| [1]בחד בשׁבא דינ בשׁפרא עד חשׁוכ אתי לבית קבורא ואיתי הרומא הלינ דטיב הוי ואית הוי עמהינ נשׁא אחרניתא |
[1]Now the first day of the week early in the morning, they came unto the sepulcher, and brought the odors, which they had prepared, and certain women with them. |
| [2]ואשׁכח כאפא דמעגלא מנ בית קבורא |
[2]And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher, |
| [3]ועלינ ולא אשׁכחיהי לפגרא דישׁוע |
[3]And went in, but found not the body of the Lord Jesus. |
| [4]והוא דכד הנינ תמיהנ על הדא הא תרינ גברינ קמו לעל מנהינ ומברק הוא לבושׁהונ |
[4]And it came to pass, that as they were amazed thereat, behold, two men suddenly stood by them in shining vestures. |
| [5]והוי בדחלתא וכפי אפיהינ בארעא ואמרינ להינ מנא בעינ אנתינ חיא עמ מיתא |
[5]And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said to them, Why seek ye him that liveth, among the dead? |
| [6]ליתוהי תננ קמ לה עהדינ דמלל עמכינ כד הו בגלילא |
[6]He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you, when he was yet in Galilee, |
| [7]ואמר הוא דעתיד הו ברה דאנשׁא דנשׁתלמ באידי אנשׁא חטיא ונצטלב ולתלתא יומינ נקומ |
[7]Saying, that the son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. |
| [8]והנינ אתדכרינ למלוהי |
[8]And they remembered his words, |
| [9]והפכ מנ קברא ואמרינ הלינ כלהינ לחדעסר ולשׁרכא |
[9]And returned from the sepulcher, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the remnant. |
| [10]איתיהינ הוי דינ מרימ מגדליתא ויוחנ ומרימ אמה דיעקוב ושׁרכא דעמהינ הלינ דאמר הוי לשׁליחא |
[10]Now it was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women with them, which told these things unto the Apostles. |
| [11]ואתחזי בעיניהונ מלא הלינ איכ שׁניתא ולא הימנו אנינ |
[11]But their words seemed unto them, as a feigned thing, neither believed they them. |
| [12]שׁמעונ דינ קמ ורהט לקברא ואדיק חזא כתנא דסימינ בלחוד ואזל כד מתדמר בנפשׁה על מדמ דהוא |
[12]Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulcher, and looked in, and saw the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed wondering in himself at that which was come to pass. |
| [13]והא תרינ מנהונ בה ביומא אזלינ הוו לקריתא דשׁמה עמאוס ופריקא מנ אורשׁלמ אסטדותא שׁתינ |
[13]� And behold, two of them went that same day to a town which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs, called Emmaus. |
| [14]והנונ ממללינ הוו חד עמ חד על הלינ כלהינ דגדשׁ |
[14]And they talked together of all these things that were done. |
| [15]וכד הנונ ממללינ הוו ובעינ חד עמ חד אתא הו ישׁוע ומטי אנונ ומהלכ הוא עמהונ |
[15]And it came to pass, as they communed together, and reasoned, that Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. |
| [16]ועיניהונ אחידנ הוי דלא נסתכלוניהי |
[16]But their eyes were holden, that they could not know him. |
| [17]ואמר להונ מנא אנינ מלא הלינ דממללינ אנתונ חד עמ חד כד מהלכינ אנתונ וכמירינ אנתונ |
[17]And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another as ye walk and are sad? |
| [18]וענא חד מנהונ דשׁמה קליופא ואמר לה אנת הו כי בלחודיכ נוכריא מנ אורשׁלמ דלא ידע אנת מדמ דהוא בה בהנונ יומתא |
[18]And the one (named Cleophas) answered and said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hath not known the things which are come to pass therein in these days? |
| [19]אמר להונ מנא אמרינ לה על ישׁוע הו דמנ נצרת גברא דהוא נביא וחילתנ הוא במלתא ובעבדא קדמ אלהא וקדמ כלה עמא |
[19]And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Of Jesus of Nazareth, which was a Prophet, mighty in deed and in word before God, and all the people, |
| [20]ואשׁלמוהי רבי כהנא וקשׁישׁא לדינא דמותא וזקפוהי |
[20]And how the high Priests, and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him. |
| [21]חננ דינ סברינ הוינ דהויו עתיד הוא דנפרקיוהי ליסריל והא תלתא יומינ הא מנ דהלינ כלהינ הוי |
[21]But we trusted that it had been he that should have delivered Israel, and as touching all these things, today is the third day, that they were done. |
| [22]אלא אפ נשׁא מננ אתמהנ קדמ הוי גיר לבית קבורא |
[22]Yea, and certain women among us made us astonished, which came early unto the sepulcher. |
| [23]וכד לא אשׁכח פגרה אתי אמרנ לנ דמלאכא חזינ תמנ ואמרינ עלוהי דחי הו |
[23]And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of Angels, which said that he was alive. |
| [24]ואפ אנשׁא מננ אזלו לבית קבורא ואשׁכחו הכנא איכ מא דאמר נשׁא לה דינ לא חזו |
[24]Therefore certain of them which were with us, went to the sepulcher, and found it even so as the women had said, but him they saw not. |
| [25]הידינ אמר להונ ישׁוע או חסירי רעינא ויקירי לבא למהימנו בכלהינ אילינ דמללו נביא |
[25]Then he said unto them, O fools and slow of heart to believe all that the Prophets have spoken, |
| [26]לא הוא הלינ עתיד הוא דנסיבר משׁיחא ודנעול לתשׁבוחתה |
