| [1]It happened but when gathered about Him the crowd to hear the word of Alaha and He standing was on the side The Lake of Genesar |
[1]AND it was while the assembly gathered upon him to hear the word of Aloha, he stood upon the bank of the sea of Genesar; |
| [2]He saw ships two that stood on the shore of the lake and the fishermen who had came down from them and were washing their nets |
[2]And he saw two vessels standing by the sea-side, and the fishermen who had gone up from them, and were washing their nets. |
| [3]And one of them of Shimeon was Kaypha and went up Ieshu He sat down in it and He said they should take it out a little from dry land into the water and sat down He and He taught from the ship the crowds |
[3]And one of them was of Shemun Kipha; and Jeshu ascended, sat in it, and directed that they should takeⓘ it a little from the land into the waters; and he sat, and taught the multitudes from the vessel. |
| [4]And when He had ceased from His speaking He said to Shimeon take to the deep and cast your nets for a catch |
[4]And when he was silent from his discourses, he said to Shemun, Lead into the deep, and cast forth your nets for a draught. |
| [5]Answered Shimeon and he said to Him Rabbi night all we have worked and a thing not we have taken on Your word but will cast I the net |
[5]Shemun answered and said to him, Rabi, the whole night we have laboured and nothing have we taken; but at thy word I throw the net. |
| [6]And when this they had done they caught fish many very and braking was their net |
[6]And when they had this done, they enclosed great multitudes of fishes, and their net brake. |
| [7]And they beckoned their partners who were in a ship another to come help them and when they came they filled those ships two so that near they were to sinking |
[7]And they signed to their companions, who were in another vessel, to come and help them. And when they had come, they filled those two vessels, so that they were nigh to be swallowed up. |
| [8]When saw but Shimeon Kaypha fell before the feet of Ieshu and he said to Him beg I of you My Lord abandon You me for a man I am a sinner |
[8]But when Shemun Kipha saw, he fell before the feet of Jeshu and said to him, I pray from thee, my Lord, remove thee from me, for I am a man a sinner. |
| [9]Awe for seized him had and all of them who were with him due to catch that of fish that they had caught |
[9]For amazement had seized him, and all who were with him, on account of the draught of fishes which they had taken. |
| [10]So but also Yaqob and Yokhanan sons of Zebedee who were partners of Shimeon said but Ieshu to Shimeon not fear from this hour sons of men you will be catching for salvation |
[10]Even so also Jacub and Juchanon, sons of Zabdai, who were partners of Shemun. But Jeshu said, Fear not, from henceforth the sons of men shalt thou catch unto life. |
| [11]And they brought those ships to the land and they left every thing and they came after Him |
[11]And they brought the vessels to land, and forsook every thing, and went after him. |
| [12]And when was Ieshu in one of the cities came a man who was full entirely of leprosy he saw Ieshu and he fell on his face and begged he from Him and he said to Him my Lord if willing you are can you purify Me |
[12]AND when Jeshu was in one of the cities, there came a certain man who was wholly filled with leprosy; he saw Jeshu, and fell upon his face, and prayed of him, and said to him, My Lord, if thou art willing, thou canst make me clean. |
| [13]And reached His hand Ieshu He touched him and He said to him willing I am be purified and son of a moment went from him his leprosy and he was purified |
[13]And Jeshu extended his hand, touched him, and said to him, I am willing; be clean. And in an instant his leprosy went from him. |
| [14]And He commanded him "man no you shall tell but go show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing just as commanded Moshe for their testimony" |
[14]And he commanded him, Tell no man, but go show thyself to the priests, and offer the oblation for thy cleansing, as Musha ordained for their testimony. |
| [15]And went out about Him fame increasingly and gathered were people many to hear from Him and to be healed from their sicknesses |
[15]And the fame concerning him went forth the more, and much people were gathered together to hear him and to be healed from their diseases. |
| [16]He but departing was to the wilderness and praying |
[16]And he passed away into the desert, and prayed. |
| [17]And it happened on one of the days when teaching was Ieshu sitting were the Pharisees and teachers of the law who come had from every village of Galila and of Judea and of Jerusalem and the power of the Lord there was to heal them |
[17]And it was on one of the days, while Jeshu was teaching, [certain] Pharishee and doctors of the law were sitting. And they had come from all the villages of Galila and of Jehud, and from Urishlem: and the power of the Lord was [there] to heal them. |
| [18]And men brought on a pallet a man one a paralytic man and seeking they were to enter to place him in front of Him |
[18]And some brought on a couch a certain man a paralytic; and they sought to enter, that they might set him before him. |
