[1]IT was on the shabath, while Jeshu was walking among the corn,ⓘ and his disciples gathered the ears, and rubbed in their hands and ate [them]. |
[1]It was but on the Sabbath when was walking Ieshu among the grain His disciples plucking were the ears and were rubbing in their hands and eating |
[2]But some of the Pharishee said to them, Why do you a thing which it is not lawful on the shabuth to do? |
[2]Some but of the Pharisees were saying to them why? are doing you the thing that not is legal to do on the Sabbath |
[3]Jeshu answered and said to them, And this have you not read, what David did when he hungered, and they who were with him? |
[3]Answered Ieshu and said to them and not? this have you read the thing that did David when was hungry he and those who were with him |
[4]That he went into the house of Aloha, and the bread of the table of the Lord he took, ate, and gave to them who were with him, that [bread] which was not lawful to eat, except by the priests only? |
[4]When he entered the house of Alaha and the bread of the table of the Lord he took he ate and he gave to those who were with him that which not legal was to eat except for priests only |
[5]And he said to them, That the Lord of the shabath is the Son of man. |
[5]And He said to them The Lord is of the Sabbath The Son of Man |
[6]And it was on another shabath [that] he entered into the synagogue, and taught. And there was a man whose right hand was dried: |
[6]It happened but on Sabbath another He entered a synagogue and teaching He was and there was there a man whose hand of the right side shriveled was |
[7]And the Sophree and Pharishee watched him, if he would heal on the shabath, that they might accuse him. |
[7]And the Scribes and The Pharisees watching were Him whether He would heal on the Sabbath that they would be able ? to accuse Him |
[8]But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man whose hand was dried, Rise [and] come into the midst of the assembly. And when he had come and stood, |
[8]He but knew their schemes and He said to that man was shriveled whose hand stand come you to the center of the synagogue and when he came and stood |
[9]Jeshu said to them, I ask you which is lawful to do on the shabath, good or evil, life to save or to destroy? |
[9]Said to them Ieshu I ask you what? is legal on the Sabbath what is good to be doing or what is evil life to save or to destroy |
[10]And he beheld them all, and said to him, Stretch forth thine hand: and he stretched it forth, and his hand was restored as its fellow. |
[10]And He gazed at them all of them and He said to him straighten your hand and he stretched it and was restored his hand like his other |
[11]But they were filled with envy, and spake one with another what they should do with Jeshu. |
[11]They but were filled with jealousy and speaking they were one with another of what they should do to Him to Ieshu |
[12]BUT it was in those days that Jeshu went forth into a mountain to pray; and there remained he all night in the prayer of Aloha. |
[12]It occurred but in days those went out Ieshu to a mountain to pray and there waiting for morning He was in the prayer of Alaha |
[13]And when the day brake, he called his disciples, and chose from them twelve, those whom he named Apostles, |
[13]And when it was dawn He called His disciples and He chose from them twelve those whom apostles He named them |
[14]—Shemun, he whose name was Kipha, and Andreas his brother, and Jacub, and Juchanon, and Philipos, and Bar Tholmai, |
[14]Shimeon him whom He named Kaypha and Andraeus his brother and Yaqob and Yokhanan and Phillip son of Tolmai |
[15]And Mathai, and Thoma, and Jakub bar Chalphai, and Shemun who was called the Zealous, |
[15]And Mattai and Toma and Yaqob son of Halphai and Shimeon who is called the Zealot |
[16]And Jihuda bar Jakub, and Jihuda Scaruta,ⓘ he who was the traitor. |
[16]And Yehuda son of Yaqob and Yehuda Skariota he who was the traitor |
[17]And Jeshu descended with them, and stood in the plain, and a great assembly of his disciples and a multitude of people from all Jehud, and from Urishlem, and from the sea-coast of Tsur and Tsaidon, who had come to hear his words, and to be healed of their diseases; |
[17]And descended with them Ieshu and He stood in the valley and a crowd great of His disciples and a multitude of crowds of the people from all of Judea and from Jerusalem and from coast the sea of Tsur and of Tsidon |
[18]And they who were vexed by unclean spirits, and they were healed. |
[18]Who came to hear His message and to be healed of their sicknesses and those who were afflicted by spirits unclean and healed they were |
[19]And all the multitudes sought to approach to him, for the power went forth from him, and all of them he healed. |
[19]And all the crowds seeking were to touch Him power for proceeding was from Him and all of them healing it was |
[20]AND he lifted up his eyes upon his disciples, and said, Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of Aloha. |
[20]And He lifted His eyes upon His disciples and He said blessed are you poor ones because yours is the Kingdom of Alaha |
[21]Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. |
[21]Blessed are you who weep now for you shall laugh blessed are you those who hunger now for you shall be satisfied |
[22]Blessed are you when the sons of man hate you, and separate you, and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of man. |
[22]Blessed are you whenever hate you the children of men and they separate you and they insult you and they cast out your name as evil for the sake of the Son of Man |
[23]Rejoice in that day, and exult, for your reward is great in heaven; for thus did they to your fathers the prophets. |
[23]Rejoice in that day and leap for joy for your reward is great in Heaven thus for doing were their fathers to the prophets |
[24]But woe to you [who are] rich, because you have received your consolation. |
[24]But woe! to you rich men for you have received your comfort |
[25]Woe to you [who are] full, for you shall hunger. Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall weep and lament. |
[25]Woe to you satisfied ones for you shall hunger woe! to you who are laughing now for you shall weep and you shall wail |
[26]Woe to you when the sons of men shall speak well of you, for so did to the prophets of falsity their fathers. |
