[1]But within a while after, euen in the time of wheat haruest, Sason visited his wife with a kyd, saying: I wil go in to my wyfe into the chaumber. But her father woulde not suffer him to go in |

[2]And her father sayde, I thought that thou haddest hated her, & therfore gaue I her to thy companion: Is not her younger sister fayrer then she? Take her I pray thee, in steade of the other |

[3]Samson sayde vnto hym: Nowe am I more blamelesse then the Philistines, and therfore will I do them displeasure |
| [4]καίC πορεύομαιVCI-API3S *σαμψωνN--NSM καίC συνλαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S τριακόσιοιA1A-APF ἀλώπηξN3K-APF καίC λαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S λαμπάςN3D-APF καίC ἐπιστρέφωVAI-AAI3S κέρκοςN2-ASF πρόςP κέρκοςN2-ASF καίC τίθημιVAI-AAI3S λαμπάςN3D-ASF εἷςA1A-ASF ἀνάP μέσοςA1-ASM ὁRA-GPM δύοM κέρκοςN2-GPF καίC δέωVAI-AAI3S |
[4]And Samson went out, and caught three hundred foxes, & toke firebrandes, and turned them tayle to tayle, and put a firebrand in the middes betweene two tayles |
| [5]καίC ἐκκαίωVAI-AAI3S πῦρN3-ASN ἐνP ὁRA-DPF λαμπάςN3D-DPF καίC ἐκ ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S ἐνP ὁRA-DPM στάχυςN3U-DPM ὁRA-GPM ἀλλόφυλοςA1B-GPM καίC καίωVAI-AAI3P ἀπόP ἅλωνN3W-GSF καίC ἕωςP στάχυςN3U-GPM ὀρθόςA1-GPM καίC ἕωςP ἀμπελώνN3W-GSM καίC ἐλαίαN1A-GSF |
[5]And when he had set the brandes on fire, he sent them out into the standyng corne of the Philistines, & burnt vp both the reaped corne, and also the standing, with the vineyardes and oliues |
| [6]καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-NPM ἀλλόφυλοςA1B-NPM τίςRI-NSM ποιέωVAI-AAI3S οὗτοςRD-APN καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI3P *σαμψωνN--NSM ὁRA-NSM νυμφίοςN2-NSM ὁRA-GSM *θαμνιN--GSM ὅτιC λαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASF γυνήN3K-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC δίδωμιVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASF ὁRA-DSM ἐκP ὁRA-GPM φίλοςA1-GPM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ἀναβαίνωVZI-AAI3P ὁRA-NPM ἀλλόφυλοςA1B-NPM καίC ἐνπίμπρημιVAI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-ASF καίC ὁRA-ASM πατήρN3-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSF ἐνP πῦρN3-DSN |
[6]Then the Philistines sayd: Who hath done this? And they aunswered: Samson the sonne in lawe of the Thamnite, because he had taken his wife, & geuen her to his companion. And the Philistines came vp, and burnt her and her father with fire |
| [7]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DPM *σαμψωνN--NSM ἐάνC ποιέωVA-AAS2P οὕτωςD οὗτοςRD-ASF ὅτιC εἰX μήνX ἐκδικέωVF-FAI1S ἐνP σύRP-DP καίC ἔσχατοςA1-ASM κοπάζωVF-FAI1S |
[7]And Samson said vnto them: Though ye haue done this, yet will I be auenged of you, and then I will ceasse |
| [8]καίC πατάσσωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-APM κνήμηN1-ASF ἐπίP μηρόςN2-ASM πληγήN1-ASF μέγαςA1-ASF καίC καταβαίνωVZI-AAI3S καίC καταἵζωVAI-AAI3S ἐνP τρυμαλιάN1A-DSF ὁRA-GSF πέτραN1A-GSF *ηταμN--GS |
[8]And he smote them legge and thygh with a myghtie plague, and then he went & dwelt in the toppe of the rocke Etam |
| [9]καίC ἀναβαίνωVZI-AAI3P ὁRA-NPM ἀλλόφυλοςA1B-NPM καίC παρα ἐνβάλλωVBI-AAI3P ἐνP *ιουδαN--DSM καίC ἐκῥίπτωVAI-AAI3P ἐνP *λευιN--DSM |
