|
[1]And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples, |
[1]And it was that when had finished Ieshu all words these He said to His disciples |
[2]Ye know that within two days is the Passover, and the Son of man shall be delivered to be crucified. |
[2]Know you that after two days it is Passover and The Son of Man will be betrayed that He would be crucified |
[3]Then assembled together the chief Priests and the Scribes, and the Elders of the people into the hall of the high Priest, called Caiaphas: |
[3]Then were gathered the Chief Priests and the Scribes and the Elders of the people to the court of the High Priest who is called Qaiapha |
[4]And consulted how they might take Jesus by subtlety, and kill him. |
[4]And they held a council about Ieshu that by deceit they would seize Him and they would murder Him |
[5]But they said, Not on the feast day, lest any uproar be among the people. |
[5]And saying they were not during the feast lest there be a riot among the people |
[6]And when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, |
[6]And when was Ieshu in Bayth-Ania in the house of Shimeon the potter |
[7]There came unto him a woman, which had a box of very costly ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at the table. |
[7]Came near to Him a woman who had with her a vase of oil of sweet spices very expensive and she poured it on His head of Ieshu as He reclined |
[8]And when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, What needed this waste? |
[8]And saw but His disciples and it displeased them and they said why? waste this |
[9]For this ointment might have been sold for much, and been given to the poor. |
[9]Possible it had been for to sell this for much and to be given to the poor |
[10]And Jesus knowing it, said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. |
[10]Ieshu but knew and He said to them why? trouble you her the woman a deed beautiful she has done for Me |
[11]For ye have the poor always with you, but me shall ye not have always. |
[11]Always for the poor are to you with you Me but not always are to you |
[12]For in that she poured this ointment on my body, she did it to bury me. |
[12]This one but who poured ointment this on My body so as for My burial she has done |
[13]Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this Gospel shall be preached throughout all the world, there shall also this that she hath done, be spoken of for a memorial of her. |
[13]And amen say I to you that wherever will be preached My gospel this in all the world will be told also the thing that has done this one for her memorial |
[14]Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief Priests, |
[14]Then went one of the twelve who is called Yehuda Skariota to the Chief Priests |
[15]And said, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? and they appointed unto him thirty pieces of silver. |
[15]And he said to them what? willing are you to give to me and I deliver shall Him to you they but they promised to him thirty silver coins |
[16]And from that time, he sought opportunity to betray him. |
[16]And from then sought he] it opportunity to betray Him |
[17]Now on the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the Passover? |
[17]In the day but first of unleavened bread came the disciples to Ieshu and they said to Him where? do want You that we may prepare for You that You may eat the Passover |
[18]And he said, Go you into the city to such a man, and say to him, The master saith, My time is at hand: I will keep the Passover at thine house with my disciples. |
[18]He but said to them go to the city to a certain man and say to him our Rabbi says My time is come it in your presence will perform I Passover with My disciples |
[19]And the disciples did as Jesus had given them charge, and made ready the Passover. |
[19]And His disciples did Just as ordered them Ieshu and they prepared the Passover |
[20]So when the Even was come, he sat down with the twelve. |
[20]And when it was evening reclined He with twelve His disciples |
[21]And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. |
[21]And while they ate He said amen say I to you that one from among you will betray Me |
[22]And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Is it I, Master? |
[22]And it grieved them greatly and they began to say to Him one each of them is it? I my Lord |
[23]And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, he shall betray me. |
[23]He but answered and said whoever dips his hand with Me in the dish he will betray Me |
[24]Surely the Son of man goeth his way, as it is written of him: but woe be to that man, by whom the Son of man is betrayed: it had been good for that man, if he had never been born. |
[24]And The Son of Man goes Just as it is written about Him woe to him but to man that by whose hand The Son of Man is betrayed better it would have been for him for man that if not he had been born |
[25]Then Judas which betrayed him, answered and said, Is it I, Master? He said unto him, Thou hast said it. |
[25]Answered Yehuda the traitor and he said is? I it Rabbi said to him Ieshu you have said |
[26]And as they did eat, Jesus took the bread: and when he had given thanks, he break it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat: this is my body. |
[26]As but they ate took Ieshu bread and blessed and broke and He gave to His disciples and said take eat this is My body |
[27]Also he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it them, saying, Drink ye all of it. |
[27]And He took a cup and He gave thanks and He gave to them and He said take drink from it all of you |
