| [2]Thus saith 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 the Maker thereof, 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 that formed it to establish it, 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 is His name: |

| [3]Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and will tell thee great things, and hidden, which thou knowest not. |

| [4]For thus saith 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down for mounds, and ramparts; |
[4]For thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, concerning the housesH1004 of this cityH5892, and concerning the housesH1004 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063, which are thrown downH5422[H8803] by the mountsH5550, and by the swordH2719; |
| [5]Whereon they come to fight with the Chaldeans, even to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in Mine anger and in My fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid My face from this city: |
[5]They comeH935[H8802] to fightH3898[H8736] with the ChaldeansH3778, but it is to fillH4390[H8763] them with the dead bodiesH6297 of menH120, whom I have slainH5221[H8689] in mine angerH639 and in my furyH2534, and for all whose wickednessH7451 I have hidH5641[H8689] my faceH6440 from this cityH5892. |
| [6]Behold, I will bring it healing and cure, and I will cure them; and I will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth. |
[6]Behold, I will bringH5927[H8688] it healthH724 and cureH4832, and I will cureH7495[H8804] them, and will revealH1540[H8765] unto them the abundanceH6283 of peaceH7965 and truthH571. |
| [7]And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first. |
[7]And I will cause the captivityH7622 of JudahH3063 and the captivityH7622 of IsraelH3478 to returnH7725[H8689], and will buildH1129[H8804] them, as at the firstH7223. |
| [8]And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against Me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned against Me, and whereby they have transgressed against Me. |
[8]And I will cleanseH2891[H8765] them from all their iniquityH5771, whereby they have sinnedH2398[H8804] against me; and I will pardonH5545[H8804] all their iniquitiesH5771, whereby they have sinnedH2398[H8804], and whereby they have transgressedH6586 against meH8804. |
| [9]And this city shall be to Me for a name of joy, for a praise and for a glory, before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them, and shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I procure unto it. |
[9]And it shall be to me a nameH8034 of joyH8342, a praiseH8416 and an honourH8597 before all the nationsH1471 of the earthH776, which shall hearH8085[H8799] all the goodH2896 that I doH6213[H8802] unto them: and they shall fearH6342[H8804] and trembleH7264[H8804] for all the goodnessH2896 and for all the prosperityH7965 that I procureH6213 unto itH8802. |
| [10]Thus saith 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇: Yet again there shall be heard in this place, whereof ye say: It is waste, without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast, |

| [11]The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that say: 'Give thanks to 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 of hosts, for 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 is good, for His mercy endureth for ever', even of them that bring offerings of thanksgiving into the house of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇. For I will cause the captivity of the land to return as at the first, saith 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇. |
[11]The voiceH6963 of joyH8342, and the voiceH6963 of gladnessH8057, the voiceH6963 of the bridegroomH2860, and the voiceH6963 of the brideH3618, the voiceH6963 of them that shall sayH559[H8802], PraiseH3034[H8685] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635: for the LORDH3068 is goodH2896; for his mercyH2617 endureth for everH5769: and of them that shall bringH935[H8688] the sacrifice of praiseH8426 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. | [12]Thus saith 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 of hosts: Yet again shall there be in this place, which is waste, without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down. |

| [13]In the cities of the hill-country, in the cities of the Lowland, and in the cities of the South, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks again pass under the hands of him that counteth them, sait 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇. |

| [14]Behold, the days come, saith 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇, that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah. |

| [15]In those days, and at that time, will I cause a shoot of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute justi righteousness in the land. |

| [16]In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is the name whereby she shall be called, 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 is our righteousness. |

| [17]For thus saith 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇: There shall not be cut off unto David a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel; |
[17]For thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068; DavidH1732 shall neverH3808 wantH3772[H8735] a manH376 to sitH3427[H8802] upon the throneH3678 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478; |
| [18]Neither shall there be cut off unto the priests the Levites a man before Me to offer burnt-offerings, and to burn meal-offerings, and to do sacrifice continually. |
[18]Neither shall the priestsH3548 the LevitesH3881 wantH3772[H8735] a manH376 beforeH6440 me to offerH5927[H8688] burnt offeringsH5930, and to kindleH6999[H8688] meat offeringsH4503, and to doH6213[H8802] sacrificeH2077 continuallyH3117. |
| [19]And the word of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 came unto Jeremiah, saying: |

| [20]Thus saith 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇: If ye can break My covenant with the day, and My covenant with the night, so that there should not be day and night in their season; |
[20]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068; If ye can breakH6565[H8686] my covenantH1285 of the dayH3117, and my covenantH1285 of the nightH3915, and that there should not be dayH3119 and nightH3915 in their seasonH6256; |
| [21]Then may also My covenant be broken with David My servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, My ministers. |

| [22]As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David My servant, and the Levites that minister unto Me. |

| [23]And the word of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 came to Jeremiah, saying: |

| [24]'Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying: The two families which 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 did choose, He hath cast them off? and they contemn My people, that they should be no more a nation before them. |
[24]ConsiderestH7200[H8804] thou not what this peopleH5971 have spokenH1696[H8765], sayingH559[H8800], The twoH8147 familiesH4940 which the LORDH3068 hath chosenH977[H8804], he hath even cast them offH3988[H8799]? thus they have despisedH5006[H8799] my peopleH5971, that they should be no more a nationH1471 before themH6440. |
| [25]Thus saith 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇: If My covenant be not with day and night, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; |
[25]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068; If my covenantH1285 be not with dayH3119 and nightH3915, and if I have not appointedH7760[H8804] the ordinancesH2708 of heavenH8064 and earthH776; |
| [26]Then will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David My servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; for I will cause their captivity to return, and will have compassion on them.' |
