| [1]אמר להונ דינ אפ מתלא דבכל עדנ נצלונ ולא תמאנ להונ |
[1]And he spake also a parable unto them, to this end, that they ought always to pray, and not to wax faint, |
| [2]דינא חד אית הוא במדינתא חדא דמנ אלהא לא דחל הוא ומנ בנינשׁא לא מתכחד הוא |
[2]Saying, There was a judge in a certain city, which feared not God, neither reverenced man. |
| [3]ארמלתא דינ חדא אית הות במדינתא הי ואתיא הות לותה ואמרא תבעיני מנ בעל דיני |
[3]And there was a widow in that city, which came unto him, saying, Do me justice against mine adversary. |
| [4]ולא צבא הוא זבנא סגיאא בתרכנ דינ אמר בנפשׁה אנ מנ אלהא לא דחל אנא ומנ בנינשׁא לא מתכחד אנא |
[4]And he would not for a time: but afterward he said with himself, Though I fear not God, nor reverence man, |
| [5]אפנ מטל דמלאיא לי הדא ארמלתא אתבעיה דלא בכל עדנ תהוא אתיא מהרא לי |
[5]Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will do her right, lest at the last she come and make me weary. |
| [6]ואמר מרנ שׁמעו מנא אמר דינא דעולא |
[6]And the Lord said, Hear what the unrighteous judge saith. |
| [7]אלהא דינ לא יתיראית נעבד תבעתא לגבוהי דקרינ לה באיממא ובלליא ומגר רוחה עליהונ |
[7]Now shall not God avenge his elect, which cry day and night unto him, yea, though he suffer long for them? |
| [8]אמר אנא לכונ דנעבד תבעתהונ בעגל ברמ נאתא ברה דאנשׁא ונשׁכח כי הימנותא על ארעא |
[8]I tell you he will avenge them quickly: but when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? |
| [9]ואמר הוא מתלא הנא לוקבל אנשׁא אילינ דתכילינ על נפשׁהונ דאיתיהונ זדיקא ובסינ על כל אנשׁ |
[9]� He spake also this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were just, and despised other, |
| [10]תרינ גברינ סלקו להיכלא למצליו חד פרישׁא ואחרנא מכסא |
[10]Two men went up into the Temple to pray: the one a Pharisee, and the other a Publican. |
| [11]והו פרישׁא קאמ הוא בינוהי לנפשׁה והלינ מצלא הוא אלהא מודא אנא לכ דלא הוית איכ שׁרכא דאנשׁא חטופא ועלובא וגירא ולא איכ הנא מכסא |
[11]The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, O God, I thank thee that I am not as other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this Publican. |
| [12]אלא צאמ אנא תרינ בשׁבתא ומעסר אנא כל מדמ דקנא אנא |
[12]I fast twice in the week: I give tithe of all that ever I possess. |
| [13]הו דינ מכסא קאמ הוא מנ רוחקא ולא צבא הוא אפ לא עינוהי נרימ לשׁמיא אלא טרפ הוא על חדיה ואמר אלהא חוניני לחטיא |
[13]But the Publican standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but smote his breast, saying, O God, be merciful to me a sinner. |
| [14]אמר אנא לכונ דנחת הנא מזדק לביתה יתיר מנ הו פרישׁא כל אנשׁ גיר דנרימ נפשׁה נתמככ וכל מנ דנמכ נפשׁה נתתרימ |
[14]I tell you, this man departed to his house justified, rather than the other: for every man that exalteth himself, shall be brought low, and he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted. |
| [15]קרבו הוו לה דינ אפ ילודא דנקרוב להונ וחזו אנונ תלמידוהי וכאו בהונ |
[15]� They brought unto him also babes, that he should touch them. And when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them. |
| [16]הו דינ ישׁוע קרא אנונ ואמר להונ שׁבוקו טליא אתינ לותי ולא תכלונ אנונ דדאילינ גיר דאיכ הלינ אנונ דילהונ הי מלכותא דשׁמיא |
[16]But Jesus called them unto him and said, Suffer the babes to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. |
| [17]אמינ אמר אנא לכונ דמנ דלא נקבל מלכותא דאלהא איכ טליא לא נעול לה |
[17]Verily I say unto you, whosoever receiveth not the kingdom of God as a babe, he shall not enter therein. |
| [18]ושׁאלה חד מנ רשׁנא ואמר לה מלפנא טבא מנא אעבד דארת חיא דלעלמ |
[18]Then a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good master, what ought I to do, to inherit eternal life? |
| [19]אמר לה ישׁוע מנא קרא אנת לי טבא לית טבא אלא אנ חד אלהא |
[19]And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? None is good, save one, even God. |
| [20]פוקדנא ידע אנת לא תקטול ולא תגור ולא תגנוב לא תסהד סהדותא דשׁוקרא יקר לאבוכ ולאמכ |
[20]Thou knowest the commandments, Thou shalt not commit adultery: Thou shalt not kill: Thou shalt not steal: Thou shalt not bear false witness: Honor thy father and thy mother. |
