PesNT(Eth)
[1]Then Pilatus scourged Ieshu [1]Then Pilatos scourged Jeshu.
[2]And the soldiers twined a crown from thorns and they placed it on His head and clothed Him with a robe of purple [2]And the soldiers entwined a crown of thorns, and set it on his head; and they covered him with robes of purple,
[3]And saying they were hail to you King of The Jews and hitting they were Him on His cheeks [3]And said, Hail to thee, King of the Jihudoyee! and struck him upon his cheeks.
[4]And went out Pilatus again outside and said to them Behold shall bring forth I Him to you outside that you may know that not find I occasion for complaint in him not even one cause [4]And Pilatos came again forth, and said to them, Behold, I bring him to you forth, that you may know that I find nothing against him, nor one cause [of death].
[5]And went forth Ieshu outside when is upon Him the crown of thorns and the robe of purple and said to them Pilatus Behold here is the Man [5]AND Jeshu came forth, having on him the crown of thorns and the robes of purple. And Pilatos said to them, Behold the man!
[6]When but saw Him chief the priests and the guards they cried out and they were saying Crucify Him Crucify Him said to them Pilatus take you and crucify Him I for not find I in Him a fault [6]But when the chief priests and officials saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him! Pilatos saith to them, Take you him and crucify him; for I find in him no cause.
[7]Were saying to him The Judeans to us the law is to us and according to that in our Torah is condemned He to death because He made Himself The Son of Alaha [7]The Jihudoyee say to him, We have a law, and, according to our law, he is guilty of death, because he made himself the son of Aloha.
[8]When heard but Pilate this statement the more he was afraid [8]When Pilatos heard that word, he the more feared.
[9]And he entered again the Praetorian and said to Ieshu from where? are You Ieshu but answer no gave to him [9]And he entered again the praetorium, and said to Jeshu, Whence art thou? But Jeshu gave him no answer.
[10]Said to him Pilatus with me not? speaking are you not? know you that authorized I am that I may release You and authorized I am that I may crucify You [10]Pilatos saith to him, With me speakest thou not? Knowest thou not that I have power to release thee, and power to crucify thee?
[11]Said to him Ieshu not there was to you over Me authority even not one if not given it had been to you from above because of this he whoever delivered Me to you greater is the sin of him than yours [11]Jeshu saith to him, Thou against ME hast no power, no not any, unless it hath been given to thee from above: wherefore he who delivered me to thee hath a sin greater than thine.
[12]And because of this want did Pilatus to release Him The Yehudeans but crying out were that if This one release you not are friend of Qesar everyone who for himself king makes an adversary is of Qesar [12]On this account Pilatos willed to release him: but the Jihudoyee cried out, If this [man] thou releasest, thou art not the friend of Cesar: for whosoever maketh himself a king is the adversary of Cesar.
[13]When heard but Pilatus this statement he brought Ieshu outside and sat down on the judgment seat in the place that is called R'tsiftha d'Kaypha in Hebrew but it is called Gpiptha [13]But when Pilatos heard that word, he brought Jeshu without, and sat down upon the tribunal in the place which is called the Pavement of Stones, but in Hebrew it is called Gaphiphtha.
[14]And the eve it was of Passover and is it was about the hour sixth and he said to the Judeans Behold Here is Your King [14]And it was the preparation for the petscha. AND it was about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jihudoyee, Behold your king!
[15]They but crying out they were take Him away take Him away crucify Him crucify Him said to them Pilatus your King shall I crucify? were saying chief the priests there is not to us a king but if Qesar [15]But they cried out, Take him away, take him away! crucify him, crucify him! Pilatos saith to them, Your king shall I crucify? The chief priests say to him, We have no king but Cesar.
[16]Then he delivered Him to them that they would crucify Him and they led Him Ieshu and brought Him out [16]Then delivered he him to them, that they might crucify him. And they took Jeshu, and led him forth,
[17]When He took up His cross to the place that is called Qaraqpatha in Hebrew but it is called Gagultha [17]Bearing his cross to a place which is called A Skull, but in Hebrew is Gogultha:
[18]The place where they crucified Him and with Him two others one on one side and one on the other side and Ieshu in the center [18]There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, and Jeshu in the midst.
[19]And wrote also a title Pilatus and placed it on His cross written it was but thus this is Ieshu The Nazarene the King of The Jews [19]And a tablet also wrote Pilatos, and set it on the cross; and it was thus written, This is Jeshu Natsroya, King of the Jihudoyee.
[20]And this tablet many from The Judeans read it because near was to the city the place in which was crucified in it Ieshu and written it was in Hebrew and in Greek and In Latin [20]And this title many of the Jihudoyee read; for nigh to the city was the place where Jeshu was crucified; and the writing was in Hebrew and Greek and Roman.
[21]And said chief the priests to Pilatus not write The King He is of The Jews but that He said The King I am of The Jews [21]And the chief priests said to Pilatos, Do not write that he is king of the Jihudoyee, but that he said, I am the king of the Jihudoyee.
