[1]Moreover JobH347 continuedH3254[H8686][H5375][H8800] his parableH4912, H559and saidH8799 |
[1]Moreover Job proceeded and continued his parable, saying, |
[2]As GodH410 livethH2416, who hath taken awayH5493[H8689] my judgmentH4941; and the AlmightyH7706, who hath vexedH4843[H8689] my soulH5315; |
[2]The living God hath taken away my judgment: for the Almighty hath put my soul in bitterness. |
[3]All the whileH5750 my breathH5397 is in me, and the spiritH7307 of GodH433 is in my nostrilsH639; |
[3]Yet so long as my breath is in me, and the spirit of God in my nostrils, |
[4]My lipsH8193 shall not speakH1696[H8762] wickednessH5766, nor my tongueH3956 utterH1897[H8799] deceitH7423. |
[4]My lips surely shall speak no wickedness, and my tongue shall utter no deceit. |
[5]God forbidH2486 that I should justifyH6663[H8686] you: till I dieH1478[H8799] I will not removeH5493[H8686] mine integrity from meH8538. |
[5]God forbid, that I should justify you: until I die, I will never take away mine innocency from myself. |
[6]My righteousnessH6666 I holdH2388[H8689] fast, and will not let it goH7503[H8686]: my heartH3824 shall not reproachH2778[H8799] me so long as I liveH3117. |
[6]I will keep my righteousness, and will not forsake it: mine heart shall not reprove me of my days. |
[7]Let mine enemyH341[H8802] be as the wickedH7563, and he that riseth upH6965[H8693] against me as the unrighteousH5767. |
[7]Mine enemy shall be as the wicked, and he that riseth against me, as the unrighteous. |
[8]For what is the hopeH8615 of the hypocriteH2611, though he hath gainedH1214[H8799], when GodH433 taketh awayH7953[H8799] his soulH5315? |
[8]For what hope hath the hypocrite when he hath heaped up riches, if God take away his soul? |
[9]Will GodH410 hearH8085[H8799] his cryH6818 when troubleH6869 comethH935 upon himH8799? |
[9]Will God hear his cry, when trouble cometh upon him? |
[10]Will he delightH6026[H8691] himself in the AlmightyH7706? will he alwaysH6256 callH7121[H8799] upon GodH433? |
[10]Will he set his delight on the Almighty? Will he call upon God at all times? |
[11]I will teachH3384[H8686] you by the handH3027 of GodH410: that which is with the AlmightyH7706 will I not concealH3582.[H8762] |
[11]I will teach you what is in the hand of God, and I will not conceal that which is with the Almighty. |
[12]Behold, all ye yourselves have seenH2372[H8804] it; why then are ye thus altogetherH1892 vainH1891?[H8799] |
[12]Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it: why then do you thus vanish in vanity? |
[13]This is the portionH2506 of a wickedH7563 manH120 with GodH410, and the heritageH5159 of oppressorsH6184, which they shall receiveH3947[H8799] of the AlmightyH7706. |
[13]This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of tyrants, which they shall receive of the Almighty. |
[14]If his childrenH1121 be multipliedH7235[H8799], it is forH3926 the swordH2719: and his offspringH6631 shall not be satisfiedH7646[H8799] with breadH3899. |
[14]If his children be in great number, the sword shall destroy them, and his posterity shall not be satisfied with bread. |
[15]Those that remainH8300 of him shall be buriedH6912[H8735] in deathH4194: and his widowsH490 shall not weepH1058.[H8799] |
[15]His remnant shall be buried in death, and his widows shall not weep. |
[16]Though he heap upH6651[H8799] silverH3701 as the dustH6083, and prepareH3559[H8686] raimentH4403 as the clayH2563; |
[16]Though he should heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay, |
[17]He may prepareH3559[H8686] it, but the justH6662 shall put it onH3847[H8799], and the innocentH5355 shall divideH2505[H8799] the silverH3701. |
[17]He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver. |
[18]He buildethH1129[H8804] his houseH1004 as a mothH6211, and as a boothH5521 that the keeperH5341[H8802] makethH6213.[H8804] |
[18]He buildeth his house as the moth, and as a lodge that the watchman maketh. |
[19]The richH6223 man shall lie downH7901[H8799], but he shall not be gatheredH622[H8735]: he openethH6491[H8804] his eyes, and he is notH5869. |
[19]When the rich man sleepeth, he shall not be gathered to his fathers: they opened their eyes, and he was gone. |
[20]TerrorsH1091 take holdH5381[H8686] on him as watersH4325, a tempestH5492 stealeth him awayH1589[H8804] in the nightH3915. |
[20]Terrors shall take him as waters, and a tempest shall carry him away by night. |
[21]The eastH6921 wind carrieth him awayH5375[H8799], and he departethH3212[H8799]: and as a storm hurlethH8175[H8762] him out of his placeH4725. |
[21]The east wind shall take him away, and he shall depart: and it shall hurl him out of his place. |
[22]For God shall castH7993[H8686] upon him, and not spareH2550[H8799]: he would fainH1272[H8800] fleeH1272[H8799] out of his handH3027. |
[22]And God shall cast upon him and not spare, though he would fain flee out of his hand. |
[23]Men shall clapH5606[H8799] their handsH3709 at him, and shall hissH8319[H8799] him out of his placeH4725. |
[23]Every man shall clap their hands at him, and hiss at him out of their place. |
