[16]Jakub begat Jauseph, husband of Mariam, of whom was born JESHU who is called the Meshicha.ⓘ |
| [17]All therefore generations from Abraham until David generations fourteen and from David until the captivity of Babel generations fourteen and from the captivity of Babel until The Messiah generations fourteen |
[17]Thus all the generations from Abraham to David [were] fourteen generations; and from David to the exile of Bobel, fourteen generations; and from the exile of Bobel to the Meshicha, fourteen generations. |
| [18]The birth but of Ieshu The Messiah thus was when engaged she was Maryam His mother to Yoseph before they would have a conjugal relation she was found pregnant from The Spirit of Holiness |
[18]NOW the nativity of Jeshu the Meshicha was thus: While Mariam his mother was betrothed to Jauseph, before they could be consociated, she was found to be with child from the Spirit of Holiness. |
| [19]Yoseph but her lord righteous was and not he wanted to expose her and considering was that secretly he would divorce her |
[19]But Jauseph her husband was just, and, not willing to defame her, meditated privately to release her. |
| [20]As these things but he considered appeared to him The Angel of the Lord in a dream and said to him Yoseph son of David do not be afraid to take Maryam your woman He for Who is begotten in her from The Spirit is of Holiness |
[20]But while [on] these [things] he reflected, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, and said to him, Jauseph, son of David, fear not to take Mariam thy wife; for that which is conceived in her is from the Spirit of Holiness. |
| [21]She shall bear but a Son and she will call His name Ieshu He for will save His people from their sins |
[21]She shall give birth to a son, and thou shalt call his name JESHU; for he shall save his people from their sins. |
| [22]This but all happened that should be fulfilled the thing that was spoken from the Lord by the prophet |
[22]Now all this was done, that what was spoken from the Lord by the prophetⓘ might be fulfilled: |
| [23]Behold the virgin shall conceive and she shall bear a Son and they will call His Name Emmanuail which is translated is with us our Alaha |
[23]Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth the son, and they shall call his name Amanuel; which is interpreted, With us [is] our Aloha. |
| [24]When arose but Yoseph from his sleep he did according to that which commanded him The Angel of the Lord and he took his wife |
[24]Then Jauseph, when he had arisen from his sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took unto him his wife; |
| [25]And not he knew her sexually until she delivered Him her Son the firstborn and she called His name Ieshu |
[25]And knew her not until she had given birth to her son, the firstborn; and she called his name Jeshu. |
