| [1]When saw but Ieshu the crowds He went up to a mountain and when He sat down came near to Him His disciples |
[1]כד חזא דינ ישׁוע לכנשׁא סלק לטורא וכד יתב קרבו לותה תלמידוהי |
| [2]And He opened His mouth and teaching He was them and He said |
[2]ופתח פומה ומלפ הוא להונ ואמר |
| [3]Blessed are they who are poor in The Spirit because theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven |
[3]טוביהונ למסכנא ברוח דדילהונ הי מלכותא דשׁמיא |
| [4]Blessed are they who are mourning for they will be comforted |
[4]טוביהונ לאבילא דהנונ נתביאונ |
| [5]Blessed are they who are meek for they will inherit the earth |
[5]טוביהונ למכיכא דהנונ נארתונ לארעא |
| [6]Blessed are they those who hunger and thirst for justice for they will be satisfied |
[6]טוביהונ לאילינ דכפנינ וצהינ לכאנותא דהנונ נסבעונ |
| [7]Blessed are they who show mercy for upon them there will be mercies |
[7]טוביהונ למרחמנא דעליהונ נהוונ רחמא |
| [8]Blessed are they those who are pure in their hearts for they shall see to Alaha |
[8]טוביהונ לאילינ דדכינ בלבהונ דהנונ נחזונ לאלהא |
| [9]Blessed are they that make peace for the children of Alaha they will be called |
[9]טוביהונ לעבדי שׁלמא דבנוהי דאלהא נתקרונ |
| [10]Blessed are they those who have been persecuted for the cause of justice for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven |
[10]טוביהונ לאילינ דאתרדפו מטל כאנותא דדילהונ הי מלכותא דשׁמיא |
| [11]Blessed are you whenever they revile you and persecute you and they say against you every word evil for My sake in falsehood |
[11]טוביכונ אמתי דמחסדינ לכונ ורדפינ לכונ ואמרינ עליכונ כל מלא בישׁא מטלתי בדגלותא |
| [12]Then rejoice and exult because your reward is great in Heaven thus for they persecuted the prophets those who were before you |
[12]הידינ חדו ורוזו דאגרכונ סגי בשׁמיא הכנא גיר רדפו לנביא דמנ קדמיכונ |
| [13]You are the salt of the earth if that but salt becomes insipid with what will it be salted? for a thing not it is fit except to be thrown outside and be trodden by people |
[13]אנתונ אנונ מלחה דארעא אנ הו דינ דמלחא תפכה במנא תתמלח למדמ לא אזלא אלא דתשׁתדא לבר ותתדישׁ מנ אנשׁא |
| [14]You are the light of the world not it is possible for you to hide a city that upon a mountain has been built |
[14]אנתונ אנונ נוהרה דעלמא לא משׁכחא דתטשׁא מדינתא דעל טורא בניא |
| [15]And not they light a lamp and set it under a basket but on a lampstand and it gives light to all those who in the house are |
[15]ולא מנהרינ שׁרגא וסימינ לה תחית סאתא אלא על מנרתא ומנהר לכל אילינ דבביתא אנונ |
| [16]Thus will shine your light before the children of men that they may see your works good and may glorify your Father Who is in heaven |
[16]הכנא ננהר נוהרכונ קדמ בנינשׁא דנחזונ עבדיכונ טבא ונשׁבחונ לאבוכונ דבשׁמיא |
| [17]Not think that I have come that I should revoke The Torah or The Prophets not I have come that I should revoke but that I should fulfill |
[17]לא תסברונ דאתית דאשׁרא נמוסא או נביא לא אתית דאשׁרא אלא דאמלא |
| [18]Amen for say I to you that until will pass away Heaven and the earth Yodh one or one Taag not will pass away from The Torah until everything will come to pass |
[18]אמינ גיר אמר אנא לכונ דעדמא דנעברונ שׁמיא וארעא יוד חדא או חד סרטא לא נעבר מנ נמוסא עדמא דכל נהוא |