| [21]אמר לה הלינ כלהינ נטרת אנינ מנ טליותי |
[21]And he said, All these have I kept from my youth. |
| [22]כד שׁמע דינ ישׁוע אמר לה חדא חסירא לכ זל זבנ כל מדמ דאית לכ והב למסכנא ותהוא לכ סימתא בשׁמיא ותא בתרי |
[22]Now when Jesus heard that, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing. Sell all that ever thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven, and come follow me. |
| [23]הו דינ כד שׁמע הלינ כרית לה עתיר הוא גיר טב |
[23]But when he heard those things, he was very heavy: for he was marvelous rich. |
| [24]וכד חזא ישׁוע דכרית לה אמר איכנא עטלא לאילינ דאית להונ נכסא דנעלונ למלכותה דאלהא |
[24]And when Jesus saw him sorrowful, he said, With what difficulty shall they that have riches, enter into the kingdom of God? |
| [25]דלילא הי לגמלא דבחרורא דמחטא נעול או עתירא למלכותה דאלהא |
[25]Surely it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. |
| [26]אמרינ לה אילינ דשׁמעו ומנו משׁכח למחא |
[26]Then said they that heard it, And who then can be saved? |
| [27]ישׁוע דינ אמר אילינ דלות בנינשׁא לא משׁכחנ לות אלהא משׁכחנ למהוא |
[27]And he said, The things which are impossible with men, are possible with God. |
| [28]אמר לה שׁמעונ כאפא הא חננ שׁבקנ כל מדמ ואתינ בתרכ |
[28]� Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. |
| [29]אמר לה ישׁוע אמינ אמר אנא לכונ דלית אנשׁ דשׁבק בתא או אבהא או אחא או אנתתא או בניא מטל מלכותא דאלהא |
[29]And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, there is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children for the kingdom of God's sake, |
| [30]ולא נקבל באעפא סגיאא בהנא זבנא ובעלמא דאתא חיא דלעלמ |
[30]Which shall not receive much more in this world, and in the world to come life everlasting. |
| [31]ודבר ישׁוע לתרעסרתה ואמר להונ הא סלקינ חננ לאורשׁלמ ומשׁתלמנ כלהינ דכתיבנ בנביא על ברה דאנשׁא |
[31]� Then Jesus took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things shall be fulfilled to the Son of man, that are written by the Prophets. |
| [32]נשׁתלמ גיר לעממא ונבזחונ בה ונרקונ באפוהי |
[32]For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and shall be spitefully entreated, and shall be spitted on. |
| [33]וננגדוניהי ונצערוניהי ונקטלוניהי וליומא דתלתא נקומ |
[33]And when they have scourged him, they will put him to death: but the third day he shall rise again. |
| [34]הנונ דינ חדא מנ הלינ לא אסתכלו אלא מכסיא הות מנהונ מלתא הדא ולא ידעינ הוו הלינ דמתמללנ עמהונ |
[34]But they understood none of these things, and this saying was hid from them, neither perceived they the things, which were spoken. |
| [35]וכד קריב לאיריחו סמיא חד יתב הוא על יד אורחא וחדר |
[35]� And it came to pass, that as he was come near unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side, begging. |
| [36]ושׁמע קל כנשׁא דעבר ומשׁאל הוא דמנו הנא |
[36]And when he heard the people pass by, he asked what it meant. |
| [37]אמרינ לה ישׁוע נצריא עבר |
[37]And they said unto him, that Jesus of Nazareth passed by. |
| [38]וקעא ואמר ישׁוע ברה דדויד אתרחמ עלי |
[38]Then he cried, saying, Jesus the Son of David, have mercy on me. |
| [39]ואילינ דאזלינ הוו קדמוהי דישׁוע כאינ הוו בה דנשׁתוק הו דינ יתיראית קעא הוא ברה דדויד אתרחמ עלי |
[39]And they which went before, rebuked him, that he should hold his peace, but he cried much more, O Son of David, have mercy on me. |
| [40]וקמ ישׁוע ופקד דנקרוניהי לותה וכד קרב לותה שׁאלה |
[40]And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be brought unto him. And when he was come near, he asked him, |
| [41]ואמר לה מנא צבא אנת אעבד לכ הו דינ אמר מרי דאחזא |
[41]Saying, What wilt thou that I do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. |
| [42]וישׁוע אמר לה חזי הימנותכ אחיתכ |
[42]And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee. |
| [43]וברשׁעתה חזא ואתא הוא בתרה ומשׁבח לאלהא וכלה עמא דחזא יהב הוא שׁובחא לאלהא |
[43]Then immediately he received his sight, and followed him, praising God: and all the people, when they saw this, gave praise to God. |
