| [1]αδελφοι μου μη εν προσωποληψιαις εχετε την πιστιν του κυριου ημων ιησου χριστου της δοξης |
[1]My brothers not with acceptance of faces be holding the faith of the glory of our Lord Ieshu The Messiah |
| [2]εαν γαρ εισελθη εις την συναγωγην υμων ανηρ χρυσοδακτυλιος εν εσθητι λαμπρα εισελθη δε και πτωχος εν ρυπαρα εσθητι |
[2]If for will enter your assembly a man a ring of gold or his clothing is fine and will enter a poor man in clothing dirty |
| [3]και επιβλεψητε επι τον φορουντα την εσθητα την λαμπραν και ειπητε αυτω συ καθου ωδε καλως και τω πτωχω ειπητε συ στηθι εκει η καθου ωδε υπο το υποποδιον μου |
[3]And you have regard for him wearing clothing fine and you say to him you here sit well and to the poor you say to him you stand there or sit you here before the stool of our feet |
| [4]και ου διεκριθητε εν εαυτοις και εγενεσθε κριται διαλογισμων πονηρων |
[4]Not? behold are you divided to you in your souls and you have become expositors of reasonings wicked |
| [5]ακουσατε αδελφοι μου αγαπητοι ουχ ο θεος εξελεξατο τους πτωχους του κοσμου τουτου πλουσιους εν πιστει και κληρονομους της βασιλειας ης επηγγειλατο τοις αγαπωσιν αυτον |
[5]Hear my brothers beloved not? has it been the poor of the world rich however in faith has chosen Alaha that they will be the heirs in kingdom that which promised Alaha to those who love Him |
| [6]υμεις δε ητιμασατε τον πτωχον ουχ οι πλουσιοι καταδυναστευουσιν υμων και αυτοι ελκουσιν υμας εις κριτηρια |
[6]You but you have despised the poor not? behold the rich have dominion over you and they drag you to the place of judgment |
| [7]ουκ αυτοι βλασφημουσιν το καλον ονομα το επικληθεν εφ υμας |
[7]Not behold those slander against The Name Good which is called upon you |
| [8]ει μεντοι νομον τελειτε βασιλικον κατα την γραφην αγαπησεις τον πλησιον σου ως σεαυτον καλως ποιειτε |
[8]And if The Written Law of Alaha in this you fulfill as it is written "you shall love your neighbor as yourself well are doing you |
| [9]ει δε προσωποληπτειτε αμαρτιαν εργαζεσθε ελεγχομενοι υπο του νομου ως παραβαται |
[9]If but faces accept you sin are doing you and are reproved you from The Written Law as violators against The Written Law |
| [10]οστις γαρ ολον τον νομον τηρησει πταισει δε εν ενι γεγονεν παντων ενοχος |
[10]Whoever for all The Written Law keeps and in one thing he slips by the entire Written Law he is condemned |
| [11]ο γαρ ειπων μη μοιχευσης ειπεν και μη φονευσης ει δε ου μοιχευσεις φονευσεις δε γεγονας παραβατης νομου |
[11]He for Who said "not you shall commit adultery He said "not you shall murder if but not are committing adultery you but have murdered you it is to you a violation against The Written Law |
| [12]ουτως λαλειτε και ουτως ποιειτε ως δια νομου ελευθεριας μελλοντες κρινεσθαι |
[12]So be you speaking and so be you acting as a person who by The Written Law of liberty are going you to be judged |
| [13]η γαρ κρισις ανιλεως τω μη ποιησαντι ελεος και κατακαυχαται ελεος κρισεως |
[13]The judgment for is without mercy against him who not practices mercy have dominion you with mercy over judgment |
| [14]τι το οφελος αδελφοι μου εαν πιστιν λεγη τις εχειν εργα δε μη εχη μη δυναται η πιστις σωσαι αυτον |
[14]What? good is it my brothers if a man says there is to me faith and deeds there are not to him interrog. is able his faith to give him life |
| [15]εαν δε αδελφος η αδελφη γυμνοι υπαρχωσιν και λειπομενοι ωσιν της εφημερου τροφης |
[15]And if a brother or a sister shall be naked and lacking food of the day |
| [16]ειπη δε τις αυτοις εξ υμων υπαγετε εν ειρηνη θερμαινεσθε και χορταζεσθε μη δωτε δε αυτοις τα επιτηδεια του σωματος τι το οφελος |
[16]And will say to them any of you go in peace be warm be full and not you would give to them the necessities of the body what? good is it |
| [17]ουτως και η πιστις εαν μη εργα εχη νεκρα εστιν καθ εαυτην |
[17]So also faith without works dead is by itself |
| [18]αλλ ερει τις συ πιστιν εχεις καγω εργα εχω δειξον μοι την πιστιν σου {VAR1: εκ } {VAR2: χωρις } των εργων σου καγω δειξω σοι εκ των εργων μου την πιστιν μου |
[18]Says for a man to you is to you faith and to me is to me works show me your faith without works and I showing am to you my faith from my deeds |
| [19]συ πιστευεις οτι ο θεος εις εστιν καλως ποιεις και τα δαιμονια πιστευουσιν και φρισσουσιν |
[19]Believe you that One is Alaha well do you also the demons are believing and trembling |
| [20]θελεις δε γνωναι ω ανθρωπε κενε οτι η πιστις χωρις των εργων νεκρα εστιν |
[20]Willing are you? but to know Oh man feeble that faith without works dead is |
| [21]αβρααμ ο πατηρ ημων ουκ εξ εργων εδικαιωθη ανενεγκας ισαακ τον υιον αυτου επι το θυσιαστηριον |
[21]Our Father Abraham not? was from works justified when brought up Isaaq his son upon the altar |
| [22]βλεπεις οτι η πιστις συνηργει τοις εργοις αυτου και εκ των εργων η πιστις ετελειωθη |
[22]See? you that his faith upheld his deeds and from deeds his faith was perfected |
| [23]και επληρωθη η γραφη η λεγουσα επιστευσεν δε αβρααμ τω θεω και ελογισθη αυτω εις δικαιοσυνην και φιλος θεου εκληθη |
[23]And was fulfilled the scripture that said "believed Abraham in Alaha and it was accounted to him for righteousness and the friend of Alaha he was called |
| [24]ορατε τοινυν οτι εξ εργων δικαιουται ανθρωπος και ουκ εκ πιστεως μονον |
[24]See you that from works is justified a son of man and not it is from faith only |
| [25]ομοιως δε και ρααβ η πορνη ουκ εξ εργων εδικαιωθη υποδεξαμενη τους αγγελους και ετερα οδω εκβαλουσα |
[25]In this way also Rahab the harlot not? was it from works she was made righteous when she received the scouts and by a way another she sent them |
| [26]ωσπερ γαρ το σωμα χωρις πνευματος νεκρον εστιν ουτως και η πιστις χωρις των εργων νεκρα εστιν |
[26]Just as a body without the spirit dead is so also faith without works dead is |
