[1]NOW before the feast of petscha, Jeshu knew that his hour was come, and that he should pass from this world unto his Father, and he had loved his who were in this world, and unto the end he had loved them. [1]Before but the feast of Passover known had Ieshu that had arrived the hour that He would depart from this world to His Father and He loved His own who are in this world and until the end He loved them
[2]And when was the supper, Satana had cast it into the heart of Jihuda bar Shemun Scarjuta to betray him. [2]And when it was supper cast He ? Satan into the heart of Yehudah son of Shimeon Scariota so that he would betray Him
[3]But Jeshu himself, because he knew that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that from Aloha he had come forth, and unto Aloha he was going, [3]Himself but Ieshu because knew He every thing had given The Father into His hands and that from Alaha He had gone out and unto Alaha He would depart
[4]Riseth from supper, and setteth his garments apart, and took a towel, [and] bound [it] upon his loins; [4]Arose from supper and put off His robe and took up a towel tied around His waist
[5]And he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the feet of his disciples, and wiped [them] with the towel that he had bound upon his loins. [5]And He took water in a wash basin and began to wash the feet of his disciples and wiped He with the towel that He had tied around His waist
[6]But when he came to Shemun Kipha, Shemun said to him, Dost thou, my Lord, wash my feet for me? [6]When but He came to Shimeon Kaypha said to Him Shimeon are? my Lord My feet washing you for me
[7]Jeshu answered and said to him, What I do, thou knowest not now; but afterward thou shalt know. [7]Answered Ieshu and said to him the thing that do I you not know do now after this but you will know
[8]Shemun Kipha saith to him, Never shalt thou wash for me my feet. Jeshu saith to him, If I do not wash thee, thou hast with me no part. [8]Said to Him Shimeon Kaypha to eternity not do wash you for me my feet said to him Ieshu if not do wash I you there is not for you with Me a part
[9]Shemun Kipha saith to him, Then, my Lord, not only my feet shalt thou wash for me, but also my hands, also my head. [9]Said to him Shimeon Kaypha therefore my Lord not only my feet wash for me but also my hands and my head
[10]Jeshu saith, He that hath bathed needeth not but his feet only to wash, for all of him he hath cleansed: also you are clean, but not all of you. [10]Said to him Ieshu he who has bathed not needs except his feet only to wash wholly for clean he is also you you entirely clean are but not all of you
[11]For Jeshu knew who was betraying him; therefore he said, Ye are not all of you clean. [11]Known had for Ieshu him who would betray him because of this He said that not were all of you clean you
[12]But when he had washed their feet, he took up his garments and reclined, and said to them, Know you what I have done for you? [12]When but He had washed their feet He took up His robe and reclined at the table and said to them do know? you what I have done to you
[13]You call me Our Master, and Our Lord; and well say you, for I am. [13]You call do Me our Master and our Lord and rightly say you I am for
[14]If I then, your Lord and your Master, have washed for you your feet, how much more ought you to wash the feet of one another? [14]If I therefore your Lord and your Master have washed for you your feet how much? you ought you to wash the feet one of another
[15]For this pattern have I given you, that as I have done to you, you also should do. [15]This for example I have given to you that in which way that I have done to you also you should do
[16]Amen, amen, I say to you, The servant is not greater than his lord; nor [is] the apostle greater than he who sent him. [16]Amen Amen speak I to you there is not a servant ? greater than his master and not an apostle ? greater than him who sent him
[17]If these you know, happy are you if you do them. [17]If these things you know blessed you are if you shall do them
[18]Not of all of you do I speak; for I know those whom I have chosen; but that the scripture might be fulfilled, that he who eateth bread with me hath lifted against me his heel. [18]Not it was about all of you spoke I know I for those whom I have chosen but that the scripture may be fulfilled that he who eats with Me bread has lifted up against Me his heel
[19]Now I tell you before it shall be, that when it is done you may believe that I am. [19]From this hour telling I am you from before it happens that when it has occurred you shall believe I I
[20]Amen, amen, I say to you, Whoever receiveth him whom I send receiveth me; and whoever receiveth me receiveth him who sent me. [20]Amen Amen speak I to you that whoever receives Him that send I Me receives and whoever Me receives receives Him Who has sent Me
[21]These said Jeshu, and was agitated in his spirit, and testified, and said, Amen, amen, I say to you, That one of you shall betray me. [21]These things said Ieshu and was powerfully moved in His Spirit and He testified and said Amen Amen speak I to you that one of you will betray Me

[24]To this signed Shemun Kipha that he would ask of whom it was that he spake. [24]To this one gestured Shimeon Kaypha to ask Him who is? he of whom He spoke about him
[25]And that disciple fell upon the bosom of Jeshu, and said to him, My Lord, who is this? [25]And fell that disciple on the breast of Ieshu and said to Him my Lord who is? this one

[27]Then after the bread Satana entered into him. And Jeshu said to him, What thou doest, do with speed! [27]And after the bread then was brought in into him Satan and said to him Ieshu the thing do you do quickly
[28]But this no man knew of those who reclined of what he spake to him. [28]This but not a man knew among those reclining ? why He spoke to him
[29]For some of them thought that as Jihuda had the purse, he had instructed him to buy something that should be required at the feast, or that he should give somewhat to the poor. [29]The men for thought because the money box with him was of Yehudah that He commanding He commanded him that he would buy something desired for the feast or that he would give something to the poor
[30]But he, Jihuda, received the bread and immediately went out: and it was night when he went out. [30]He but Yehudah took the bread son of a moment and went for him outside night it was but when he left
[31]AND Jeshu said, Now is glorified the Son of man, and Aloha is glorified in him. [31]And said Ieshu now is glorified The Son of Man and Alaha is glorified in Him
[32]And if Aloha is glorified in him, Aloha shall glorify him in himself, and at once doth glorify him. [32]And if Alaha is glorified in Him also Alaha glorifies Him in Himself and at once glorifies Him
[33]My sons, a little longer I am with you, and you will seek me; and, as I said to the Jihudoyee, Whither I go you cannot come, so to you say I now. [33]My children a little longer with you I am and you will seek Me and just as I said to the Jews that the place to which I departing am you not able are to come also to you say I now
[34]A new commandment give I to you, that you should love one another; as I have loved you, so do you also love one another. [34]A commandment new give I to you be loving one to another just as I have loved you also you shall love one another
[35]By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if love be in you one for another. [35]In this shall know every man that My disciples you are if love shall be in you one to the other
[36]Shemun Kipha said to him, Our Lord, whither goest thou? Jeshu said to him, Whither I go, thou canst not now come after me; but at the last thou shalt come. [38]Jeshu saith to him, Dost thou lay down thy life for me! Amen, amen, I tell thee, That the cock will not crow, until thou shalt have denied me three times.