[28]For this is my blood of the New Testament, that is shed for many, for the remission of sins. |
[28]This is My blood of the covenant new that in exchange for the many is shed for the release of sins |
[29]I say unto you, that I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine until that day, when I shall drink it new with you in my Fathers kingdom. |
[29]Say I to you but that not I shall drink from this hour from this fruit of the vine until the day in which I shall drink it with you new in the Kingdom of My Father |
[30]And when they had sung a Psalm, they went out into the Mount of Olives. |
[30]And they sang praises and they went out to the Mount of Olives |
[31]Then said Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended by me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered. |
[31]Then said to them Ieshu you all of you will be offended at Me in this night it is written for I shall smite the Shepherd and will be scattered the sheep of His flock |
[32]But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee. |
[32]From after risen I am but shall go before I you to Galila |
[33]But Peter answered, and said unto him, Though that all men should be offended by thee, yet will I never be offended. |
[33]Answered Kaypha and said to Him even if everyman will be offended at You I ever not I will be offended at You |
[34]Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, that this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. |
[34]Said to him Ieshu amen say I to you that in this night before will crow a cock three times you will deny Me |
[35]Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples. |
[35]Said to Him Kaypha if it should be for me to die with You not I would deny You so also all the disciples said |
[36]Then went Jesus with them into a place which is called Gethsemane, and said unto his disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. |
[36]Then came with them Ieshu to the place that is called Gethsaymane and He said to His disciples sit here while I shall go I shall pray |
[37]And he took Peter, and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to wax sorrowful, and grievously troubled. |
[37]And He took Kaypha and the two sons of Zebedee and He began to be sad and to be disheartened |
[38]Then said Jesus unto them, My soul is very heavy, even unto the death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. |
[38]And He said to them sorrow is to it to My soul until death wait for Me here and keep watch with Me |
[39]So he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt. |
[39]And He withdrew a little and He fell on His face and prayed He and He said My Father if it is possible let pass by Me cup this however not as that I willing am but as You |
[40]After he came unto the disciples, and found them asleep, and said to Peter, What? could ye not watch with me one hour? |
[40]And He came to His disciples and He found them as they slept and He said to Kaypha thus not? could you one hour that you keep watch with Me |
[41]Watch, and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is ready, but the flesh is weak. |
[41]Watch and pray lest you enter into temptation the spirit is ready the body but is weak |
[42]Again he went away the second time and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup cannot pass away from me, but that I must drink it, thy will be done. |
[42]Again going the second time He prayed and He said My Father if not can this cup pass unless if I shall drink it thy will be done |
[43]And he came, and found them a sleep again, for their eyes were heavy. |
[43]And coming again He found them while they slept their eyes for heavy were |
[44]So he left them and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. |
[44]And He left them and going on again He prayed the third time and to Him the words He said |
[45]Then came he to his disciples, and said unto them, Sleep henceforth, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is given into the hands of sinners. |
[45]Then He came to His disciples and He said to them sleep now and rest behold has come the hour The Son of Man is betrayed into their hands of sinners |
[46]Rise, let us go: behold, he is at hand that betrayeth me. |
[46]Arise let us go behold has arrived he who betrays Me |
[47]And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the high Priests and Elders of the people. |
[47]And while He was speaking behold Yehuda the traitor one from the twelve came and a crowd with him great with swords and clubs from the presence of the Chief Priests and the Elders of the people |
[48]Now he that betrayed him, had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he, lay hold on him. |
[48]And given had to them a sign Yehuda the traitor and he had said Him Whom shall kiss I is the One Him seize |
[49]And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, God save thee, Master, and kissed him. |
[49]And at once He called to Ieshu and said greetings Rabbi and he kissed Him |
[50]Then Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him. |
[50]He but Ieshu said to him to this have you come? My friend then they came and they laid their hands on Ieshu and they took Him |
[51]And behold, one of them which were with Jesus, stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high Priest, and smote off his ear. |
[51]And behold one of those who were with Ieshu reached his hand and drew a sword and struck the servant of the High Priest and cut off his ear |
[52]Then said Jesus unto him, Put up thy sword into his place: for all that take the sword, shall perish with the sword. |
[52]Then said to him Ieshu return the sword to its place all of them for those who have taken swords by swords they will die |
