| [1]Thus said Jehovah unto me, `Go, and thou hast got for thee a girdle of linen, and hast placed it on thy loins, and into water thou dost not cause it to enter:' |

| [2]and I get the girdle, according to the word of Jehovah, and I place [it] on my loins. |

| [3]And there is a word of Jehovah unto me a second time, saying, |
[3]καίC γίγνομαιVCI-API3S λόγοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS λέγωV1-PAPNSM |
| [4]`Take the girdle that thou hast got, that [is] on thy loins, and rise, go to Phrat, and hide it there in a hole of the rock; |
[4]λαμβάνωVB-AAD2S ὁRA-ASN περίζωμαN3M-ASN ὁRA-ASN περίP ὁRA-ASF ὀσφύςN3U-ASF σύRP-GS καίC ἀναἵστημιVH-AAD2S καίC βαδίζωVA-AAD2S ἐπίP ὁRA-ASM *εὐφράτηςN1M-ASM καίC κατακρύπτωVA-AAD2S αὐτόςRD-ASN ἐκεῖD ἐνP ὁRA-DSF τρυμαλιάN1A-DSF ὁRA-GSF πέτραN1A-GSF |
| [5]and I go and hide it by Phrat, as Jehovah commanded me. |
[5]καίC πορεύομαιVCI-API1S καίC κρύπτωVAI-AAI1S αὐτόςRD-ASN ἐνP ὁRA-DSM *εὐφράτηςN1M-DSM καθώςD ἐντέλλομαιVAI-AMI3S ἐγώRP-DS κύριοςN2-NSM |
| [6]And it cometh to pass, at the end of many days, that Jehovah saith unto me, `Rise, go to Phrat, and take thence the girdle, that I commanded thee to hide there;' |
[6]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S μετάP ἡμέραN1A-APF πολύςA1-APF καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS ἀναἵστημιVH-AAD2S βαδίζωVA-AAD2S ἐπίP ὁRA-ASM *εὐφράτηςN1M-ASM καίC λαμβάνωVB-AAD2S ἐκεῖθενD ὁRA-ASN περίζωμαN3M-ASN ὅςRR-ASN ἐντέλλομαιVAI-AMI1S σύRP-DS ὁRA-GSN κατακρύπτωVA-AAN ἐκεῖD |
| [7]and I go to Phrat, and dig, and take the girdle from the place where I had hid it; and lo, the girdle hath been marred, it is not profitable for anything. |
[7]καίC πορεύομαιVCI-API1S ἐπίP ὁRA-ASM *εὐφράτηςN1M-ASM ποταμόςN2-ASM καίC ὀρύσσωVAI-AAI1S καίC λαμβάνωVBI-AAI1S ὁRA-ASN περίζωμαN3M-ASN ἐκP ὁRA-GSM τόποςN2-GSM οὗD καταὀρύσσωVAI-AAI1S αὐτόςRD-ASN ἐκεῖD καίC ἰδούI διαφθείρωVM-XMPNSN εἰμίV9-IAI3S ὅςRR-NSN οὐD μήD χράωVS-APS3S εἰςP οὐδείςA3-ASN |
| [8]And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying, `Thus said Jehovah: |
[8]καίC γίγνομαιVCI-API3S λόγοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS λέγωV1-PAPNSM |
| [9]Thus do I mar the excellency of Judah, And the great excellency of Jerusalem. |
[9]ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM οὕτωςD φθείρωVF2-FAI1S ὁRA-ASF ὕβριςN3I-ASF *ιουδαN--GSM καίC ὁRA-ASF ὕβριςN3I-ASF *ἰερουσαλήμN--GSF |
| [10]This evil people, who refuse to hear My words, Who walk in the stubbornness of their heart, And go after other gods to serve them, And to bow themselves to them, Yea it is -- as this girdle, that is not profitable for anything. |
[10]ὁRA-ASF πολύςA1-ASF οὗτοςRD-ASF ὕβριςN3I-ASF ὁRA-APM μήD βούλομαιV1-PMPAPM ὑποἀκούωV1-PAN ὁRA-GPM λόγοςN2-GPM ἐγώRP-GS καίC πορεύομαιVC-APPAPM ὀπίσωP θεόςN2-GPM ἀλλότριοςA1A-GPM ὁRA-GSN δουλεύωV1-PAN αὐτόςRD-DPM καίC ὁRA-GSN προςκυνέωV2-PAN αὐτόςRD-DPM καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3P ὥσπερD ὁRA-NSN περίζωμαN3M-NSN οὗτοςRD-NSN ὅςRR-NSN οὐD χράωVS-FPI3S εἰςP οὐδείςA3-ASN |
| [11]For, as the girdle cleaveth unto the loins of a man, So I caused to cleave unto Me The whole house of Israel, And the whole house of Judah, an affirmation of Jehovah, To be to Me for a people, and for a name, And for praise, and for beauty, And they have not hearkened. |