| [19]And when not they found which way they might bring him in because of the crowd of people they went up by themselves to the roof and lowered him with the pallet from the tiles into the midst in front of Ieshu |
[19]And when they found not how to bring him in because of the multitude of people, they ascended to the house-top, and sent him with his couch from the roof into the midst before Jeshu. |
| [20]When saw but Ieshu their faith He said to that paralyzed man man are forgiven to you your sins |
[20]And when Jeshu saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, Man, forgiven to thee are thy sins. |
| [21]And started the Scribes and the Pharisees to think and they were saying Who is? This Who speaks blasphemy Who? is able to forgive sins except if Alaha only |
[21]And the Sophree and Pharishee began to reason and to say, Who is this who speaketh blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but Aloha only? |
| [22]Ieshu but knew their thoughts He answered and said to them what? thoughts are entertained by you in your heart |
[22]But Jeshu knew their reasoning, and said to them, What reason you in your hearts? |
| [23]Which? is easier to say are forgiven to you your sins or to say arise and walk |
[23]Which is easier, to say, Forgiven to thee are thy sins; or to say, Arise, walk? |
| [24]That you may know but that authorized is Son of Man in the earth that He may forgive sins He said to the paralyzed man to you say I arise pick up your pallet and go to your house |
[24]But that you may know that authority hath the Son of man in the earth to forgive sins,—he saith to the paralytic,—To thee I say, Arise, take up thy couch, and go to thine house. |
| [25]And at once he arose before their eyes and took up his pallet and he went on to his house as he praised to Alaha |
[25]And immediately he arose before them, and took up his couch, and went to his house, glorifying Aloha. |
| [26]And astonishment seized everyone and praising they were to Alaha and they were filled with awe and they were saying we have seen today wonders |
[26]And amazement held every man; and they glorified Aloha, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen today wonders. |
| [27]After these things went out Ieshu and He saw a tax collector whose name Levi who sat in the house of customs and He said to him come after Me |
[27]After these things Jeshu went forth, and saw a tribute-taker, whose name was Levi, sitting at the house of tribute. And he said to him, Come after me: |
| [28]And he left every thing and rising he went after Him |
[28]And he left every thing, and arose, and went after him. |
| [29]And made for Him Levi in his house a reception great and there was a crowd great of tax gatherers and of others who reclining at dinner were with them |
[29]And Levi made in his house a great feast;ⓘ and there was a large company of tribute-takers, and of others that reclined with them. |
| [30]And complaining were the Scribes and the Pharisees and they were saying to His disciples why? with tax collectors and sinners do eat you and do drink |
[30]And the Sophree and Pharishee murmured, saying to his disciples, Why with tribute-takers and sinners eat you and drink? |
| [31]And answered Ieshu and He said to them not is sought a doctor for the healthy but for those who are ill ill or are becoming |
[31]Jeshu answered and said to them, The whole do not require the physician, but they who are grievously ill. |
| [32]Not I have come that I may call the righteous but sinners to repentance |
[32]I am not come to call the just, but the sinners, to repentance. |
| [33]Those but were saying to Him why? the disciples of Yokhanan do fast faithfully and do pray also of the Pharisees yours but are eating and drinking |
[33]But they say to him, Why do the disciples of Juchanon constantlyⓘ fast, and pray also as the Pharishee, but thine eat and drink? |
| [34]He but said to them not are able you the children of the bridal chamber as long as the groom is with them that you shall make them that they shall fast |
[34]But he said to them, How can you make the sons of the chamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? |
| [35]Will come but the days when will be taken The Groom from them then they will fast in those days |
[35]But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken upⓘ from them: then shall they fast in those days. |
| [36]And He told them a parable no man tears a strip from a garment new and places it on a garment worn lest the new he tear also the worn not resembles the strip that is from the new |
[36]He spake to them a parable: No man cutteth a piece from a new material,ⓘ and fasteneth it upon an old garment; lest he rend the new, without completing the old with the piece that is new. |
| [37]And no man places wine new in skins old and if but not bursts the wine new the skins and that wine is spilled and the skins are ruined |
[37]And no man poureth new wine into old bottles;ⓘ lest the new wine burst forth, and the wine be shed, and the bottles perish. |
| [38]But wine new in skins new is placed and both are preserved |
[38]But they pour new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved. |
| [39]And no man drinks wine old and at once desires the new he says for the old is sweet |
[39]And no man, drinking old wine, immediately asketh new: for he saith, The old is softer. |
