[1]And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, |
| [2]Again, thou shalt sayH559[H8799] to the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, WhosoeverH376 he be of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, or of the strangersH1616 that sojournH1481[H8802] in IsraelH3478, that givethH5414[H8799] any of his seedH2233 unto MolechH4432; he shall surelyH4191[H8800] be put to deathH4191[H8714]: the peopleH5971 of the landH776 shall stoneH7275[H8799] him with stonesH68. |
[2]Thou shalt say also to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that dwell in Israel, that giveth his children unto Molech, he shall die the death, the people of the land shall stone him to death. |
| [3]And I will setH5414[H8799] my faceH6440 against that manH376, and will cut him offH3772[H8689] from amongH7130 his peopleH5971; because he hath givenH5414[H8804] of his seedH2233 unto MolechH4432, to defileH2930[H8763] my sanctuaryH4720, and to profaneH2490[H8763] my holyH6944 nameH8034. |
[3]And I will set my face against that man and cut him off from among his people, because he hath given his children unto Molech, for to defile my sanctuary, and to pollute mine holy name. |
| [4]And if the peopleH5971 of the landH776 do any waysH5956[H8687] hideH5956[H8686] their eyesH5869 from the manH376, when he givethH5414[H8800] of his seedH2233 unto MolechH4432, and killH4191[H8687] him notH1115: |
[4]And if the people of the land hide their eyes, and wink at that man when he giveth his children unto Molech, and kill him not, |
| [5]Then I will setH7760[H8804] my faceH6440 against that manH376, and against his familyH4940, and will cut him offH3772[H8689], and all that go a whoringH2181[H8802] afterH310 him, to commit whoredomH2181[H8800] with MolechH4432, from amongH7130 their peopleH5971. |
[5]Then will I set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people. |
| [6]And the soulH5315 that turnethH6437[H8799] afterH413 such as have familiar spiritsH178, and afterH310 wizardsH3049, to go a whoringH2181[H8800] afterH310 them, I will even setH5414[H8804] my faceH6440 against that soulH5315, and will cut him offH3772[H8689] from amongH7130 his peopleH5971. |
[6]If any turn after such as work with spirits, and after soothsayers, to go a whoring after them, then will I set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people. |
| [7]SanctifyH6942[H8694] yourselves therefore, and be ye holyH6918: for I am the LORDH3068 your GodH430. |
[7]Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God. |
| [8]And ye shall keepH8104[H8804] my statutesH2708, and doH6213[H8804] them: I am the LORDH3068 which sanctifyH6942 youH8764. |
[8]Keep ye therefore mine ordinances, and do them. I am the Lord which doth sanctify you. |
| [9]For everyH376 oneH376 that cursethH7043[H8762] his fatherH1 or his motherH517 shall be surelyH4191[H8800] put to deathH4191[H8714]: he hath cursedH7043[H8765] his fatherH1 or his motherH517; his blood shall be upon himH1818. |
[9]If there be any that curseth his father or his mother, he shall die the death: seeing he hath cursed his father and his mother, his blood shall be upon him. |
| [10]And the manH376 that committeth adulteryH5003[H8799] with another man'sH376 wifeH802, even he that committeth adulteryH5003[H8799] with his neighbour'sH7453 wifeH802, the adultererH5003[H8802] and the adulteressH5003[H8802] shall surelyH4191[H8800] be put to deathH4191.[H8714] |
[10]And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, because he hath committed adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall die the death. |
| [11]And the manH376 that liethH7901[H8799] with his father'sH1 wifeH802 hath uncoveredH1540[H8765] his father'sH1 nakednessH6172: bothH8147 of them shall surelyH4191[H8800] be put to deathH4191[H8714]; their blood shall be upon themH1818. |
[11]And the man that lieth with his father's wife , because he hath uncovered his father's shame, they shall both die: their blood shall be upon them. |
| [12]And if a manH376 lieH7901[H8799] with his daughter in lawH3618, bothH8147 of them shall surelyH4191[H8800] be put to deathH4191[H8714]: they have wroughtH6213[H8804] confusionH8397; their blood shall be upon themH1818. |
[12]Also the man that lieth with his daughter in law, they both shall die the death, they have wrought abomination, their blood shall be upon them. |
| [13]If a manH376 also lieH7901[H8799] with mankindH2145, as he liethH4904 with a womanH802, bothH8147 of them have committedH6213[H8804] an abominationH8441: they shall surelyH4191[H8800] be put to deathH4191[H8714]; their blood shall be upon themH1818. |
[13]The man also that lieth with the male, as one lieth with a woman, they have both committed abomination: they shall die the death, their blood shall be upon them. |
| [14]And if a manH376 takeH3947[H8799] a wifeH802 and her motherH517, it is wickednessH2154: they shall be burntH8313[H8799] with fireH784, both he and they; that there be no wickednessH2154 among youH8432. |
[14]Likewise he that taketh a wife and her mother, committeth wickedness: they shall burn him and them with fire, that there be no wickedness among you. |
| [15]And if a manH376 lieH5414[H8799][H7903] with a beastH929, he shall surelyH4191[H8800] be put to deathH4191[H8714]: and ye shall slayH2026[H8799] the beastH929. |
[15]Also the man that lieth with a beast, shall die the death, and ye shall slay the beast. |
