[2]And thy brethrenH251 also of the tribeH4294 of LeviH3878, the tribeH7626 of thy fatherH1, bringH7126[H8685] thou with thee, that they may be joinedH3867[H8735] unto thee, and ministerH8334[H8762] unto thee: but thou and thy sonsH1121 with thee shall minister beforeH6440 the tabernacleH168 of witnessH5715.
[3]And they shall keepH8104[H8804] thy chargeH4931, and the chargeH4931 of all the tabernacleH168: only they shall not come nighH7126[H8799] the vesselsH3627 of the sanctuaryH6944 and the altarH4196, that neither they, nor ye also, dieH4191.[H8799]
[4]And they shall be joinedH3867[H8738] unto thee, and keepH8104[H8804] the chargeH4931 of the tabernacleH168 of the congregationH4150, for all the serviceH5656 of the tabernacleH168: and a strangerH2114[H8801] shall not come nighH7126 unto youH8799.
[5]And ye shall keepH8104[H8804] the chargeH4931 of the sanctuaryH6944, and the chargeH4931 of the altarH4196: that there be no wrathH7110 any more upon the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478.
[6]And I, behold, I have takenH3947[H8804] your brethrenH251 the LevitesH3881 from amongH8432 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478: to you they are givenH5414[H8803] as a giftH4979 for the LORDH3068, to doH5647[H8800] the serviceH5656 of the tabernacleH168 of the congregationH4150.
[7]Therefore thou and thy sonsH1121 with thee shall keepH8104[H8799] your priest's officeH3550 for every thingH1697 of the altarH4196, and withinH1004 the vailH6532; and ye shall serveH5647[H8804]: I have givenH5414[H8799] your priest's officeH3550 unto you as a serviceH5656 of giftH4979: and the strangerH2114[H8801] that cometh nighH7131 shall be put to deathH4191.[H8714]
[8]And the LORDH3068 spakeH1696[H8762] unto AaronH175, Behold, I also have givenH5414[H8804] thee the chargeH4931 of mine heave offeringsH8641 of all the hallowed thingsH6944 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478; unto thee have I givenH5414[H8804] them by reason of the anointingH4888, and to thy sonsH1121, by an ordinanceH2706 for everH5769.
[9]This shall be thine of the mostH6944 holy thingsH6944, reserved from the fireH784: every oblationH7133 of theirs, every meat offeringH4503 of theirs, and every sin offeringH2403 of theirs, and every trespass offeringH817 of theirs, which they shall renderH7725[H8686] unto me, shall be mostH6944 holyH6944 for thee and for thy sonsH1121.
[10]In the mostH6944 holyH6944 place shalt thou eatH398[H8799] it; every maleH2145 shall eatH398[H8799] it: it shall be holy unto theeH6944.
[11]And this is thine; the heave offeringH8641 of their giftH4976, with all the wave offeringsH8573 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478: I have givenH5414[H8804] them unto thee, and to thy sonsH1121 and to thy daughtersH1323 with thee, by a statuteH2706 for everH5769: every one that is cleanH2889 in thy houseH1004 shall eatH398 of itH8799.
[12]All the bestH2459 of the oilH3323, and all the bestH2459 of the wineH8492, and of the wheatH1715, the firstfruitsH7225 of them which they shall offerH5414[H8799] unto the LORDH3068, them have I givenH5414 theeH8804.
[13]And whatsoever is first ripeH1061 in the landH776, which they shall bringH935[H8686] unto the LORDH3068, shall be thine; every one that is cleanH2889 in thine houseH1004 shall eatH398 of itH8799.
[14]Every thing devotedH2764 in Israel shall be thineH3478.
[15]Every thing that openethH6363 the matrixH7358 in all fleshH1320, which they bringH7126[H8686] unto the LORDH3068, whether it be of menH120 or beastsH929, shall be thine: nevertheless the firstbornH1060 of manH120 shalt thou surelyH6299[H8800] redeemH6299[H8799], and the firstlingH1060 of uncleanH2931 beastsH929 shalt thou redeemH6299.[H8799]
[16]And those that are to be redeemedH6299[H8803] from a monthH2320 oldH1121 shalt thou redeemH6299[H8799], according to thine estimationH6187, for the moneyH3701 of fiveH2568 shekelsH8255, after the shekelH8255 of the sanctuaryH6944, which is twentyH6242 gerahsH1626.