| [19]Everyone who therefore violates one of commandments these small and will teach thus to the children of men little will be called in the Kingdom of Heaven everyone but who will do and will teach the same great will be called in the Kingdom of Heaven |
[19]כל מנ דנשׁרא הכיל חד מנ פוקדנא הלינ זעורא ונלפ הכנא לבנינשׁא בצירא נתקרא במלכותא דשׁמיא כל דינ דנעבד ונלפ הנא רבא נתקרא במלכותא דשׁמיא |
| [20]Say I to you for that unless will increase your goodness more than that of the Scribes and The Pharisees not you will enter the Kingdom of Heaven |
[20]אמר אנא לכונ גיר דאנ לא תאתר כאנותכונ יתיר מנ דספרא ופרישׁא לא תעלונ למלכותא דשׁמיא |
| [21]You have heard that it was said to the ancients do not murder and everyone who will murder condemned that one is to judgment |
[21]שׁמעתונ דאתאמר לקדמיא לא תקטול וכל דנקטול מחיב הו לדינא |
| [22]I but saying am to you that everyone who will be angry against his brother without cause condemned is before the judge and everyone who will say to his brother I spit on you condemned is before the assembly and whoever will say fool condemned is to Gehenna of fire |
[22]אנא דינ אמר אנא לכונ דכל מנ דנרגז על אחוהי איקא מחיב הו לדינא וכל דנאמר לאחוהי רקא מחיב הו לכנושׁתא וכל מנ דנאמר ללא מחיב הו לגהנא דנורא |
| [23]If do therefore bring you your offering unto the altar and there you remember that holds against you your brother grudge any |
[23]אנ הו הכיל דמקרב אנת קורבנכ על מדבחא ותמנ תתדכר דאחיד עליכ אחוכ אכתא מדמ |
| [24]Leave there your offering before the altar and go first be reconciled with your brother and then come bring your offering |
[24]שׁבוק תמנ קורבנכ על מדבחא וזל לוקדמ אתרעא עמ אחוכ והידינ תא קרב קורבנכ |
| [25]Be allied with ? your plaintiff quickly while with him you on the street lest ? your plaintiff deliver you to the judge and the judge delivers you to the tax collector and you fall into the house of prisoners |
[25]הוית מתאוא עמ בעל דינכ עגל עד עמה אנת באורחא דלמא בעל דינכ נשׁלמכ לדינא ודינא נשׁלמכ לגביא ותפל בית אסירא |
| [26]And truly say I to you that not you will come out from there until you give farthing [one quarter of a cent] the last |
[26]ואמינ אמר אנא לכ דלא תפוק מנ תמנ עדמא דתתל שׁמונא אחריא |
| [27]You have heard that it was spoken not you shall commit adultery |
[27]שׁמעתונ דאתאמר דלא תגור |
| [28]I but saying am to you everyone who looks at a woman so as to lust for her at once commits adultery with her in his heart |
[28]אנא דינ אמר אנא לכונ דכל מנ דחזא אנתתא איכ דנרגיה מחדא גרה בלבה |
| [29]If but your eye of the right side stumbles you pluck it out and cast it from you it is profitable for you for that be lost one your member and not entire your body should fall into Gehenna |
[29]אנ דינ עינכ דימינא מכשׁלא לכ חציה ושׁדיה מנכ פקח לכ גיר דנאבד חד הדמכ ולא כלה פגרכ נפל בגהנא |
| [30]And if your hand of the right stumbles you cut it off cast it from you it is profitable to you for that be lost one of your members and not entire your body fall into Gehenna |
[30]ואנ אידכ דימינא מכשׁלא לכ פסוק שׁדיה מנכ פקח לכ גיר דנאבד חד מנ הדמיכ ולא כלה פגרכ נפל בגהנא |
| [31]It has been said that whoever divorces His wife let Him give her a writing of repudiation |
[31]אתאמר דמנ דשׁרא אנתתה נתל לה כתבא דדוללא |
| [32]I but saying am to you that everyone who divorces His wife apart from the report of fornication He causes her that she will commit adultery and whoever takes her that is divorced is committing adultery |
