[1]The beginning of the gospel of Ieshu The Messiah the Son of Alaha |
[1]THE beginning of the Gospel of Jeshu Meshicha, the Son of Aloha. |
[2]As it is written in Isaiah the prophet behold shall send I My messenger before your presence to prepare your way |
[2]As it is written in Eshaia the prophet:—Behold, I send my angel before thy face, who shall make straightⓘ thy way. |
[3]A voice that cries in the wilderness prepare the way of The Lord the Lord and make level His paths |
[3]The voice which crieth in the desert, prepare the way of the Lord, make level his paths. |
[4]Was Yohanan in the wilderness baptizing and preaching the baptism of repentance for the release of sins |
[4]Juchanon was in the desert, baptizing, and proclaiming the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. |
[5]And going out were to him all the country of Judea and all the children of Jerusalem and baptized he them in the Jordan when they confessed their sins |
[5]And all the region of Jehud and all the sons of Urishlem went out to him; and he baptized them in Jurdan the river, while they were confessing their sins. |
[6]The same but Yohanan clothed was with clothing of hair of the camel and bound he was with a belt of leather at his waist and his food it was locusts and honey of the field |
[6]But Juchanon himself was clothed with a garment of the hair of camels, and engirded with a belt of leather upon his loins; and his food was locusts and wilderness honey. |
[7]And preaching he was and he said behold shall come after me He Who mightier than I is of Whom not worthy I am to stoop to loose the strap of His sandals |
[7]And he proclaimed and said, Behold, [One] cometh after me, who is mightier than I; he, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to bow myself to unloose. |
[8]I have immersed you in water He but will immerse you in The Spirit of Holiness |
[8]I have baptized you with waters; but he shall baptize you with the Spirit of Holiness. |
[9]And it was in days those came Ieshu from Nazareth of Galila and was immersed in the Jordan by Yohanan |
[9]And it was in those days that Jeshu came from Natsrath of Galila, and was baptized in Jurdan by Juchanon. |
[10]And at once as He came up from the waters He saw that were ripped opened the heavens and The Spirit as a dove Who was descending upon Him |
[10]And as soon as he had ascended from the waters, he saw the heavens part asunder, and the Spirit, as a dove, descend upon him. |
[11]And a voice there was from the heavens You are My Son beloved with you I am delighted |
[11]And the voice was from the heavens, Thou art my Son, the Beloved: in thee I have delighted. |
[12]And at once drove Him The Spirit into the wilderness |
[12]And immediately the Spirit led him forth into the desert. |
[13]And he was there in the wilderness days forty when being tempted by Satan and he was with the animals and ministering were to Him the angels |
[13]And he was there in the desert forty days, being tempted by Satana: and he was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him. |
[14]After was delivered up but Yohanan came to it Ieshu to Galila and preaching was the gospel of the kingdom of Alaha |
[14]BUT after Juchanon was delivered up,ⓘ Jeshu came to Galila, and proclaimed the annunciation of the kingdom of Aloha. |
[15]And He said has come to an end of itself time and has arrived the kingdom of Alaha repent and believe in the good news |
[15]And he said, The time is complete; the kingdom of Aloha cometh: repent, and believe the gospel.ⓘ |
[16]And when He walked around the Sea of Galila He saw Shimeon and Andraeus his brother who were casting a net into the sea they were for fishermen |
[16]And while he walked about the sea of Galila, he saw Shemun and Andreas his brother, who were casting nets into the sea: for they were fishers. |
[17]And said to them Ieshu come after Me and I will make you fishers of the children of men |
[17]And Jeshu said to them, Come after me, and I will make you fishers of the sons of men. |
[18]And at once they left their nets and they went after Him |
[18]And at once they forsook their nets, and went after him. |
[19]And when He passed by a little He saw Yaqob son of Zebedee and Yohanan his brother and also those in the ship who were setting in order their nets |
[19]And when he had passed on a little, he saw Jakub bar Zabdai and Juchanon his brother; and they also were in a vessel, preparing their nets. |
[20]And he called them and at once they left Zebedee their father in the boat with the hired servants and they went after Him |
[20]And he called them; and forthwith they left Zabdai their father with the hirelings, and went after him. |
[21]And when they entered Kapernakhum at once taught He on the Sabbath in their synagogue |
[21]And when they were come to Kapher-nachum, he forthwith taught on the sabbaths in their assemblies. |
[22]And dumbfounded they were at His teaching teaching He was them for as one having authority and not like their scribes |
[22]And they wondered at his doctrine; for he taught them as having power, and not as their Sophree. |
