[1]After these things appointed Ieshu from His disciples another seventy and he sent them two by two before His face to every place and city where prepared He was to go |
[1]AFTER these Jeshu separated from his disciples seventy others, and sent them by two and two before his face to every place and city whither he was himself to come. |
[2]And He said to them the harvest is great and the workers few pray therefore from The Lord of the harvest to send workers to His harvest |
[2]And he said to them, The harvest is great, but the labourers [are] few; pray therefore from the Lord of the harvest to send forth labourers into his harvest. |
[3]Go behold I sending am you as sheep among wolves |
[3]Go; behold, I send you as sheep among wolves. |
[4]Not you shall take for you moneybags neither wallets nor sandals and the peace of a man on the road not you shall invoke |
[4]Take with you neither purses, nor bags, nor sandals, neither with the salutation [shaloma] shall you salute any man in the way. |
[5]And to whatever house enter you first say peace to house this |
[5]But into whatever house you enter, first say, Peace to the house!ⓘ |
[6]And if is there a son of peace shall rest upon it your peace if but not unto you it will return |
[6]And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall descend upon him; but if not, your peace upon you shall return. |
[7]In it but in the house stay while eating you are and drinking from what is theirs worthy is for the worker of his fare and not move from house to house |
[7]But in that house be, eating and drinking of theirs: for worthy is the labourer of his hire. And remove not from house to house. |
[8]And whatever city enter you and they receive you eat anything that is offered to you |
[8]And into whatever city you enter and they receive you, eat such things as are set to you. |
[9]And heal those who are sick in it and say to them has come near unto you the Kingdom of Alaha |
[9]And heal those who are sick, and say to them, There hath drawn nigh upon you the kingdom of Aloha. |
[10]Whichever city but enter you and not they will receive you go out you to the street and say |
[10]But if any city which you enter will not receive you, go you out into the street and say, |
[11]Also the sand that cleaves to us on our feet from your city wipe off we to you yet this know that has come near it unto you the Kingdom of Alaha |
[11]Even the dust which cleaveth to our feet from your city we shake off against you; nevertheless know this, that hath come nigh upon you the kingdom of Aloha. |
[12]Say I to you that for Sodom it shall be pleasant in day that compared to city that |
[12]I tell you that for Sadum it shall be more tolerable in that day than for that city. |
[13]Woe! to you Korazin woe! to you Bayth-Tsayda because if in Tsur and in Tsidon had occurred the miracles that have occurred in you of old but in sackcloth and in ashes they would have repented |
[13]Woe to thee, Kurazin! woe to thee, Bethtsaida! for if in Tsur and Tsaidon had been wrought the miracles which were wrought in you, now long since in sackcloth and in ashes would they have repented. |
[14]Yet for Tsur and for Tsidon it shall be better in the judgment than for you |
[14]Nevertheless for Tsur and for Tsaidon it shall be more tolerable in the day of the judgment, than for you. |
[15]And you Kapernakhum she that unto Heaven was exalted unto Sheol you shall be debased |
[15]And thou, Kapher-nachum, which unto heaven art lifted up, unto Shiul shalt thou be abased. |
[16]Whoever to you listens to Me listens and whoever you rejects Me that one rejects and whoever Me rejects rejects Him Who has sent Me |
[16]He that you heareth, me heareth; and he who you rejecteth, me he rejecteth; and he who me rejecteth, he rejecteth him who sent me. |
[17]And returned those seventy whom He had sent in joy great and they were saying to Him our Lord even the demons are subject to us in Your Name |
[17]And the seventy whom he had sent, returned with great joy, saying to him, Our Lord, the demons also are subjected to us through thy name. |
[18]He but said to them beholding I was himself Satan who fell like lightning from Heaven |
[18]Then he said to them, I saw him, Satana, when he fell as lightning from heaven. |
[19]Behold have given I to you authority that you may tread on snakes and scorpions and all the power of the enemy and a thing not shall harm you |
[19]Behold, I give you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and all the strength of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. |
[20]However in this not you should rejoice that demons are subject to you but rejoice that your names are written in Heaven |
[20]Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the demons are subject to you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. |
[21]In it in the hour exulted Ieshu in the Spirit of Holiness and He said thank I You My Father the Lord of Heaven and of the earth that You have hidden these things from the wise and the learned and have revealed them to infants yes My Father for thus it was the will before You |
[21]In that hour Jeshu exulted in the Holy Spirit, and said, I praise thee, my Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and the intellectual, and hast revealed them unto children. Yes, my Father, for so was thy will.ⓘ |