[9]Then the Philistines came vp, and pytched in Iuda, and camped in Lehi |
| [10]καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI3P ἀνήρN3-NSM *ιουδαN--GSM εἰςP τίςRI-ASN ἀναβαίνωVZI-AAI2P ἐπίP ἐγώRP-AP καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3P ὁRA-NPM ἀλλόφυλοςA1B-NPM δέωVA-AAN ὁRA-ASM *σαμψωνN--ASM ἀναβαίνωVZI-AAI1P καίC ποιέωVA-AAN αὐτόςRD-DSM ὅςRR-ASM τρόποςN2-ASM ποιέωVAI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-DP |
[10]And the men of Iuda sayde: Why are ye come vp vnto vs? They aunswered: To bynde Samson are we come vp, & to do to hym, as he hath done to vs |
| [11]καίC καταβαίνωVZI-AAI3P τρισχίλιοιA1A-NPM ἀνήρN3-NPM ἀπόP *ιουδαN--GSM εἰςP τρυμαλιάN1A-ASF πέτραN1A-GSF *ηταμN--GS καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-DSM *σαμψωνN--DSM οὐD οἶδαVX-XAI2S ὅτιC κυριεύωV1-PAI3P ὁRA-NPM ἀλλόφυλοςA1B-NPM ἐγώRP-GP καίC τίςRI-ASN οὗτοςRD-ASN ποιέωVAI-AAI2S ἐγώRP-DP καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DPM *σαμψωνN--NSM ὅςRR-ASM τρόποςN2-ASM ποιέωVAI-AAI3P ἐγώRP-DS οὕτωςD ποιέωVAI-AAI1S αὐτόςRD-DPM |
[11]Then three thonsande men of Iuda went to the toppe of the rocke Etam, & sayde to Samson: Wottest thou not that the Philistines are rulers ouer vs? Wherfore then hast thou done thus vnto vs? He aunswered them: As they dyd vnto me, so haue I done vnto them |
| [12]καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-DSM δέωVA-AAN σύRP-AS καταβαίνωVZI-AAI1P ὁRA-GSN δίδωμιVO-AAN σύRP-AS ἐνP χείρN3-DSF ἀλλόφυλοςA1B-GPM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DPM *σαμψωνN--NSM ὄμνυμιVA-AAI2P ἐγώRP-DS μήποτεD συνἀντάωVA-AAS2P ἐνP ἐγώRP-DS σύRP-NP |
[12]And they sayd vnto him agayne: We are come to bynde thee, and to deliuer thee into ye hande of the Philistines. And Samson said vnto them: Sweare vnto me, that ye shall not fal vpon me your selues |
| [13]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-DSM λέγωV1-PAPNPM οὐD ὅτιC ἀλλάC ἤC δεσμόςN2-DSM δέωVF-FAI1P σύRP-AS καίC παραδίδωμιVF-FAI1P σύRP-AS ἐνP χείρN3-DSF αὐτόςRD-GPM καίC θάνατοςN2-DSM οὐD θανατόωVF-FAI1P σύRP-AS καίC δέωVAI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐνP δύοM--DPN καλώδιονN2N-DPN καινόςA1-DPN καίC ἀναφέρωVAI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-ASM ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF πέτραN1A-GSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-GSF |
[13]They aunswered him, saying: No, but we will bynde thee, & delyuer thee vnto their handes: but we wyll not kyll thee. And they bounde hym with two new cordes, and brought him from the rocke |
| [14]καίC ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3P ἕωςP σιαγώνN3N-GSF καίC ὁRA-NPM ἀλλόφυλοςA1B-NPM ἀλαλάζωVAI-AAI3P καίC τρέχωVBI-AAI3P εἰςP συνάντησιςN3I-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ἅλλομαιVAI-AMI3S ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-ASM πνεῦμαN3M-NSN κύριοςN2-GSM καίC γίγνομαιVCI-API3S ὁRA-NPN καλώδιονN2N-NPN ὁRA-NPN ἐπίP βραχίωνN3N-DPM αὐτόςRD-GSM ὡσείD στιππύονN2N-NSN ὅςRR-ASN ἐκκαίωVCI-API3S ἐνP πῦρN3-DSN καίC τήκωVAI-AAI3P δεσμόςN2-NPM αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀπόP χείρN3-GPF αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[14]And when he came to Lehi, the Philistines showted agaynst him: And the spirite of the Lord came vpon him, and the cordes that were vpon his armes, became as flaxe that was burnt with fire, for the bandes loosed from of his handes |
