[1]Moreover JobH347 continuedH3254[H8686][H5375][H8800] his parableH4912, H559and saidH8799
[2]מִֽי־יִתְּנֵ֥נִי כְיַרְחֵי־קֶ֑דֶם כִּ֝ימֵ֗י אֱלֹ֣והַּ יִשְׁמְרֵֽנִי׃ [2]Oh thatH5414[H8799] I were as in monthsH3391 pastH6924, as in the daysH3117 when GodH433 preservedH8104 meH8799;
[3]בְּהִלֹּ֣ו נֵ֭רֹו עֲלֵ֣י רֹאשִׁ֑י לְ֝אֹורֹו אֵ֣לֶךְ חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃ [3]When his candleH5216 shinedH1984[H8800] upon my headH7218, and when by his lightH216 I walkedH3212[H8799] through darknessH2822;
[4]כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר הָ֭יִיתִי בִּימֵ֣י חָרְפִּ֑י בְּסֹ֥וד אֱ֝לֹ֗והַּ עֲלֵ֣י אָהֳלִֽי׃ [4]As I was in the daysH3117 of my youthH2779, when the secretH5475 of GodH433 was upon my tabernacleH168;
[5]בְּעֹ֣וד דַּי עִמָּדִ֑י סְבִ֖יבֹותַ֣י נְעָרָֽי׃ [5]When the AlmightyH7706 was yet with me, when my childrenH5288 were about meH5439;
[6]בִּרְחֹ֣ץ הֲלִיכַ֣י בְּחֵמָ֑ה וְצ֥וּר יָצ֥וּק עִ֝מָּדִ֗י פַּלְגֵי־שָֽׁמֶן׃ [6]When I washedH7364[H8800] my stepsH1978 with butterH2529, and the rockH6697 poured me outH6694[H8799] riversH6388 of oilH8081;
[7]When I went outH3318[H8800] to the gateH8179 through the cityH7176, when I preparedH3559[H8686] my seatH4186 in the streetH7339!
[8]The young menH5288 sawH7200[H8804] me, and hidH2244[H8738] themselves: and the agedH3453 aroseH6965[H8804], and stood upH5975.[H8804]
[9]The princesH8269 refrainedH6113[H8804] talkingH4405, and laidH7760[H8799] their handH3709 on their mouthH6310.
[10]The noblesH5057 heldH2244[H8738] their peaceH6963, and their tongueH3956 cleavedH1692[H8804] to the roof of their mouthH2441.
[11]When the earH241 heardH8085[H8804] me, then it blessedH833[H8762] me; and when the eyeH5869 sawH7200[H8804] me, it gave witnessH5749 to meH8686:
[12]Because I deliveredH4422[H8762] the poorH6041 that criedH7768[H8764], and the fatherlessH3490, and him that had none to helpH5826 himH8802.
[13]The blessingH1293 of him that was ready to perishH6[H8802] cameH935[H8799] upon me: and I caused the widow'sH490 heartH3820 to sing for joyH7442.[H8686]
[14]I putH3847[H8804] on righteousnessH6664, and it clothedH3847[H8799] me: my judgmentH4941 was as a robeH4598 and a diademH6797.
[15]I was eyesH5869 to the blindH5787, and feetH7272 was I to the lameH6455.
[16]I was a fatherH1 to the poorH34: and the causeH7379 which I knewH3045[H8804] not I searched outH2713.[H8799]
[17]And I brakeH7665[H8762] the jawsH4973 of the wickedH5767, and pluckedH7993[H8686] the spoilH2964 out of his teethH8127.
[18]Then I saidH559[H8799], I shall dieH1478[H8799] in my nestH7064, and I shall multiplyH7235[H8686] my daysH3117 as the sandH2344.
[19]My rootH8328 was spread outH6605[H8803] by the watersH4325, and the dewH2919 lay all nightH3885[H8799] upon my branchH7105.
[20]My gloryH3519 was freshH2319 in meH5978, and my bowH7198 was renewedH2498[H8686] in my handH3027.
[21]Unto me men gave earH8085[H8804], and waitedH3176[H8765], and kept silenceH1826[H8799] atH3926 my counselH6098.
[22]AfterH310 my wordsH1697 they spake not againH8138[H8799]; and my speechH4405 droppedH5197 upon themH8799.
[23]And they waitedH3176[H8765] for me as for the rainH4306; and they openedH6473[H8804] their mouthH6310 wide as for the latter rainH4456.
[24]If I laughedH7832[H8799] on them, they believedH539[H8686] it not; and the lightH216 of my countenanceH6440 they cast not downH5307.[H8686]
[25]I choseH977[H8799] out their wayH1870, and satH3427[H8799] chiefH7218, and dweltH7931[H8799] as a kingH4428 in the armyH1416, as one that comfortethH5162[H8762] the mournersH57.