[22]And He turned to His disciples and He said to them every thing has been delivered to Me from My Father and no man knows Who is the Son but only The Father and Who is The Father but only The Son and he to whomever will be pleased The Son to reveal |
[22]And he turned to his disciples, and said to them, Every thing is delivered to me by my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is but the Father; and who the Father is but the Son, and he to whom the Son willeth to reveal. |
[23]And He turned to His disciples by themselves and He said blessed are those eyes that are seeing whatever you are seeing |
[23]And he turned to his disciples by themselves, and said, Blessed are your eyes because they see what you see; |
[24]Say I to you for that prophets many and kings have desired to see the thing that seeing you are and not they have seen them and to hear the things that you are hearing and not they have heard |
[24]For I tell you that prophets many and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard. |
[25]And behold scribe one arose to test Him and he said Teacher what? shall I do to inherit life eternal |
[25]AND, behold, a certain Sophra stood up to try him, saying, Malphona, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life? |
[26]He but Ieshu said to him in the law how? is it written how? read you |
[26]But Jeshu said to him, In the law how is it written, how readest thou? |
[27]He answered and he said to Him you shall love the Lord the Lord your Alaha from all your heart and from all your soul and from all your strength and from all your mind and your neighbor as yourself |
[27]He answered and said to him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy Aloha withⓘ all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind, and thy neighbour as thyself, |
[28]Said to him Ieshu correctly you have said this do and you shall live |
[28]Jeshu said to him, Thou hast said correctly. This do, and thou shalt live. |
[29]He but as he wanted to justify himself he said to Him and who is? my neighbor |
[29]But he, willing to justify himself, said to him, And who is my neighbour? |
[30]Said to him Ieshu a man certain going down was from Jerusalem to Jeirikho and fell upon him robbers and they plundered him and beat him and left him when a little remained in him life and they departed |
[30]Jeshu saith to him, A certain man went down from Urishlem to Jerichu, and fell among robbers, who stripped him and wounded him, and left him with little life subsisting in him, and went. |
[31]And it happened priest a certain going down was road that and he saw him and he passed by |
[31]And a certain priest happened to go down by that way, and he saw him and passed over. |
[32]And thus also a Levite coming arrived at that place and he saw him and he passed by |
[32]And likewise also a Levoia, being come to that place, beheld him, and passed over. |
[33]A man but Samaritan as traveled he he came where was he and he saw him and took pity on him |
[33]But a man, a Shomroya, while he journeyed, came where he was, and saw him, and had compassion on him, |
[34]And he came and bound his wounds and poured on them wine and oil and set him on his donkey and took him to an inn and cared he for him |
[34]And went near, and bound up his wounds, and poured in upon them wine and oil, and set him upon his ass, and brought him to the inn, and was anxious for him. |
[35]And at the break of day he produced two denarii he gave to the inn keeper and he said to him take care of him and if anything more you spend whenever return I shall give it I to you |
[35]And on the morning of the day, he took out two dinoreen, gave to the host, and said to him, Take care of him; and if more thou layest out, when I return I will give to thee. |
[36]Who is it? therefore of these three appears to you that he was a neighbor to him who fell into the hands of the robbers |
[36]Which therefore of these three doth it appear to thee was neighbour to him who fell into the hands of the thieves? |
[37]He but said he who took pity upon him said to him Ieshu go also you likewise you be doing |
[37]And he said, He who had compassion on him. Jeshu saith to him, Go thou also and do likewise. |
[38]And it was that when they were traveling on a road He entered village a certain and woman whose name Martha received Him into her house |
[38]AND it was that as they went in the way, he entered into a certain village, and a woman whose name was Martha received him into her house. |
[39]And there was to her a sister whose name Maryam and she came she sat herself at the feet of our Lord and listening to she was His words |
[39]And she had a sister whose name was Mariam, and she came, sat at the feet of our Lord, and heard his words. |
[40]Martha but busy was with serving many things and she came and said to Him my Lord not? does it concern You that My sister has left me alone to serve tell her to help me |
[40]But Martha was occupied with much serving. And she came and said to him, My Lord, carest thou not that my sister leave me alone to serve? Tell her to help me. |
[41]Answered but Ieshu and He said to her Martha Martha you take pains and are troubled about many things |
[41]Jeshu answered and said to her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and disturbed about many, |
[42]One thing is but necessary Maryam and the part good has chosen for herself that which not will be taken from her |
[42]But [there] is the one that is needed. And Mariam the good portion hath chosen, that which shall not be taken from her. |
