| [1]And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, Comaunde thou to the sones of Israel, |
[1]καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς μωυσῆν λέγων |
| [2]that thei brynge to thee oile of olyues, pureste oile, and briyt, to the lanternes to be ordeyned contynueli with out the veil of witnessyng, |
[2]ἔντειλαι τοῖς υἱοῖς ισραηλ καὶ λαβέτωσάν μοι ἔλαιον ἐλάινον καθαρὸν κεκομμένον εἰς φῶς καῦσαι λύχνον διὰ παντός |
| [3]in the tabernacle of boond of pees; and Aaron schal araye tho lanternes fro euentid `til to euentid bifor the Lord, bi religioun and custom euerlastynge in youre generaciouns; |
[3]ἔξωθεν τοῦ καταπετάσματος ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου καύσουσιν αὐτὸν ααρων καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ ἑσπέρας ἕως πρωὶ ἐνώπιον κυρίου ἐνδελεχῶς νόμιμον αἰώνιον εἰς τὰς γενεὰς ὑμῶν |
| [4]tho schulen be set euere on a clenneste candilstike in the siyt of the Lord. |
[4]ἐπὶ τῆς λυχνίας τῆς καθαρᾶς καύσετε τοὺς λύχνους ἔναντι κυρίου ἕως τὸ πρωί |
| [5]Also thou schalt take wheete flour, and thou schalt bake therof twelue looues, which schulen haue ech bi hem silf twei tenthe partis, |
[5]καὶ λήμψεσθε σεμίδαλιν καὶ ποιήσετε αὐτὴν δώδεκα ἄρτους δύο δεκάτων ἔσται ὁ ἄρτος ὁ εἷς |
| [6]of whiche thou schalt sette sexe on euer eithir side, on a clenneste boord bifor the Lord; |
[6]καὶ ἐπιθήσετε αὐτοὺς δύο θέματα ἓξ ἄρτους τὸ ἓν θέμα ἐπὶ τὴν τράπεζαν τὴν καθαρὰν ἔναντι κυρίου |
| [7]and thou schalt sette clereste encense on tho looues, that the looues be in to mynde of offryng of the Lord; |
[7]καὶ ἐπιθήσετε ἐπὶ τὸ θέμα λίβανον καθαρὸν καὶ ἅλα καὶ ἔσονται εἰς ἄρτους εἰς ἀνάμνησιν προκείμενα τῷ κυρίῳ |
| [8]bi ech sabat tho schulen be chaungid bifor the Lord, and schulen be takun of the sones of Israel bi euerlastynge boond of pees; |
[8]τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῶν σαββάτων προθήσεται ἔναντι κυρίου διὰ παντὸς ἐνώπιον τῶν υἱῶν ισραηλ διαθήκην αἰώνιον |
| [9]and tho schulen be Aarons and hise sones, that thei ete tho in the hooli place, for it is hooli of the noumbre of hooli thingis, of the sacrifices of the Lord, bi euerlastynge lawe. |
[9]καὶ ἔσται ααρων καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ φάγονται αὐτὰ ἐν τόπῳ ἁγίῳ ἔστιν γὰρ ἅγια τῶν ἁγίων τοῦτο αὐτῷ ἀπὸ τῶν θυσιαζομένων τῷ κυρίῳ νόμιμον αἰώνιον |
| [10]Lo! forsothe the sone of a womman of Israel, whom sche childide of a man Egipcian, yede out among the sones of Israel, and chidde in the castels with a man of Israel, |
[10]καὶ ἐξῆλθεν υἱὸς γυναικὸς ισραηλίτιδος καὶ οὗτος ἦν υἱὸς αἰγυπτίου ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς ισραηλ καὶ ἐμαχέσαντο ἐν τῇ παρεμβολῇ ὁ ἐκ τῆς ισραηλίτιδος καὶ ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὁ ισραηλίτης |
| [11]and whanne he hadde blasfemyd the name of the Lord, and hadde cursid the Lord, he was brouyt to Moises; forsothe his modir was clepid Salumyth, the douytir of Dabry, of the lynage of Dan; |
[11]καὶ ἐπονομάσας ὁ υἱὸς τῆς γυναικὸς τῆς ισραηλίτιδος τὸ ὄνομα κατηράσατο καὶ ἤγαγον αὐτὸν πρὸς μωυσῆν καὶ τὸ ὄνομα τῆς μητρὸς αὐτοῦ σαλωμιθ θυγάτηρ δαβρι ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς δαν |