[53]Either thinkest thou, that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he will give me more than twelve legions of Angels? |
[53]Or think you that not can I ask of My Father and He would raise up for Me now more than twelve legions of angels |
[54]How then should the Scriptures be fulfilled, which say, that it must be so? |
[54]How? then would be fulfilled the scriptures that thus it must be |
[55]The same hour said Jesus to the multitude, Ye be come out as it were against a thief, with swords and staves, to take me: I sat daily teaching in the Temple among you, and ye took me not. |
[55]In that hour said Ieshu to the crowd as upon a robber you have come out with swords and with clubs to seize Me every day with you in the temple sitting I was and teaching and not you arrested Me |
[56]But all this was done, that the Scriptures of the Prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled. |
[56]This but happened that may be fulfilled the scripture of the prophets then the disciples all of them forsook Him and fled |
[57]And they took Jesus, and led him to Caiaphas the high Priest, where the Scribes and the Elders were assembled. |
[57]And they who arrested Ieshu led Him to Qaipha the High Priest where the Scribes and Elders gathered were |
[58]And Peter followed him a far off unto the high Priests hall, and went in, and sat with the servants to see the end. |
[58]Shimeon but Kaypha going was after Him from a distance until to the court of the High Priest and entering he sat down within with the guards to see the result |
[59]Now the chief Priests and the Elders, and all the whole council sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death. |
[59]Chief the Priests but and the Elders and the Assembly all seeking were against Ieshu witnesses so that they may put Him to death |
[60]But they found none, and though many false witnesses came, yet found they none: but at the last came two false witnesses, |
[60]And not they found them and came many witnesses of lies finally but came forth two |
[61]And said, This man said, I can destroy the Temple of God, and build it in three days. |
[61]And they were saying This One said can I destroy the temple of Alaha and in three days I shall build it |
[62]Then the chief Priest arose, and said to him, Answerest thou nothing? What is the matter that these men witness against thee? |
[62]And stood the High Priest and said to Him not? anything return You answer what? are testifying against You these |
[63]But Jesus held his peace. Then the chief Priest answered, and said to him, I charge thee by the living God, that thou tell us, if thou be the Christ the Son of God. |
[63]Ieshu but silent was and answered High the Priest and said to Him adjure I You by Alaha The Living One that You tell us if You are the Messiah The Son of Alaha |
[64]Jesus said to him, Thou hast said it: nevertheless I say unto you, hereafter shall ye see the Son of man, sitting at the right hand of the power of God, and come in the clouds of the heaven. |
[64]Said to him Ieshu you have said I say to you but that from this hour you will see Him The Son of Man Who sits at the right hand of power and comes on the clouds of Heaven |
[65]Then the high Priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath blasphemed, what have we any more need of witnesses? Behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. |
[65]Then High the Priest ripped his garment and said behold He has blasphemed why? now are necessary to us witnesses behold now you have heard His blasphemy |
[66]What think ye? They answered, and said, He is worthy to die. |
[66]What? think you they answered and they were saying deserves He death |
[67]Then spat they in his face, and buffeted him, and other smote him with their rods, |
[67]Then they spat in His face and beating His head they were it others but striking were Him |
[68]Saying, Prophecy to us, O Christ, Who is he that smote thee? |
[68]And they were saying prophesy to us Messiah who? is he who hits You |
[69]Peter sat without in the hall: and a maid came to him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee: |
[69]Kaypha but sat had outside in the courtyard and came near to him maidservant one and she said to him also you with Ieshu were the Nazarene |
[70]But he denied before them all, saying, I wot not what thou sayest. |
[70]He but denied before all of them and said not know I what? saying you are |
[71]And when he went out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This man was also with Jesus of Nazareth. |
[71]And when he went out to the porch saw him another maidservant and she said to them there was also this one with Ieshu the Nazarene |
[72]And again he denied with an oath, saying, I know not the man. |
[72]And again he denied with an oath not know I Him The Man |
[73]So after a while, came unto him they that stood by, and said unto Peter, Surely thou art also one of them: for even thy speech betrayeth thee. |
[73]From after a little but came those who were standing and they said to Kaypha certainly also you of them are also your speech for reveals you |
[74]Then began he to curse himself, and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew. |
[74]Then he began to curse and to swear not I know Him the Man and in it in the moment crowed a cock |
[75]Then Peter remembered the words of Jesus, which had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. So he went out, and wept bitterly. |
[75]And remembered Kaypha the word of Ieshu that He had told him that before will crow a cock three times you will deny Me and going forth outside he wept bitterly |