[26]Woe! to you when will say concerning you the children of men what is wonderful thus for doing were to the prophets false their fathers |
[27]But I say to you who hear, Love your adversaries, and do good to those who hate you, |
[27]To you but say I who are hearing love your enemies and do what is wonderful to those who hate you |
[28]And bless those who execrate you, and pray for those who lead you by violence.ⓘ |
[28]And bless those who curse you and pray over those who take away you by force |
[29]And to one who striketh you on your cheek, offer to him the other: and whosoever taketh your cloak, forbid him not your coat also. |
[29]And to him that strikes you on your cheek offer him the other and from whomever takes your cloak not withhold also your coat |
[30]To every one who asketh of you give; and from him who taketh of yours demand not [again]. |
[30]To everyone who asks you give to such and from whomever takes what is yours do not demand |
[31]And as you will that the sons of man should do to you, so do you also to them. |
[31]And just as desire you to do to you ? people so do to them also you |
[32]For if you love them who love you, what is your grace? for sinners also love those who love them. |
[32]If for love you those who love you what? is your goodness even for sinners those who love them love |
[33]And if you do good to those who benefit you, what is your grace? for the sinners also thus do. |
[33]And if doing you are what is good to those who treat well you what? is your goodness even sinners for likewise do |
[34]And if you lend to them from whom you expect to be recompensed, what is your grace? for sinners also lend to sinners, that they might be profited. |
[34]And if lend you to him expect you you will be repaid from whom what? is your goodness even sinners for to sinners lend likewise to be repaid |
[35]But love your adversaries, and do good to them, and lend, and cut not off the hope of any one; and great shall be your reward, and you shall be the children of the Most High; for he is benign to the evil and to the ungrateful. |
[35]But love your enemies and treat well those and lend and not cut off the hope of a person and shall be great your reward and you shall be the children of the Highest because He kind is toward the evil and toward the unbelievers |
[36]Be you therefore merciful, as also your Father is merciful. |
[36]Be therefore benevolent just as also your Father benevolent is |
[37]JUDGE not, and you shall not be judged; condemn not, and you shall not be condemned; release,ⓘ and you shall be released; |
[37]Not judge and not will be judged you not condemn and not will be condemned you let go and you will be let go |
[38]Give, and it shall be given to you; in good measure, compressed, redundant, shall they pour into your bosoms. For in that measure you mete, it shall be measured to you. |
[38]Give and it will be given to you in measure good and pressed down and overflowing they shall cast in your lap with that for measure with which measure you it shall be measured to you |
[39]—And he spake to them a parable: How can the blind lead the blind, and not fall into the ditch? |
[39]And told He to them a parable is? it possible for a blind man a blind man to lead not? both of them into a ditch will fall |
[40]The disciple than his master is not greater; but every man who is perfect shall be as his master. |
[40]There is not a disciple greater than his mentor everyone for who is perfected shall be like his mentor |
[41]For why behold you the rod that is in the eye of your brother, but the rafter in your [own] eye is not seen by you? |
[41]Why? but observe you a chip that is in the eye of your brother the plank but that is in your eye not is apparent to you |
[42]Or how can you say to your brother, My brother, permit [that] I pull out the rod that is in your eye, and behold the rafter in your own eye is not seen by you? Hypocrite! first take out the rafter from your own eye, and then shall you see to take out the rod that is in the eye of your brother. |
[42]Or how? can you say to your brother my brother let me cast out the chip from your eye for behold the plank that is in your eye your own not is visible to you accepter of faces cast out first the plank from your eye and then sight shall be given to you to pull out the chip from the eye of your brother |
[43]A good tree maketh not evil fruits; also an evil tree maketh not good fruits: |
[43]Not it is a tree good that produces fruit bad ? neither a tree bad that produces fruit good |
[44]For every tree by its fruits is known. For how gather they from thorns figs? neither also from the bramble do they gather in grapes. |
[44]Every tree for by its fruits is known not for they pick from thorns figs also not from a bush do they gather grapes |
[45]The good man, from the good treasures which are in his heart, bringeth forth good things; and the evil man, from the evil treasures which are in his heart, bringeth forth evil things; for from the adundancies of the heart the lips speak. |
[45]A man good from the treasure good that is in his heart brings out good and the man evil from the treasure evil that is in his heart brings out evil from the fulness of the heart for are speaking the lips |
[46]Why call you me, My Lord, my Lord, and the things which I say do not? |
[46]Why? calling are you Me my Lord my Lord and whatever say I not doing you are |
[47]Every man who cometh to me and heareth my words, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like. |
[47]Every person who comes to Me and has heard My words and does them I shall show you what he is like |
[48]He is like a man who built a house, and digged deep, and laid the foundations upon the rock: but when there was an inundation,ⓘ the inundation beat against that house, and it could not shake it, for its foundations were set upon a rock. |
[48]He is like a man who built a house and he dug and went deep and laid the foundation on the rock when there was but a flood beat the flood on house that and not it could shake it founded was for its foundation on the rock |
[49]And he who heareth and doeth not, is like a man who built his house upon the dust, without a foundation: and when the river beat against it, it immediately fell, and the ruin was great of that house. |
[49]And he who heard and not did is like the man who built his house on soil without a foundation and when beat on it the river son of a moment it fell and was the fall great of house that |
