The Gospel of Nicodemus
GspNic
[1]Judge not, that ye be not judged. [No book]
[2]For with the judgment that ye judge, ye shall be judged; and by the measure that ye measure, shall it be measured to you. [No book]
[3]And why observest thou the straw in thy brother's eye, and regardest not the beam that is in thine own eye? [No book]
[4]Or how canst thou say to thy brother, Allow me to pluck the straw from thy eye; and lo! a beam is in thy own eye. [No book]
[5]Thou hypocrite; pluck first the beam from thy own eye; and then thou wilt see clearly, to pluck the straw out of thy brother's eye. [No book]
[6]Give not a holy thing to dogs: and cast not your pearls before swine; lest they tread them under their feet, and turn and lacerate you. [No book]
[7]Ask, and it shall be given to you: seek, and ye shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you. [No book]
[8]For, every one that asketh, receiveth: and he that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened. [No book]
[9]For what man is there among you, of whom if his son ask bread, will he reach him a stone? [No book]
[10]Or if he ask of him a fish, will he reach him a serpent? [No book]
[11]If ye then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? [No book]
[12]Whatsoever ye would that men should do to you; so also do ye to them: for this is the law and the prophets. [No book]
[13]Enter ye in by the strait gate; for wide is the gate and broad the way which leadeth to destruction; and many are they that walk in it. [No book]
[14]How small the gate and straitened the way that leadeth to life, and few they who find it! [No book]
[15]Beware of false prophets; who come to you in the garb of sheep, but internally they are rapacious wolves. [No book]
[16]And from their fruits ye shall know them. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes; or figs from thistles? [No book]
[17]So every good tree beareth good fruits; but a bad tree beareth bad fruits. [No book]
[18]A good tree cannot bear bad fruits; nor can a bad tree bear good fruits. [No book]
[19]Every tree that beareth not good fruits, is cut down and consigned to the fire. [No book]
[20]Wherefore, by their fruits ye shall know them. [No book]
[21]Not whoever may say to me, My Lord, my Lord, will enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven. [No book]
[22]Many will say to me in that day, My Lord, my Lord, have-we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name cast out demons? and in thy name wrought many works of power? [No book]
[23]And then will I declare to them; I never knew you. Depart from me, ye doers of evil. [No book]
[24]Every one therefore that heareth these my discourses, and doeth them, will be like to a wise man, one that built his house upon a rock. [No book]
[25]And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew; and they rushed upon that house; and it fell not, for its foundations were laid upon a rock. [No book]
[26]And every one that heareth these my discourses, and doeth them not, will be like a foolish man that built his house upon sand. [No book]
[27]And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew; and they rushed upon that house, and it fell; and great was the ruin of it. [No book]
[28]And so it was, that when Jesus had ended these discourses, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching: [No book]
[29]for he taught them as one having authority; and not as their Scribes and Pharisees. [No book]