[32]אנא דינ אמר אנא לכונ דכל מנ דשׁרא אנתתה לבר מנ מלתא דזניותא עבד לה דתגור ומנ דשׁקל שׁביקתא גאר |
| [33]Again you have heard that it was said to the ancients that not you will lie in your oath you will fulfill but to the Lord the Lord your oaths |
[33]תוב שׁמעתונ דאתאמר לקדמיא דלא תדגל במומתכ תשׁלמ דינ למריא מומתכ |
| [34]I but say I to you not you shall swear at all not by Heaven for the throne it is of Alaha |
[34]אנא דינ אמר אנא לכונ לא תאמונ סכ לא בשׁמיא דכורסיא הו דאלהא |
| [35]Neither by the earth for the stool it is under His feet nor by Jerusalem for the city it is of The King the Great |
[35]ולא בארעא דכובשׁא הי דתחית רגלוהי אפ לא באורישׁלמ דמדינתה הי דמלכא רבא |
| [36]Neither by your head shall you swear because not can you make in it hair a certain of the hairs black or white |
[36]אפ לא ברשׁכ תאמא דלא משׁכח אנת למעבד בה מנתא חדא דסערא או כמתא או חורתא |
| [37]But shall be your statement Yes Yes and No No anything that these exceeds from the evil one is |
[37]אלא תהוא מלתכונ אינ אינ ולא לא מדמ דמנ הלינ יתיר מנ בישׁא הו |
| [38]You have heard that it was said an eye in exchange for an eye and a tooth in exchange for a tooth |
[38]שׁמעתונ דאתאמר דעינא חלפ עינא ושׁנא חלפ שׁנא |
| [39]I but saying am to you that not you shall rise up against an evil person but whoever strikes you on your cheek of the right side turn to him also the other |
[39]אנא דינ אמר אנא לכונ דלא תקומונ לוקבל בישׁא אלא מנ דמחא לכ על פככ דימינא אפנא לה אפ אחרנא |
| [40]And whoever wants to sue with you and take your coat leave to him also your cloak |
[40]ומנ דצבא דנדונ עמכ ונשׁקול כותינכ שׁבוק לה אפ מרטוטכ |
| [41]Whoever compels you to go mile one go with him two |
[41]מנ דמשׁחר לכ מילא חד זל עמה תרינ |
| [42]Whoever asks you give to him and whoever wants to borrow from you not you shall refuse him |
[42]מנ דשׁאל לכ הב לה ומנ דצבא דנאזפ מנכ לא תכליוהי |
| [43]You have heard that it was said Show kindness to your neighbor and hate your enemy |
[43]שׁמעתונ דאתאמר דרחמ לקריבכ וסני לבעלדבבכ |
| [44]I but say I to you love your enemies and bless the one who curses you and do what is beautiful to the one who hates you and pray over those who take you by force and persecute you |
[44]אנא דינ אמר אנא לכונ אחבו לבעלדבביכונ וברכו למנ דלאט לכונ ועבדו דשׁפיר למנ דסנא לכונ וצלו על אילינ דדברינ לכונ בקטירא ורדפינ לכונ |
| [45]So that you will become the children of your Father Who in Heaven is for rises His sun on the good and upon the evil and descends His rain on the just and on the unjust |
[45]איכנא דתהוונ בנוהי דאבוכונ דבשׁמיא הו דמדנח שׁמשׁה על טבא ועל בישׁא ומחת מטרה על כאנא ועל עולא |
| [46]If for love you those who love you what? benefit is it to you not? Behold even the tax collectors that same thing are doing |
[46]אנ גיר מחבינ אנתונ לאילינ דמחבינ לכונ מנא אגרא אית לכונ לא הא אפ מכסא הי הדא עבדינ |
| [47]And if invoking you are the peace of your brethren only what thing excellent doing are you? are not Behold even the tax collectors that same thing doing? |
[47]ואנ שׁאלינ אנתונ בשׁלמא דאחיכונ בלחוד מנא יתיר עבדינ אנתונ לא הא אפ מכסא הי הדא עבדינ |
| [48]Shall be therefore you perfect just as your Father Who is in Heaven perfect is |
[48]הוו הכיל אנתונ גמירא איכנא דאבוכונ דבשׁמיא גמיר הו |