| [12]and thei senten hym to prisoun, til thei wisten what the Lord comaundide. |
[12]καὶ ἀπέθεντο αὐτὸν εἰς φυλακὴν διακρῖναι αὐτὸν διὰ προστάγματος κυρίου |
| [13]And the Lord spak to Moises and seide, |
[13]καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς μωυσῆν λέγων |
| [14]Lede out the blasfemere without the castels, and alle men that herden, sette her hondis on his heed, and al the puple stone hym. |
[14]ἐξάγαγε τὸν καταρασάμενον ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν πάντες οἱ ἀκούσαντες τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ λιθοβολήσουσιν αὐτὸν πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγή |
| [15]And thou schalt speke to the sones of Israel, A man that cursith his God, |
[15]καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς ισραηλ λάλησον καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς ἄνθρωπος ὃς ἐὰν καταράσηται θεόν ἁμαρτίαν λήμψεται |
| [16]schal bere his synne, and he that blasfemeth the name of the Lord, die bi deeth; al the multitude of the puple schal oppresse hym with stoonus, whether he that blasfemede the name of the Lord is a citeseyn, whether a pilgrym, die he bi deeth. |
[16]ὀνομάζων δὲ τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου θανάτῳ θανατούσθω λίθοις λιθοβολείτω αὐτὸν πᾶσα συναγωγὴ ισραηλ ἐάν τε προσήλυτος ἐάν τε αὐτόχθων ἐν τῷ ὀνομάσαι αὐτὸν τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου τελευτάτω |
| [17]He that smytith and sleeth a man, die bi deeth; |
[17]καὶ ἄνθρωπος ὃς ἂν πατάξῃ ψυχὴν ἀνθρώπου καὶ ἀποθάνῃ θανάτῳ θανατούσθω |
| [18]he that smytith a beeste, yelde oon in his stide, that is, lijf for lijf. |
[18]καὶ ὃς ἂν πατάξῃ κτῆνος καὶ ἀποθάνῃ ἀποτεισάτω ψυχὴν ἀντὶ ψυχῆς |
| [19]If a man yyueth a wem to ony of hise citeseyns, as he dide, so be it don to him; |
[19]καὶ ἐάν τις δῷ μῶμον τῷ πλησίον ὡς ἐποίησεν αὐτῷ ὡσαύτως ἀντιποιηθήσεται αὐτῷ |
| [20]he schal restore brekyng for brekyng, iye for iye, tooth for tooth; what maner wem he yaf, he schal be compellid to suffre sich a wem. |
[20]σύντριμμα ἀντὶ συντρίμματος ὀφθαλμὸν ἀντὶ ὀφθαλμοῦ ὀδόντα ἀντὶ ὀδόντος καθότι ἂν δῷ μῶμον τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ οὕτως δοθήσεται αὐτῷ |
| [21]He that smytith werk beeste, yeelde another; he that smytith a man, schal be punyschid. |
[21]ὃς ἂν πατάξῃ ἄνθρωπον καὶ ἀποθάνῃ θανάτῳ θανατούσθω |
| [22]Euene doom be among you, whether a pilgrym ethir a citeseyn synneth, for Y am youre Lord God. |
[22]δικαίωσις μία ἔσται τῷ προσηλύτῳ καὶ τῷ ἐγχωρίῳ ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν |
| [23]And Moyses spak to the sones of Israel, and thei brouyten forth out of the castels hym that blasfemede, and oppressiden with stoonus. And the sones of Israel diden, as the Lord comaundide to Moyses. |
[23]καὶ ἐλάλησεν μωυσῆς τοῖς υἱοῖς ισραηλ καὶ ἐξήγαγον τὸν καταρασάμενον ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς καὶ ἐλιθοβόλησαν αὐτὸν ἐν λίθοις καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ ισραηλ ἐποίησαν καθὰ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ μωυσῇ |