[11]ὅτιC καθάπερD κολλάωV3-PMI3S ὁRA-NSN περίζωμαN3-NSN περίP ὁRA-ASF ὀσφύςN3U-ASF ὁRA-GSM ἄνθρωποςN2-GSM οὕτωςD κολλάωVAI-AAI1S πρόςP ἐμαυτοῦRD-ASM ὁRA-ASM οἶκοςN2-ASM ὁRA-GSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM καίC πᾶςA3-ASM οἶκοςN2-ASM *ιουδαN--GSM ὁRA-GSN γίγνομαιVB-AMN ἐγώRP-DS εἰςP λαόςN2-ASM ὀνομαστόςA1-ASM καίC εἰςP καύχημαN3M-ASN καίC εἰςP δόξαN1S-ASF καίC οὐD εἰςἀκούωVAI-AAI3P ἐγώRP-GS |
| [12]And thou hast said unto them this word, Thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, `Every bottle is full of wine,' And they have said unto thee: `Do we not certainly know that every bottle is full of wine?' |
[12]καίC εἶπονVF2-FAI2S πρόςP ὁRA-ASM λαόςN2-ASM οὗτοςRD-ASM πᾶςA3-NSM ἀσκόςN2-NSM πληρόωVC-FPI3S οἶνοςN2-GSM καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S ἐάνC εἶπονVB-AAS3P πρόςP σύRP-AS μήD γιγνώσκωVZ-AAPNPM οὐD γιγνώσκωVF-FMI1P ὅτιC πᾶςA3-NSM ἀσκόςN2-NSM πληρόωVC-FPI3S οἶνοςN2-GSM |
| [13]And thou hast said unto them, `Thus said Jehovah: Lo, I am filling all the inhabitants of this land, And the kings who sit for David on his throne, And the priests, and the prophets, And all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, [With] drunkenness, |
[13]καίC εἶπονVF2-FAI2S πρόςP αὐτόςRD-APM ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ἰδούI ἐγώRP-NS πληρόωVF-FAI1S ὁRA-APM καταοἰκέωV2-PAPAPM ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF οὗτοςRD-ASF καίC ὁRA-APM βασιλεύςN3V-APM αὐτόςRD-GPM ὁRA-APM καταἧμαιV5-PMPAPM υἱόςN2-APM *δαυίδN--GSM ἐπίP θρόνοςN2-GSM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ὁRA-APM ἱερεύςN3V-APM καίC ὁRA-APM προφήτηςN1M-APM καίC ὁRA-ASM *ἰούδαςN1T-ASM καίC πᾶςA3-APM ὁRA-APM καταοἰκέωV2-PAPAPM *ἰερουσαλήμN--ASF μέθυσμαN3M-DSN |
| [14]And have dashed them one against another, And the fathers and the sons together, An affirmation of Jehovah, I do not pity, nor spare, nor have I mercy, So as not to destroy them. |
[14]καίC διασκορπίζωVF2-FAI1S αὐτόςRD-APM ἀνήρN3-ASM καίC ὁRA-ASM ἀδελφόςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ὁRA-APM πατήρN3-APM αὐτόςRD-GPM καίC ὁRA-APM υἱόςN2-APM αὐτόςRD-GPM ἐνP ὁRA-DSN αὐτόςRD-DSN οὐD ἐπιποθέωVF-FAI1S λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM καίC οὐD φείδομαιVF-FMI1S καίC οὐD οἰκτείρωVF-FAI1S ἀπόP διαφθοράN1A-GSF αὐτόςRD-GPM |
| [15]Hear, and give ear -- be not haughty, For Jehovah hath spoken. |
[15]ἀκούωVA-AAD2P καίC ἐνωτίζομαιVA-AMD2P καίC μήD ἐπιαἴρωV1-PMD2P ὅτιC κύριοςN2-NSM λαλέωVAI-AAI3S |
| [16]Give ye to Jehovah your God honour, Before He doth cause darkness, And before your feet stumble on dark mountains, And ye have waited for light, And He hath made it for death-shade, And hath appointed [it] for thick darkness. |
[16]δίδωμιVO-AAD2P ὁRA-DSM κύριοςN2-DSM θεόςN2-DSM σύRP-GP δόξαN1S-ASF πρόP ὁRA-GSN συσκοτάζωVA-AAN καίC πρόςP ὁRA-GSN προςκόπτωVA-AAN πούςN3D-APM σύRP-GP ἐπίP ὄροςN3E-APN σκοτεινόςA1-APN καίC ἀναμένωVF2-FAI2P εἰςP φῶςN3T-ASN καίC ἐκεῖD σκιάN1A-NSF θάνατοςN2-GSM καίC τίθημιVC-FPI3P εἰςP σκότοςN3E-ASN |
| [17]And if ye do not hear it, In secret places doth my soul weep, because of pride, Yea, it weepeth sore, And the tear cometh down mine eyes, For the flock of Jehovah hath been taken captive. |
[17]ἐάνC δέX μήD ἀκούωVA-AAS2P κεκρυμμένωςD κλαίωVF-FMI3S ὁRA-NSF ψυχήN1-NSF σύRP-GP ἀπόP πρόσωπονN2N-GSN ὕβριςN3I-GSF καίC καταἄγωVF-FAI3P ὁRA-NPM ὀφθαλμόςN2-NPM σύRP-GP δάκρυN2N-APN ὅτιC συντρίβωVDI-API3S ὁRA-ASN ποίμνιονN2-ASN κύριοςN2-GSM |
| [18]Say to the king and to the mistress: Make yourselves low -- sit still, For come down have your principalities, The crown of your beauty. |