[22]Said Pilatus the thing that I have written I have written [22]Pilatos saith, That which I have written, I have written.
[23]The soldiers but when they crucified Him Ieshu they took His garments and they made four parts a part to each of the soldiers His tunic but it was without seam from the top was woven all of it [23]BUT the soldiers, when they had crucified Jeshu, took his vestments and made four parts, a part unto each one of the soldiers: but his tunic was without seam, from the top woven all of it.
[24]And they said one to another not we shall tear it but we shall cast lots for it it is allowed whose to be and was fulfilled the scripture that says they divided My garment among them and for My clothing they cast lots these things did the soldiers [24]And they said one to another, Let us not rend it, but play for it by playing, [to decide] whose it shall be: and fulfilled was the scripture which had said, They divided my garments among them, and upon my raiment did they cast the lot. These things did the soldiers.
[25]Standing were but at His cross of Ieshu His mother and the sister of His mother and Mary she who was of Qliopa and Mary Magdalitha [25]But there stood by the cross of Jeshu his mother, and the sister of his mother, and Mariam, she who was [the wife] of Cleopha, and Mariam Magdalitha.
[26]Ieshu but saw His mother and the disciple him whom loved He standing and He said to His mother woman Behold he is your son [26]Jeshu seeth his mother, and that disciple whom he loved, standing; and he said to his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
[27]And He said to disciple that Behold she is your mother and from that hour received her disciple that to himself [27]And he said to that disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple received her to be with him.
[28]After these things knew Ieshu that everything had been finished and that may be fulfilled the scripture He said thirst I [28]After these Jeshu knew that every thing would be accomplished, and, that the scripture might be fulfilled, said, I thirst.
[29]And a vessel set had been full of vinegar they but filled a sponge from the vinegar and they placed it on hyssop and they put it near to His mouth [29]And a vessel was set [there] filled with vinegar: then they filled a sponge from the vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and offered it to his mouth.
[30]When but took He the vinegar Ieshu said Behold it is finished and He bowed His head and gave up His Spirit [30]And when Jeshu had taken the vinegar, he said, Behold, it is finished! And he bowed his head, and delivered up his spirit.
[31]The Jews but because the evening it was they were saying not will pass the night bodies these on their crosses because the Sabbath approaching day was for great the day of the Sabbath it was and they sought from Pilatus that they break their legs of those who had been crucified and taken away they would be [31]THE Jihudoyee, because it was the preparation, said, Let not these bodies remain-all-night upon the cross, because the shabath has lighted: for a great day was the day of that shabath. And they besought of Pilatos that they should break the legs of those [who had been] crucified, and take them down.
[32]And came the soldiers and they broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him [32]And the soldiers came, and brake the legs of the first, and of that other who was crucified with him;
[33]And when they came to Ieshu they saw that had died He from already and not they broke His legs [33]But when they came unto Jeshu, they saw that he was dead already, and they brake not his legs.
[34]But one of the soldiers struck Him in His side with a spear and at once issued forth blood and water [34]But one of the soldiers struck him in his side with the lance, and forthwith there came out blood and water.
[35]And he who saw testified and true was his testimony and he knows that the truth he spoke so that also you may believe [35]And he who SAW testifieth, and the truth is his testimony; and he knoweth that the truth he hath said, that you also may believe.
[36]These things for happened that should be fulfilled the scripture that says a bone not will be broken in Him [36]For these things were done, that the scripture might be fulfilled, which said, that, A bone shall not be broken in him.
[37]And again scripture another that says they shall gaze at Him Whom they pierced through [37]And again another scripture which said, They shall look upon him whom they pierced.
[38]After these things Joseph he who was from Ramtha sought from Pilatus because a disciple he was of Ieshu and secretly it was from fear of The Judeans that he might take the body of Ieshu and gave permission Pilatus and he came and took away His body [38]After these Jauseph, he who was of Rometha, begged of Pilatos, for he was a disciple of Jeshu, but secretly for fear of the Jihudoyee, that he might take the body of Jeshu: and Pilatos permitted. And he came and took the body of Jeshu.
[39]And came also Niqodemus he who come had from before to Ieshu in the night and brought with Him for Ieshu spices of Myrrh and Aloes about a hundred pounds [39]And Nikodimos also came, he who at first had come to Jeshu by night, and he brought with him a condiment of myrrh and aloes, as a hundred lithreen.
[40]And they took away the body of Ieshu and wrapped it in linen and in sweet spices just as is the custom to the Judeans for burying [40]And they took the body of Jeshu, and wrapped it in cloths and in balsams, as is the manner of the Jihudoyee to bury.
[41]Is there was but in that place was crucified in which Ieshu a garden and in it in the garden a house of burial new in which a man yet not laid had been in it [41]Now in that place where Jeshu was crucified was a garden, and in the garden a new sepulchre where one yet had not been laid.
[42]And they laid Him there Ieshu because the Sabbath approaching was and because near was the tomb [42]And they laid there Jeshu, because the shabath was coming in and the sepulchre was near.