[26]Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? |
| [27]ושׁרי הוא מנ מושׁא ומנ כלהונ נביא ומפשׁק הוא להונ על נפשׁה מנ כלהונ כתבא |
[27]And he began at Moses, and at all the Prophets, and interpreted unto them in all the Scriptures the things which were written of him. |
| [28]וקרבו הוו לקריתא הי דאזלינ הוו לה והו מסבר הוא להונ דאיכ דלדוכא רחיקא אזל הוא |
[28]And they drew near unto the town, which they went to, but he made as though he would have gone further. |
| [29]ואלצוהי ואמרינ לה פושׁ לותנ מטל דיומא השׁא רכנ לה למחשׁכ ועל דנקוא לותהונ |
[29]But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is towards night, and the day is far spent. So he went in to tarry with them. |
| [30]והוא דכד אסתמכ עמהונ נסב לחמא וברכ וקצא ויהב להונ |
[30]And it came to pass, as he sat at table with them, he took the bread, and gave thanks, and break it, and gave it to them. |
| [31]ומחדא אתפתח עיניהונ ואשׁתודעוהי והו אשׁתקל לה מנהונ |
[31]Then their eyes were opened, and they knew him: but he was taken out of their sight. |
| [32]ואמרינ הוו חד לחד לא הוא לבנ יקיר הוא בגונ כד ממלל עמנ באורחא ומפשׁק לנ כתבא |
[32]And they said between themselves, Did not our hearts burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and when he opened to us the Scriptures? |
| [33]וקמו בה בשׁעתא והפכו לאורשׁלמ ואשׁכחו לחדעסר דכנישׁינ ולאילינ דעמהונ |
[33]And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the Eleven gathered together, and them that were with them, |
| [34]כד אמרינ דשׁריראית קמ מרנ ואתחזי לשׁמעונ |
[34]Which said, The Lord is risen in deed, and hath appeared to Simon. |
| [35]ואפ הנונ אשׁתעיו אילינ דהוי באורחא ואיכנא אתידע להונ כד קצא לחמא |
[35]Then they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread. |
| [36]וכד הלינ ממללינ הוו ישׁוע קמ בינתהונ ואמר להונ שׁלמא עמכונ אנא אנא לא תדחלונ |
[36]� And as they spake these things, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and said unto them, Peace be to you. |
| [37]והנונ אתרהבו והוו בדחלתא סברינ הוו גיר דרוחא חזינ |
[37]But they were abashed and afraid, supposing that they had seen a spirit. |
| [38]אמר להונ ישׁוע מנא מתתזיעינ אנתונ ומנא סלקנ מחשׁבתא על לבותכונ |
[38]Then he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and wherefore do doubts arise in your hearts? |
| [39]חזו אידי ורגלי דאנא אנא גושׁונני ודעו דלרוחא בסרא וגרמא לית לה איכ דחזינ אנתונ דאית לי |
[39]Behold mine hands and my feet: for it is I myself: handle me, and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. |
| [40]וכד הלינ אמר חוי אנונ אידוהי ורגלוהי |
[40]And when he had thus spoken, he showed them his hands and feet. |
| [41]וכד עדמא להשׁא לא מהימנינ הוו מנ חדותהונ ומתתמהינ הוו אמר להונ אית לכונ מדמ תננ למאכל |
[41]And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? |
| [42]הנונ דינ יהבו לה מנתא מנ נונא דטויא ומנ ככריתא דדבשׁא |
[42]And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb, |
| [43]ונסב אכל לעניהונ |
[43]And he took it, and did eat before them. |
| [44]ואמר להונ הלינ אנינ מלא דמללת עמכונ כד לותכונ הוית דולא הו דנשׁתלמ כל מדמ דכתיב בנמוסא דמושׁא ובנביא ובמזמורא עלי |
[44]And he said unto them, These are the words, which I spake unto you while I was yet with you, that all must be fulfilled which are written of me in the Law of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalms. |
| [45]הידינ פתח רעינהונ למסתכלו כתבא |
[45]Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures, |
| [46]ואמר להונ דהכנא כתיב והכנא זדק הוא דנחשׁ משׁיחא ודנקומ מנ בית מיתא לתלתא יומינ |
[46]And said unto them, Thus is it written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise again from the dead the third day, |
| [47]ודנתכרז בשׁמה תיבותא לשׁובקנא דחטהא בכלהונ עממא ושׁוריא נהוא מנ אורשׁלמ |
[47]And that repentance, and remission of sins should be preached in his Name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. |
| [48]ואנתונ אנונ סהדא דהלינ |
[48]Now ye are witnesses of these things. |
| [49]ואנא אשׁדר עליכונ מולכנא דאבי אנתונ דינ קוו באורשׁלמ מדינתא עדמא דתלבשׁונ חילא מנ רומא |
[49]And behold, I will send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from an high. |
| [50]ואפק אנונ עדמא לבית-עניא וארימ אידוהי וברכ אנונ |
[50]Afterward he led them out into Bethany, and lift up his hands, and blessed them. |
| [51]והוא דכד מברכ להונ אתפרשׁ מנהונ וסלק לשׁמיא |
[51]And it came to pass, that as he blessed them, he departed from them, and was carried up into heaven. |
| [52]הנונ דינ סגדו לה והפכו לאורשׁלמ בחדותא רבתא |
[52]And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, |
| [53]ובכלזבנ איתיהונ הוו בהיכלא כד משׁבחינ ומברכינ לאלהא אמינ |
[53]And were continually in the Temple, praising, and lauding God, Amen. |