[17]But the firstlingH1060 of a cowH7794, or the firstlingH1060 of a sheepH3775, or the firstlingH1060 of a goatH5795, thou shalt not redeemH6299[H8799]; they are holyH6944: thou shalt sprinkleH2236[H8799] their bloodH1818 upon the altarH4196, and shalt burnH6999[H8686] their fatH2459 for an offering made by fireH801, for a sweetH5207 savourH7381 unto the LORDH3068.
[18]And the fleshH1320 of them shall be thine, as the waveH8573 breastH2373 and as the rightH3225 shoulder are thineH7785.
[19]All the heave offeringsH8641 of the holy thingsH6944, which the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 offerH7311[H8686] unto the LORDH3068, have I givenH5414[H8804] thee, and thy sonsH1121 and thy daughtersH1323 with thee, by a statuteH2706 for everH5769: it is a covenantH1285 of saltH4417 for everH5769 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 unto thee and to thy seed with theeH2233.
[20]And the LORDH3068 spakeH559[H8799] unto AaronH175, Thou shalt have no inheritanceH5157[H8799] in their landH776, neither shalt thou have any partH2506 amongH8432 them: I am thy partH2506 and thine inheritanceH5159 amongH8432 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478.
[21]And, behold, I have givenH5414[H8804] the childrenH1121 of LeviH3878 all the tenthH4643 in IsraelH3478 for an inheritanceH5159, forH2500 their serviceH5656 which they serveH5647[H8802], even the serviceH5656 of the tabernacleH168 of the congregationH4150.
[22]Neither must the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 henceforthH5750 come nighH7126[H8799] the tabernacleH168 of the congregationH4150, lest they bearH5375[H8800] sinH2399, and dieH4191.[H8800]
[23]But the LevitesH3881 shall doH5647[H8804] the serviceH5656 of the tabernacleH168 of the congregationH4150, and they shall bearH5375[H8799] their iniquityH5771: it shall be a statuteH2708 for everH5769 throughout your generationsH1755, that amongH8432 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 they haveH5157[H8799] no inheritanceH5159.
[24]But the tithesH4643 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, which they offerH7311[H8686] as an heave offeringH8641 unto the LORDH3068, I have givenH5414[H8804] to the LevitesH3881 to inheritH5159: therefore I have saidH559[H8804] unto them, AmongH8432 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 they shall haveH5157[H8799] no inheritanceH5159.
[25]And the LORDH3068 spakeH1696[H8762] unto MosesH4872, sayingH559,[H8800]
[26]Thus speakH1696[H8762] unto the LevitesH3881, and sayH559[H8804] unto them, When ye takeH3947[H8799] of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 the tithesH4643 which I have givenH5414[H8804] you from them for your inheritanceH5159, then ye shall offerH7311[H8689] up an heave offeringH8641 of it for the LORDH3068, even a tenthH4643 part of the titheH4643.
[27]And this your heave offeringH8641 shall be reckonedH2803[H8738] unto you, as though it were the cornH1715 of the threshingfloorH1637, and as the fulnessH4395 of the winepressH3342.
[28]Thus ye also shall offerH7311[H8686] an heave offeringH8641 unto the LORDH3068 of all your tithesH4643, which ye receiveH3947[H8799] of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478; and ye shall giveH5414[H8804] thereof the LORD'SH3068 heave offeringH8641 to AaronH175 the priestH3548.
[29]Out of all your giftsH4979 ye shall offerH7311[H8686] every heave offeringH8641 of the LORDH3068, of all the bestH2459 thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of itH4720.
[30]Therefore thou shalt sayH559[H8804] unto them, When ye have heavedH7311[H8687] the bestH2459 thereof from it, then it shall be countedH2803[H8738] unto the LevitesH3881 as the increaseH8393 of the threshingfloorH1637, and as the increaseH8393 of the winepressH3342.
[31]And ye shall eatH398[H8804] it in every placeH4725, ye and your householdsH1004: for it is your rewardH7939 forH2500 your serviceH5656 in the tabernacleH168 of the congregationH4150.
[32]And ye shall bearH5375[H8799] no sinH2399 by reason of it, when ye have heavedH7311[H8687] from it the bestH2459 of it: neither shall ye polluteH2490[H8762] the holy thingsH6944 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, lest ye dieH4191.[H8799]
