[1]And the whole congregation of the children of Israel came together at Shiloh: for they set up the tabernacle of the congregation there, after the land was subject unto them. |

[2]Now there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, to whom they had not divided their inheritance. |

[3]Therefore Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye so slack to enter and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers hath given you? |

[4]Give from among you for every tribe three men, that I may send them, and that they may rise, and walk through the land, and distribute it according to their inheritance, and return to me. |

[5]And that they may divide it unto them into seven parts, (Judah shall abide in his coast at the south, and the house of Joseph shall stand in their coasts at the north) |
| [6]Ye shall therefore describeH3789[H8799] the landH776 into sevenH7651 partsH2506, and bringH935[H8689] the description hither to me, that I may castH3384[H8804] lotsH1486 for you here beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 our GodH430. |
[6]Ye shall describe the land therefore into seven parts, and shall bring them hither to me, and I will cast lots for you here before the Lord our God. |

[7]But the Levites shall have no part among you: for the priesthood of the Lord is their inheritance: also Gad and Reuben and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance beyond Jordan eastward, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave them. |

[8]Then the men arose, and went their way: and Joshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying, Depart, and go through the land, and describe it, and return to me, that I may here cast lots for you before the Lord in Shiloh. |

[9]So the men departed, and passed through the land, and described it by cities into seven parts in a book, and returned to Joshua into the camp at Shiloh. |
| [10]And JoshuaH3091 castH7993[H8686] lotsH1486 for them in ShilohH7887 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068: and there JoshuaH3091 dividedH2505[H8762] the landH776 unto the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 according to their divisionsH4256. |
[10]Then Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the Lord, and there Joshua divided the land unto the children of Israel, according to their portions: |
| [11]And the lotH1486 of the tribeH4294 of the childrenH1121 of BenjaminH1144 came upH5927[H8799] according to their familiesH4940: and the coastH1366 of their lotH1486 came forthH3318[H8799] between the childrenH1121 of JudahH3063 and the childrenH1121 of JosephH3130. |
[11]And the lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came forth according to their families, and the coast of their lot lay between the children of Judah, and the children of Joseph. |
| [12]And their borderH1366 on the northH6828 sideH6285 was from JordanH3383; and the borderH1366 went upH5927[H8804] to the sideH3802 of JerichoH3405 on the northH6828 side, and went upH5927[H8804] through the mountainsH2022 westwardH3220; and the goings outH8444 thereof were at the wildernessH4057 of BethavenH1007. |
[12]And their coast on the north side was from Jordan, and the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north part, and went up through the mountains westward, and the ends thereof are in the wilderness of Beth-aven: |
| [13]And the borderH1366 went overH5674[H8804] from thence toward LuzH3870, to the sideH3802 of LuzH3870, which is BethelH1008, southwardH5045; and the borderH1366 descendedH3381[H8804] to AtarothadarH5853, near the hillH2022 that lieth on the south sideH5045 of the netherH8481 BethhoronH1032. |
[13]And this border goeth along from thence to Luz, even to the south side of Luz (the same is Beth-el) and this border descendeth to Ataroth-adar, near the mount, that lieth on the south side of Beth-horon the nether. |
| [14]And the borderH1366 was drawnH8388[H8804] thence, and compassedH5437[H8738] the cornerH6285 of the seaH3220 southwardH5045, from the hillH2022 that lieth beforeH6440 BethhoronH1032 southwardH5045; and the goings outH8444 thereof were at KirjathbaalH7154, which is KirjathjearimH7157, a cityH5892 of the childrenH1121 of JudahH3063: this was the westH3220 quarterH6285. |
[14]So the border turneth, and compasseth the corner of the sea southward, from the mount that lieth before Beth-horon southward: and the ends thereof are at Kirjath-baal (which is Kirjath-jearim) a city of the children of Judah: this is the west quarter. |
| [15]And the southH5045 quarterH6285 was from the endH7097 of KirjathjearimH7157, and the borderH1366 went outH3318[H8804] on the westH3220, and went outH3318[H8804] to the wellH4599 of watersH4325 of NephtoahH5318: |
[15]And the south quarter is from the end of Kirjath-jearim, and this border goeth out westward and cometh to the fountain of waters of Nephtoah. |
| [16]And the borderH1366 came downH3381[H8804] to the endH7097 of the mountainH2022 that lieth beforeH6440 the valleyH1516 of the sonH1121 of HinnomH2011, and which is in the valleyH6010 of the giantsH7497 on the northH6828, and descendedH3381[H8804] to the valleyH1516 of HinnomH2011, to the sideH3802 of JebusiH2983 on the southH5045, and descendedH3381[H8804] to EnrogelH5883, |
[16]And this border descendeth at the end of the mountain, that lieth before the valley of Ben-hinnom, which is in the valley of the giants northward, and descendeth into the valley of Hinnom by the side of Jebusi southward, and goeth down to En-rogel, |

[17]And compasseth from the north, and goeth forth to En-shemesh, and stretcheth to Geliloth, which is toward the going up unto Adummim, and goeth down to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben. |
| [18]And passed alongH5674[H8804] toward the sideH3802 over againstH4136 ArabahH6160 northwardH6828, and went downH3381[H8804] unto ArabahH6160: |
[18]So it goeth along to the side over against the plain northward, and goeth down into the plain. |
| [19]And the borderH1366 passed alongH5674[H8804] to the sideH3802 of BethhoglahH1031 northwardH6828: and the outgoingsH8444 of the borderH1366 were at the northH6828 bayH3956 of the saltH4417 seaH3220 at the southH5045 endH7097 of JordanH3383: this was the southH5045 coastH1366. |
[19]After, this border goeth along to the side of Beth-hoglah northward: and the ends thereof, that is, of the border, reach to the point of the salt sea northward, and to the end of Jordan southward: this is the south coast. |
| [20]And JordanH3383 was the borderH1379[H8799] of it on the eastH6924 sideH6285. This was the inheritanceH5159 of the childrenH1121 of BenjaminH1144, by the coastsH1367 thereof round aboutH5439, according to their familiesH4940. |
[20]Also Jordan is the border of it on the east side: this is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin by the coasts thereof round about according to their families. |
| [21]Now the citiesH5892 of the tribeH4294 of the childrenH1121 of BenjaminH1144 according to their familiesH4940 were JerichoH3405, and BethhoglahH1031, and the valleyH6010 of KezizH7104, |
[21]Now the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin according to their families are Jericho, and Beth-hoglah, and the valley of Keziz, |

[22]And Beth-arabah, and Zemaraim, and Beth-el, |

[28]And Zela, Eleph, and Jebusi, (which is Jerusalem) Gibeath, and Kirjath: fourteen cities with their villages: this is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families. |