[23]And there was in their synagogue a man who had in him a spirit vile and he cried out |
[23]And there was in their assembly a man who had an unclean spirit: |
[24]And he said what? to us and to You Ieshu Nazarene have You come? to destroy us know I You Who You are The Holy One of Alaha |
[24]And he cried and said, What to us and to thee, Jeshu Natsroya? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of Aloha. |
[25]And rebuked him Ieshu and said shut your mouth and come out from him |
[25]And Jeshu restrained him, and said, Close thy mouth, and come forth from him. |
[26]And threw him down the spirit foul and he cried out in a voice loud and came out of him |
[26]And the impure spirit threw him down, and cried with a high voice, and went forth from him. |
[27]And were astonished all of them and inquiring they were one with another and they were saying what? is this and what is? teaching this new for with authority and even the spirits foul He commands and they obey Him |
[27]And all wondered, and questioned one with another, Who is this? and what is this new doctrine? because with authority he commandeth the impure spirits, and they obey him. |
[28]And at once went out His fame in the whole region of Galila |
[28]And his fame soon went out through all the region of Galila. |
[29]And they went out from the synagogue and they came to the house of Shimeon and Andraeus with Yaqob and Yohanan |
[29]And he proceeded from the assembly, and came to the house of Shemun and Andreas with Jacub and Juchanon. |
[30]And the Mother-in-law of Shimeon lying ill was with fever and they told Him about her |
[30]And the mother-in-law of Shemun was lying in a fever; and they told him concerning her. |
[31]And he came near took her by her hand and raised her up and at once left her her fever and waiting she was on them |
[31]And he approached, took her by her hand; and she arose, and at once the fever left her, and she served them. |
[32]In the evening but at the going down of the sun they brought to Him all of them who ill had been and the demon possessed |
[32]Then in the evening at sun-setting they brought to him all those who were grievously affected and demoniacs. |
[33]And the city whole assembled was at the door |
[33]And the whole city was assembled at the gate: |
[34]And He healed multitudes who ill become had with diseases various and evil spirits many He cast out and not allow He did them the evil spirits to speak because know they did Him |
[34]And he healed multitudes who were grievously affected with various diseases, and cast out many demons, and would not permit the demons to speak; for they knew him. |
[35]And in the morning early He arose very and went on to a place desolate and there prayed He |
[35]AND in the morning he arose long before [day], and went into a solitude, and there prayed. |
[36]And seeking were for him Shimeon and His companions |
[36]And Shemun and [they] who [were] with him sought for him; |
[37]And when they found Him they were saying to Him all of them the people are seeking You |
[37]And when they had found him, they said to him, All men are seeking thee. |
[38]He said to them walk to the villages and to the cities near to us so that also there I may preach because of this for I have come |
[38]He said to them, Proceed you to the neighbouring towns and cities; for there also I will preach, because for this am I come. |
[39]And preaching He was in all their synagogues in all Galila and casting out demons |
[39]And he preached in all their assemblies in all Galila, and cast out devils. |
[40]And came to Him a leper and fell at His feet and begged he of Him and said to Him if are willing You are able You to make me clean |
[40]And a leper came to him, and fell at his feet, and besought him, and said to him, If thou wilt, thou canst cleanse me. |
[41]Himself but Ieshu was moved with compassion for him and reaching out His hand He touched him and He said willing I am be cleansed |
[41]And Jeshu had compassion on him, and stretched forth his hand, touched him, and said, I will, be clean. |
[42]And in it in the moment went his leprosy from him and he was cleansed |
[42]And in that very hour his leprosy went from him, and he was cleansed. |
[43]And He reproved him and sent him out |
[43]And he restrained him, and led him forth, |
[44]And He said to him see that not a man tell you but go show yourself to the priest and bring gifts for the sake of your being cleansed just as commanded Moshe for their testimony |
[44]And said to him, See lest thou tell any one; but go, show thyself to the priests, and offer the oblation for thy purification as Musha commanded for their testimony. |
[45]He but when he went out began he preaching much and he reported the event so that not able was Ieshu openly to enter the cities but outside He was in places deserted and coming they were to Him from every place |
[45]But he, when he was gone forth, began to announce it much, and so divulged the matter as that Jeshu could not go openly in the city, but was without in a solitary part: and they came to him from every place. |