| [15]καίC εὑρίσκωVB-AAI3S σιαγώνN3N-ASF ὄνοςN2-GSM ἐκῥίπτωVXI-XMPASF καίC ἐκτείνωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASF χείρN3-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC λαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASF καίC πατάσσωVAI-AAI3S ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DSF χίλιοιA1A-APM ἀνήρN3-APM |
[15]And he founde a newe iawe bone of an Asse, & put foorth his hande, and caught it, and slue a thousande men therwith |
| [16]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *σαμψωνN--NSM ἐνP σιαγώνN3N-DSF ὄνοςN2-GSM ἐκἀλείφωV1-PAPNSM ἐκἀλείφωVAI-AAI1S αὐτόςRD-APM ὅτιC ἐνP ὁRA-DSF σιαγώνN3N-DSF ὁRA-GSM ὄνοςN2-GSM πατάσσωVAI-AAI1S χίλιοιA1A-APM ἀνήρN3-APM |
[16]And Samson sayde: With the iawe of an Asse, heapes vpon heapes: with the iawe of an Asse haue I slayne a thousande men |
| [17]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S ὡςC παύωVAI-AMI3S λαλέωV2-PAPNSM καίC ῥίπτωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASF σιαγώνN3N-ASF ἐκP ὁRA-GSF χείρN3-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC καλέωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASM τόποςN2-ASM ἐκεῖνοςRD-ASM ἀναίρεσιςN3I-NSF σιαγώνN3N-GSF |
[17]And when he had left speakyng, he cast away the iawe bone out of his hande, and called the place Ramath Lehi |
| [18]καίC διψάωVAI-AAI3S σφόδραD καίC κλαίωVAI-AAI3S πρόςP κύριοςN2-ASM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S σύRP-NS εὐδοκέωVA-AAI2S ἐνP χείρN3-DSF δοῦλοςN2-GSM σύRP-GS ὁRA-ASF σωτηρίαN1A-ASF ὁRA-ASF μέγαςA1-ASF οὗτοςRD-ASF καίC νῦνD ἀποθνήσκωVF2-FMI1S ὁRA-DSN δίψοςN3E-DSN καίC ἐνπίπτωVF2-FMI1S ἐνP χείρN3-DSF ὁRA-GPM ἀπερίτμητοςA1B-GPM |
[18]And he was sore a thyrst, and called on the Lord, and sayde: Thou hast geuen this great victory in the hande of thy seruaunt: and nowe I must dye for thirst, and fall into the handes of the vncircumcised |
| [19]καίC ῥήγνυμιVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ὁRA-ASM λάκκοςN2-ASM ὁRA-ASM ἐνP ὁRA-DSF σιαγώνN3N-DSF καίC ἐκἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S ἐκP αὐτόςRD-GSM ὕδωρN3-NSN καίC πίνωVBI-AAI3S καίC ἐπιστρέφωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSN πνεῦμαN3M-NSN αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ζάωVAI-AAI3S διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN καλέωVCI-API3S ὁRA-NSN ὄνομαN3M-NSN αὐτόςRD-GSF πηγήN1-NSF ὁRA-GSM ἐπικαλέωV2-PMPGSM ὅςRR-NSF εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐνP σιαγώνN3N-DSF ἕωςP ὁRA-GSF ἡμέραN1A-GSF οὗτοςRD-GSF |
[19]But God brake a great tooth that was in the iawe, & there came water therout, and when he had drunke, his spirite came agayne, & he was refreshed: wherfore the name thereof was called vnto this day, The well of the caller on: which came of the iawe |
| [20]καίC κρίνωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASM *ἰσραήλN--ASM ἐνP ἡμέραN1A-DPF ἀλλόφυλοςA1B-GPM εἴκοσιM ἔτοςN3E-APN |
[20]And he iudged Israel in the dayes of the Philistines, twentie yeres |