| [19]The cities of the south have been shut up, And there is none opening, Judah hath been removed -- all of her, She hath been removed completely -- |

| [20]Lift up your eyes, and see those coming in from the north, Where [is] the drove given to thee, thy beautiful flock? |

| [21]What dost thou say, when He looketh after thee? And thou -- thou hast taught them [to be] over thee -- leaders for head? Do not pangs seize thee as a travailing woman? |
[21]τίςRI-ASN εἶπονVF2-FAI2S ὅτανD ἐπισκέπτωV1-PMS3P σύRP-AS καίC σύRP-NS διδάσκωVAI-AAI2S αὐτόςRD-APM ἐπίP σύRP-AS μάθημαN3M-APN εἰςP ἀρχήN1-ASF οὐD ὠδίνN3-NPF καταἔχωVF-FAI3P σύRP-AS καθώςD γυνήN3K-ASF τίκτωV1-PAPASF |
| [22]And when thou dost say in thy heart, `Wherefore have these met me?' For the abundance of thine iniquity Have thy skirts been uncovered, Have thy heels suffered violence. |

| [23]Doth a Cushite change his skin? and a leopard his spots? Ye also are able to do good, who are accustomed to do evil. |

| [24]And I scatter them as stubble, Passing away, by a wind of the wilderness. |
[24]καίC διασπείρωVAI-AAI1S αὐτόςRD-APM ὡςC φρύγανονN2N-APN φέρωV1-PMPAPN ὑπόP ἄνεμοςN2-GSM εἰςP ἔρημοςN2-ASF |
| [25]This [is] thy lot, the portion of thy measures from Me -- an affirmation of Jehovah, Because thou hast forgotten me, And dost trust in falsehood. |

| [26]I also have made bare thy skirts before thy face, And thy shame hath been seen. |

| [27]Thine adulteries, and thy neighings, The wickedness of thy whoredom, on heights in a field, I have seen thine abominations. Wo to thee, O Jerusalem, Thou art not cleansed, after when [is it] again? |
