[1]Is likened for the Kingdom of Heaven to the man the owner of a house who went out at dawn to hire laborers for his vineyard |
[1]FOR the kingdom of heaven is like a man, a house-lord, who went forth in the early morn to hire labourers for his vinery. |
[2]He made an agreement and with the laborers for a denarius for the day and He sent them to his vineyard |
[2]And he bargained with the labourers for a denarius a day, and sent them into his vinery. |
[3]And he went out at the third hour and saw others who were standing in the market place and were idle |
[3]And he went forth in three hours, and saw others who were standing in the public place and unemployed. |
[4]And he said to them go also you to the vineyard whatever is appropriate shall give I to you |
[4]And he said to them, Go also you in the vinery, and what is suitable I will give you. |
[5]Those but they departed and he went out again at the sixth and at the ninth hours and did likewise |
[5]Then went they. And he went forth again in six and nine hours, and did the same. |
[6]And to the face-towards the eleventh hour he went out and he found others who were standing and were idle and he said to them why? standing are you day all and are idle |
[6]And about eleven hours he went out, and found others who were standing and unemployed; and he said to them, Why are you standing all the day unemployed? |
[7]They were saying to him because no man has hired us he said to them go also you to the vineyard and whatever is appropriate will receive you |
[7]They say to him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith to them, Go also you into the vinery, and whatever is suitable you shall receive. |
[8]When it was but evening said the owner of the vineyard to his custodian call the laborers and give to them their wages and start from the last ones and until the first ones |
[8]But when it was evening, the lord of the vinery said to the chief of his household, Call the workmen and give to them their wages; and begin from the last unto the first. |
[9]And came those of the eleventh hour they received a denarius a denarius-each |
[9]And they came who [had wrought] from eleven hours; and they received each a denarius. |
[10]And when they came the first they had hoped that more they would receive and they received a denarius a denarius-each also they |
[10]But when the first came, they expected to take more; but they also received each a denarius. |
[11]And when they received they complained to the owner of the house |
[11]And when they had received, they murmured against the house-lord, |
[12]And they were saying these last ones one hour have worked and you have made equal them with us who have borne the burden of the day and its heat |
[12]And said, These last have wrought one hour, and thou hast made them equal with us, who have borne the burden of the day and its heat. |
[13]He but answered and said to one of them my friend no do evil I to you not? was it for a denarius you agreed with me |
[13]But he answered and said to one of them, My friend, I am not unjust towards thee: didst thou not bargain with me for a denarius? |
[14]Take yours and go wish I but that to this last group to give as to you |
[14]Take what is thine and go: I will unto these last to give as unto thee. |
[15]Or not? is it lawful for me that whatever want I I shall do with mine or your eye is evil? because I good am |
[15]Is it not lawful for me that whatsoever l am willing, I may do with mine own? Is thine eye evil because I am good? |
[16]Thus will be the last first and the first last many are for the called and few are the chosen ones |
[16]Thus the last shall be first, and the first last; for many are the called, but few the chosen. |
[17]Prepared was but Ieshu to go up to Jerusalem and He took aside twelve His disciples between Him and them in the road and said to them |
[17]NOW Jeshu was about to go up to Urishlem, and he took his twelve disciples by themselvesⓘ in the way, and said to them, |
[18]Behold are going up we to Jerusalem and The Son of Man will be delivered to the Chief Priests to the Scribes and they will condemn Him to death |
[18]Behold, we go up to Urishlem, and the Son of man is betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they shall condemn him to the death; |
[19]And they will deliver Him to nations and they will mock Him and they will scourge Him and they will crucify Him and the day third He will arise |
[19]And they shall consign him to the Gentiles, and they shall mock him, and scourge him, and shall crucify him, and on the third day he shall arise. |
[20]Then came near to Him the mother of the sons of Zebedee she and her sons and she worshipped Him and asking she was Him something |
[20]Then came to him the mother of the sons of Zabdai, she and her sons, and worshipped him, and supplicated a certain thing of him. |
[21]He but said to her what? do desire you and she said to Him say that would sit these two my sons one at Your right and one at Your left in Your kingdom |
[21]But he said to her, What wilt thou? She said to him, Declare that these my two sons shall sit, one at thy right hand, and one at thy left, in thy kingdom. |
[22]Answered Ieshu and He said not know you what asking you are are able? you to drink the cup that I am prepared to drink or in the baptism that I to be baptized in am to be baptized in they were saying to Him are able we |
[22]Jeshu answered and said, You know not what you ask: are you able to drink the cup of which I am about to drink, or with the baptism with which I am baptized will you be baptized? They say unto him, We are able! |
[23]He said to them My cup you will drink and in the baptism in which I baptized I am you will be baptized for you to sit but at My right and at My left not was Mine that I may give except to those for whom it is prepared by My Father |
[23]He saith to them, My cup you shall drink, and with the baptism with which I am baptized you shall be baptized: but that you may sit at my right hand, and at my left, is not mine to give, unless to them for whom it is prepared by my Father. |
[24]When but heard the ten they were angry against those two brothers |
[24]And when the ten heard it, they were indignant against those two brothers. |
[25]And called them Ieshu and He said to them know you their rulers of the nations their lords are and their great ones have authority over them |
[25]And Jeshu called them, and said to them, You know that the princes of the Gentiles are their lords, and their great ones exercise power over them; |
[26]Not so it will be among you but whoever wants among you to be great let him be to you a minister |
[26]But it shall not be so among you; but whoever among you willeth to be great, let him be minister to you. |
[27]And whoever wants among you to be first let him be to you a servant |
[27]And whoever among you willeth to be first, let him be to you the servant. |
[28]Just as The Son of Man not came to be ministered to but to minister and to give Himself a ransom in the place of the many |
[28]So, the Son of man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life the redemption for many. |
[29]And when went out Ieshu from Yerikho coming was after Him a crowd great |
[29]AND when Jeshu went forth from Jirichu, a great multitude cometh after him. |
[30]And behold blind men two sitting were on the side of the road and when they heard that Ieshu was passing by they gave a cry and they were saying have mercy on us My Lord Son of David |
[30]And, behold, two blind men were sitting by the sideⓘ of the way; and when they heard that Jeshu was passing, they gave voice, saying, Be merciful upon us, my Lord, Son of David! |
[31]The crowds but rebuking they were them that they would be silent and they all the more raised their voice and they were saying our Lord have mercy on us Son of David |
[31]But the crowds rebuked them that they should be silent; but they lifted up their voice the more, saying, Our Lord, be merciful upon us, O Son of David! |
[32]And stopped Ieshu and He called them and He said what? do want you Me to do for you |
[32]And Jeshu stood and called them, and said, What will you that I should do for you? |
[33]They were saying to Him our Lord that may be opened our eyes |
[33]They say to him, Our Lord, that our eyes may be opened. |
[34]And was moved with pity for them Ieshu and He touched their eyes and son of a moment were opened their eyes and they went after Him |
[34]And he had compassion on them, and touched their eyes, and immediately their eyes were opened, and they went after him. |