| [16]And if a womanH802 approachH7126[H8799] unto any beastH929, and lie downH7250[H8800] thereto, thou shalt killH2026[H8804] the womanH802, and the beastH929: they shall surelyH4191[H8800] be put to deathH4191[H8714]; their blood shall be upon themH1818. |
[16]And if a woman come to any beast, and lie therewith, then thou shalt kill the woman and the beast: they shall die the death, their blood shall be upon them. |
| [17]And if a manH376 shall takeH3947[H8799] his sisterH269, his father'sH1 daughterH1323, orH176 his mother'sH517 daughterH1323, and seeH7200[H8804] her nakednessH6172, and she seeH7200[H8799] his nakednessH6172; it is a wicked thingH2617; and they shall be cut offH3772[H8738] in the sightH5869 of their peopleH5971[H1121]: he hath uncoveredH1540[H8765] his sister'sH269 nakednessH6172; he shall bearH5375[H8799] his iniquityH5771. |
[17]Also the man that taketh his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and seeth her shame and she seeth his shame, it is villainy: therefore they shall be cut off in the sight of their people, because he hath uncovered his sister's shame, he shall bear his iniquity. |
| [18]And if a manH376 shall lieH7901[H8799] with a womanH802 having her sicknessH1739, and shall uncoverH1540[H8765] her nakednessH6172; he hath discoveredH6168[H8689] her fountainH4726, and she hath uncoveredH1540[H8765] the fountainH4726 of her bloodH1818: and bothH8147 of them shall be cut offH3772[H8738] from amongH7130 their peopleH5971. |
[18]The man also that lieth with a woman having her disease, and uncovereth her shame, and openeth her fountain, and she open the fountain of her blood, they shall be even both cut off from among their people. |
| [19]And thou shalt not uncoverH1540[H8762] the nakednessH6172 of thy mother'sH517 sisterH269, nor of thy father'sH1 sisterH269: for he uncoverethH6168[H8689] his near kinH7607: they shall bearH5375[H8799] their iniquityH5771. |
[19]Moreover thou shalt not uncover the shame of thy mother's sister, nor of thy father's sister: because he hath uncovered his kin, they shall bear their iniquity. |
| [20]And if a manH376 shall lieH7901[H8799] with his uncle's wifeH1733, he hath uncoveredH1540[H8765] his uncle'sH1730 nakednessH6172: they shall bearH5375[H8799] their sinH2399; they shall dieH4191[H8799] childlessH6185. |
[20]Likewise the man that lieth with his father's brother's wife, and uncovereth his uncle's shame: they shall bear their iniquity , and shall die childless. |
| [21]And if a manH376 shall takeH3947[H8799] his brother'sH251 wifeH802, it is an unclean thingH5079: he hath uncoveredH1540[H8765] his brother'sH251 nakednessH6172; they shall be childlessH6185. |
[21]So the man that taketh his brother's wife, committeth filthiness, because he hath uncovered his brother's shame: they shall be childless. |
| [22]Ye shall therefore keepH8104[H8804] all my statutesH2708, and all my judgmentsH4941, and doH6213[H8804] them: that the landH776, whither I bringH935[H8688] you to dwellH3427[H8800] therein, spue you not outH6958.[H8686] |
[22]Ye shall keep therefore all mine ordinances and all my judgments, and do them, that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spew you not out. |
| [23]And ye shall not walkH3212[H8799] in the mannersH2708 of the nationH1471, which I cast outH7971[H8764] beforeH6440 you: for they committedH6213[H8804] all these things, and therefore I abhorredH6973 themH8799. |
[23]Wherefore ye shall not walk in the manners of this nation which I cast out before you: for they have committed all these things, therefore I abhorred them. |
| [24]But I have saidH559[H8799] unto you, Ye shall inheritH3423[H8799] their landH127, and I will giveH5414[H8799] it unto you to possessH3423[H8800] it, a landH776 that flowethH2100[H8802] with milkH2461 and honeyH1706: I am the LORDH3068 your GodH430, which have separatedH914[H8689] you from other peopleH5971. |
[24]But I have said unto you, ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, even a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the Lord your God, which have separated you from other people. |
| [25]Ye shall therefore put differenceH914[H8689] between cleanH2889 beastsH929 and uncleanH2931, and between uncleanH2931 fowlsH5775 and cleanH2889: and ye shall not make your soulsH5315 abominableH8262[H8762] by beastH929, or by fowlH5775, or by any manner of living thing that creepethH7430[H8799] on the groundH127, which I have separatedH914[H8689] from you as uncleanH2930.[H8763] |
[25]Therefore shall ye put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: neither shall ye defile yourselves with beasts and fowls, nor with any creeping thing, that the ground bringeth forth, which I have separated from you as unclean. |
| [26]And ye shall be holyH6918 unto me: for I the LORDH3068 am holyH6918, and have severedH914[H8686] you from other people, that ye should be mineH5971. |
[26]Therefore shall ye be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and I have separated you from other people, that ye should be mine. |
| [27]A manH376 also or womanH802 that hathH3588 a familiar spiritH178, or that is a wizardH3049, shall surelyH4191[H8800] be put to deathH4191[H8714]: they shall stoneH7275[H8799] them with stonesH68: their blood shall be upon themH1818. |
[27]And if a man or woman have a spirit of divination, or soothsaying in them, they shall die the death: they shall stone them to death, their blood shall be upon them. |
