is seduced |
[14]But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own concupiscence, and is enticed. |
[15]And this desire becomes pregnant and gives birth to sin sin but when it has developed gives birth to death |
[15]Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin, and sin when it is finished, bringeth forth death. |
[16]Not do be led astray my brothers beloved |
[16]Err not, my dear brethren. |
[17]Every gift good and perfect from above descends from The Father of light Him is not with Whom change any neither a shadow of variation |
[17]Every good giving, and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadowing by turning. |
[18]He was willing and He gave birth to us by the word of the truth that we would be the first fruits of His creation |
[18]Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be as the first fruits of his creatures. |
[19]And you my brethren beloved every person of you shall be quick to hear and slow to speak and slow to be angry |
[19]Wherefore my dear brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath. |
[20]The rage for of man the righteousness of Alaha not performs |
[20]For the wrath of man doth not accomplish the righteousness of God. |
[21]Because of this put away from you all abomination and the multitude of evils and in humility accept the word which is planted in our nature which is able to save these your souls |
[21]Wherefore lay apart all filthiness, and superfluity of maliciousness, and receive with meekness the word that is grafted in you, which is able to save your souls. |
[22]Be but a doer of the word and not a hearer only and not deceive yourselves |
[22]And be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. |
[23]If a man for shall be a hearer of the word and not its doer this one is like him who sees his face in a mirror |
[23]For if any hear the word, and do it not, he is like unto a man, that beholdeth his natural face in a glass. |
[24]Sees for himself and passes by and forgets how he was |
[24]For when he hath considered himself, he goeth his way, and forgetteth immediately what manner of one he was. |
[25]Everyone but who gazes into The Law perfect of liberty and continues in it not is a hearer who heard what is forgotten but a doer of the works and this one blessed shall be in his work |
[25]But who so looketh in the perfect Law of liberty, and continueth therein, he not being a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, shall be blessed in his deed. |
[26]And if a man thinks that he serves to Alaha and not holds his tongue but deceives it the heart of this one worthless is his service |
[26]If any man among you seemeth religious, and restraineth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. |
[27]Ministry for pure and holy before Alaha The Father this is to visit orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep a man his soul from the world without defilement |
[27]Pure religion and undefiled before God, even the Father, is this, to visit the fatherless, and widows in their adversity, and to keep himself unspotted of the world. |
